Digital Signature with RSA Public Key Cryptography for Data Integrity in SOSE-Based E-Government Systems

    No full text
Purpose: SOSE is a novel software paradigm suitable for development of flexible, loose-coupled and end-to-end E-government system. However, the use of this innovation for E-government system is dwindled by security challenge. Apparently, the TLS (transport layer security) solution traditionally applied to protect SOSE-based E-government systems is inadequate since it can only secure point-to-point channels of communicating. Whereas, an end-to-end security protection is necessary to adequately protect SOSE-based applications. Design/Methodology/Approach: Consequently, this paper proposed use of Digital Signature by RSA (Rivest-Shamir-Adleman) public key cryptographic algorithm at the message level to achieve data integrity in SOSE-based E-government system. Findings/Result: The SOAP message content shows adequate formulation of digital signature with appropriate indicators of RSA public key to ensure data integrity. The SOAP message shows that SignedInfo, Signature Value and KeyInfo were formulated correctly. The SignedInfo contains Canonicalization Method, Signature Method and Reference subelements. Also, SignatureValue element has encrypted digest and the KeyInfo element has security token reference. Originality/Value: This security solution integrates many technologies including OASIS’s web service security standard and W3C’s (World Wide Web Consortium) XML digital signature into SOAP envelope to ensure data integrity for E-government system at the message level. Purpose: To develop a holistic and comprehensive model of the research process which would help Ph.D. scholars in designing a robust and realizable research methodology during their Ph.D. program. Design/Methodology/Approach: Postmodernism philosophical paradigm; Inductive research approach; Observation data collection method; Longitudinal data collection time frame; Qualitative data analysis. Findings/Result: We determinedly believe that the DDLR model of the research process would cease all the predispositions, misconceptions, and misunderstandings about doctoral-level research and research methodology/design. As long as the Ph.D. scholars can understand all the sixteen steps of the DDLR model and make mindful choices in each step they will be able to convert a complicated Ph.D. journey into an intellectually challenging and interesting journey thereby generating original and significant research outputs. Originality/Value: Of course, we have not invented anything new in the DDLR model. But, for sure we have discovered a systematic way of arranging all the available steps of doing research in a well-thought-through process flow that is appropriate and applicable for scholars admitted to Ph.D. programs across disciplines. In addition, the DDLR model would enable Ph.D. scholars in designing a robust and realizable research methodology. There are several books, materials, blogs, articles, etc that are produced by many authors about research methodology. However, they have attempted to focus on a specific step of the research process. Developing the DDLR model is an attempt to collate all the existing knowledge about research methodology that is useful for Ph.D. scholars (to-be-doctorates). Paper Type: Conceptual model

    No full text
Purpose: All people, including you and me, have motivational behaviors, and every individual comes up with different factors to influence their motivational behavior. It is what makes us the person we are. Our motivational behaviors take care of our behavior, thinking ability, emotions, thoughts, and even individual feelings, even at their unconscious levels. Such that, the mentioned things will always help in forecasting the future and also their behavioral changes in different situations. Many of the earlier studies have proved that there is no correlation between motivation levels of the individual through their blood group, but the concept remains more popular in all dimensions. Objective: The researchers have set the following primary objective and the current study investigates a broad research question to identify whether blood type has a relationship with motivational behaviors. Methodology: The study is based on secondary evidence. In this regard, various libraries were visited and some online journals were also reviewed in this direction. Findings/Result: Researchers have found that blood type does have a relationship with personality and behaviors in countries where belief in the blood type personality theory is strong. This study concluded that people changed their personality to fit their blood type instead of in a self-fulfilling prophecy. Thus, blood type does have a relationship with motivational behaviors like motivation is an internal process, the anatomy of motivation, motivational traits, character motivation, and neuro motivation, intrinsic and extrinsic &major determinants of motivation. Research Implications: Motivational behaviors need to be tackled with the weapon of trend motivational techniques i.e., beyond monetary compensation for which the blood type and their relationship with motivational behaviors help a lot. Originality/Value: Other researchers have found that blood type does have a relationship with personality and behaviors. Similarly, blood type affects motivational behaviors. In countries like Japan, Korea, Asia, etc., where belief in the blood type personality theory is strong. This study concluded that people changed their motivation & personalities to fit their blood type instead of in a self-fulfilling prophecy. In this way, it is similar to the use of astrological signs, which is also popular in Japan. Paper Type: The present study made an attempt to identify whether blood type has a relationship with motivation. The study is based on secondary evidence
