A Review on Policy Gaps of Agriculture Research and Development (R&D) in India and Their Effect on Agriculture Stakeholders
Purpose: An impressive stride in the agriculture sector in India after green revolution from a food deficient to food surplus country is attributed to the well-established infrastructure and contribution of various farm families in this sector. In the current scenario, various cons of food surplus and other stagnation issues of the policies need to be contemplated. The various policy reforms should inculcate well utilization of agriculture investment funds, methodologies to allow increments in farmer’s income to prevent their suicidal rates, incentives and requirements for private R&D investment in agriculture while maintaining the sustainable development goal of India. A complete transparent paradigm approach to be followed by the central, state governments and private sectors for fostering agriculture growth is analyzed in this review. The impetus behind the lack of agriculture growth in spite of tremendous productivity measures adopted by farmers, policy makers; public and private investment lies in lacking of an appropriate infrastructure as per current need and demand. It is imperative to foster paradigm protocol in agriculture with articulate government intermediaries to prevent monopoly of a particular authority in due course of time. It develops spurring behavior among stakeholders to form a consortium to revitalize the complete agriculture R&D to obviate the bottle necks hampering agriculture proliferation.
Design: The present review highlights the mandatory need in the current scenario to review the agriculture research and development policies and desired amendments as per the needs of the associated stake holders.

There has been a world alarming and warming situation due to global outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic taking along most important the human cost, mentally, physically with economic cost too. Tracking and Monitoring Fitness of Athletes Using IoT Enabled Wearables for Activity Recognition and Random Forest Algorithm for Performance Prediction
Purpose: The progression in technology is made the best use of in every field. Sports analytics is an essential sector that has gained importance in this technology-driven era. It is used to determine the hidden relationships among different quantitative parameters that affect the performance of athletes. This type of analysis requires a large amount of data to be stored periodically. Cloud acts as a scalable centralized repository that can store the massive data essential for analysis purpose. From the technological perspective there are numerous wearable activity tracking devices, which will be able to provide feedback of physical activities. With the help of random forest (RF) algorithm it is possible to classify huge datasets to perform predictions. In this paper, different smart devices that can be used to measure physical activity, use of RF algorithm for converting data obtained from smart devices into knowledge are explored. A conceptual model that uses wearable devices for tracking and monitoring and RF algorithm to predict the performance is suggested.
Methodology: The study was conducted by referring to scholarly documents available online and by referring to websites of companies offering healthcare and sports related services. A conceptual model is developed based on the theoretical perception that incorporates the components needed for measuring the physical activities to predict the performance of athletes.
Findings/Result: In this paper the proposed system contains four major activities as Capture, Store, Analyze, and Predict. The model considers use of IoT-enabled wearable devices to measure the physical activities of athletes and the information collected will in turn be used to analyze predict their performance and suggest them how to increase the chances of winning. However, the outcome of a game does not only depend upon the PA of athletes. It depends also upon the physical, mental, emotional health, nutrition and many other factors.
Originality: In this paper, a theoretical model is deduced to integrate IoT and RF Algorithm to track and monitor fitness of athletes using wearables for activity recognition and performance prediction.

An AI-based Analysis of the effect of COVID-19 Stringency Index on Infection rates: A case of India
Purpose: The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has already been felt worldwide, disrupting the unremarkable life of individuals. Social consequences and viral transmission are challenges that must be resolved to effectively overcome the problems that occur throughout this pandemic. The COVID-19 infection data about India were represented using different statistical models. In this paper, the authors focus on the data collected between 1st January 2020 and 12th April 2021, try analyzing the different indexes related to India, and predict the number of infected people in the near future. Based on the infection rate, it is possible to classify a country as “fixed,” “evolving” and “exponential.” Based on the prediction, some recommendations are proposed to contain the outbreak of the disease. This will also help the government and policymakers to identify and analyze various risks associated with 'opening up' and 'shutting down' in response to the outbreak of the disease. With the help of these models, it is possible to predict the number of cases in the near future.
Methodology: COVID-19 Stringency Index, Government Response Index, and Containment Health Index calculated, published, and updated real-time by a research group from Oxford University (https://www.bsg.ox.ac.uk/research/research-projects/covid-19-government-response-tracker) on 21 mitigation and suppression measures employed by different countries were analyzed using a few mathematical models to find the relationship between Stringency Index and infection rates and forecast trends. A new model was proposed after analyzing a few mathematical models proposed by the researchers. Data analytics was also conducted using AI-based data analytics tools available online. The dataset was kept updated until the date April 20, 2021, was downloaded for this purpose. The appropriate values were extracted from the original dataset and used to construct a sub-dataset, which was then used for the analytics. An AI-based online Data Analytics tool provided by datapine was used to forecast trends.
Findings/Result: It was observed that in India, as in other countries, there is a close association between Stringency Level and COVID-19 cases. The higher the degree of stringency, the lower the cases, and vice versa. The same can be said about the government's role and degree of containment & health.
Originality: In this paper, we analyzed various mathematical models for predicting the total number of COVID-19 cases and deaths due to COVID-19 in India. We also examined the relationship between total cases and the Government's Response Index, Containment & Health Index, and Stringency Index indicators. The model we proposed to predict COVID-19 cases on a day-by-day basis had a 98 percent accuracy rate and a 2% error rate.

Zuber’s Coronavirus Disease (COVID- 19) Standards for Hospitals
Purpose: The Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) is affecting 220 nations and territories in the world. As of May 11th, 2021, there were 158,651,638 reported and confirmed cases of COVID-19 to WHO, out of which 3,299,764 were reported death to WHO. However, there are no defined, structured and concise Coronavirus Disease (COVID- 19) Standards for Hospitals in order to manage such cases in the hospitals by maintain quality, patient safety, risk management and patient experience.
Objective: To develop Coronavirus Disease (COVID- 19) Standards for Hospitals.
Method: This is a review of literature study and the data were collected with comprehensive searches in the online databases of goggle scholars and research gate.
Conclusions: The study concluded with “Zuber’s Coronavirus Disease (COVID- 19) Standards for Hospitals.
Study and Analysis of the Influence of UX in MIUI – A Case Study on Xiaomi
Purpose: In an ever-changing world, we all have one thing in our hands that is constant, a Mobile Phone. When we buy a Smart Phone, we do make sure we buy the best one that offers a combination of Good Hardware, Great Software, and also a price that we can put for the features offered. In that way, we cannot deny the fact that Xiaomi also called Mi or Redmi phones are some of the best market players we have seen. Even though people generally look only for the hardware features of the phone, it is inevitable to use an Operating System that will take advantage of the hardware features and also be user-friendly. Mi offers such one OS to its users in the form of MIUI, a modified version of the Android OS that normally comes in stock android-based phones. In this paper, we try to understand how Xiaomi as a company has made the OS a marketing strategy for them to popularize their product and become one of the best-selling mobile phones in China and India.
Objectives: To understand the evolution and features that MIUI has to offer, to do a comparative study with its competitors and to provide suggestions to improve the company based on the analysis done.
Design/Methodology/Approach: This company analysis was done by referring to multiple online sources, such as websites and blogs that guide and review products based on MIUI from Xiaomi. The analysis of the influence of UX in MIUI was done with a SWOC Analysis.
Findings/Result: Based on the SWOC analysis of the company, keeping MIUI as a major criterion, the various opportunities and challenges that are there for Xiaomi are discussed. It is found that the company will be able to keep growing as long as it takes advantage of the current scenario and overcome its challenges.
Originality/Value: Based on secondary data available, this paper analyses the influence of User Experience in MIUI provided by Xiaomi.

Digital Payment Service in India - A Case Study of Unified Payment Interface
Purpose: The Indian Banking sector is striving hard to popularise digital payments and has gained momentum after demonetization and digital India initiatives. To facilitate digital payments, “National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI)” launched the “Unified Payment Interface (UPI)”, which is an amazing, revamped, and cost-effective breakthrough for enabling digital payment services for all. Proliferation of smartphones, technological innovations, and effective internet communications has signified the usage of mobile payment facility for smartphone users, financial institutions and particularly the banks. To achieve paperless and cashless economy, Unified Payment Interface (UPI) is a potentially innovative way of transferring funds using a virtual payment address established by the National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI). Hence, it is needed to be assessed for its potential to contribute towards achievement of digital economy.
Design/Methodology/Approach: This paper is focused on understanding Unified Payment System’s (UPI) growth and its progression in retail digital payment over the years. The study was carried out by exploring secondary data sources and by applying Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) analysis format.
Finding/Result: UPI has shown remarkable growth in last couple of years due to customer’s shift towards contactless payments over other methods. Study revealed that the growth of digital payments has increased significantly, especially in the retail payment sector on the UPI platform.
Originality value: This study examines UPI's position in the digital payment ecosystem, with an emphasis on identifying UPI's core strengths and growth prospects, as well as areas for future research to investigate India's complete e-payment ecosystem.

Restoring Tourism Industry in India after Covid-19: A Case Study
Purpose: This research paper assesses the effect of Corona Virus or COVID-19 on Indian tourism industry and also focuses on restoring Indian tourism by suggesting/recommending tourism industries to change their approach towards tourists which brings back the departed glory. According to WTCC, the Covid-19 epidemic is depended upon to cost the movement business basically USD 22 billion achieving a lack of 50 million situations all throughout the world. India is no special case; the travel industry has seen a critical decay during 2020.In such a circumstance India is no exemption; the travel industry has seen a huge decrease during 2020. GOI has an urgent job to carry out in recovery and development of the travel industry. To avoid the spread of the covid-19 government of India imposed lockdown in all the states including union territories, travel restrictions, national international flight restrictions which made worst effect on Indian tourism by causing huge damage towards country’s GDP and also many peoples lost their employments.
Objectives: we aim to present the restoration of Indian tourism industry which got worst affected by COVID-19 pandemic by providing recommendations to restore the same.

A Case Study of Cashew Industry in Karnataka
Purpose: In the Indian food processing sector, the cashew nut processing industry plays a critical role. Often, the cashew is considered as ‘both a poor person’s crop and a rich person’s meal.’ From the cultivators, traders, wholesalers, processors to supermarkets and retailers, the cashew processing sector is a vital source of income. Cashew processing is a labour-intensive sector that has always employed a significant number of rural women. The purpose of this study is to gain an in-depth understanding of the Cashew Processing Sector, its position in the world market, issues it is confronting and future prospects. While doing so, the present study attempts to examine the profile of the Indian Cashew Industry, including cashew processing and international trade. The quality, flavour and appearance of the Indian cashew kernels are highly respected in other nations and are consumed in more than 60 countries worldwide. Unfortunately, it was found that cashew production in India has been fluctuating in recent years. Despite its tremendous expansion, India’s cashew sector has been affected by low-quality cashew cultivated in some regions, which is mostly due to improper harvesting techniques, inadequate drying of the nuts and insufficient storage and warehouse facilities for dried cashew nuts.
Design: For the purpose of analysis, this study used secondary data sources - Google Scholar articles, cashew industry and other related websites. Moreover, the literature is used to analyse the position of the industry within SWOC and PESTLE framework analysis.
Findings: Based on the analysis, the cashew business needs certain incentives to attain a better rate of production and export growth in the future.
Value: This paper emphases on the growth of the cashew industry in India in relation to its current status and future opportunities. Based on findings and their interpretation, the Indian Cashew Industry must prepare itself for the ever-increasing demand of the domestic market and contribute more effectively to the country’s economic growth.

Literature Review of Applications of ICT on Solar Cold Chain
The Cold Chain (CC) is a system containing a range of processes like shipping ‘temperaturesensitive’ items by special kind of packaging along a supply chain, and strategic planning to ensurethe safety and integrity of items that are shipped. The items of CC are transported in many ways,such as refrigerated vehicles and railcars, cargo ships, reefers, and air freight. For many years, the‘Cold’ element of the system, that is, refrigerators, powered by gas or kerosene was consideredthe most appropriate option in areas without reliable energy sources like electricity. Nevertheless,numerous problems with these tools have made it both difficult and costly to maintaintemperatures within the safe range. In the 1980s, solar refrigerators powered by batteries wereintroduced as a solution to those problems. But the batteries they relied on required regularmaintenance, had a lifespan of only three to five years, and replacements of quality were costly and sometimes hard to get. A new solution has emerged in recent years, the design of a solar refrigerator, removing the need for costly and unreliable energy storage batteries used to powersolar refrigerators. This technology uses solar energy to freeze cold storage material directly andthen uses the energy stored in the frozen bank to keep the refrigerator cool at night and on cloudydays. The new ICT technology offers greater visibility and control over the entire CC networkoperated by the solar. Using data in real-time, ICT component Technology called the Internet ofThings (IoT) will allow quicker, more appropriate reactions as well as much more informeddecisions.
