Changing Paradigm of Consumer Experience Through Martech – A Case Study on Indian Online Retail Industry
Purpose: Retail selling is an inevitable economic activity in any country’s economy. In India, the retail industry contributes 10% of its GDP. The invention of the Internet and technological advancement in digital marketing has helped the online retail industry to grow exponentially. Digital advancement has created an environment where customers are more informed, hence chooser and demanding. Marketing technology or ‘Martech’ encompasses technology to reach online customers to provide pre-eminent customer experience, to meaningfully engage and retain them. The latest such technologies are Artificial Intelligence, Augmented/Virtual Reality, Internet of Things, Natural Language Processing, Block Chain Technology, etc. This paper is an exploratory study using secondary data, which revealed that many firms have already adopted and most others are willing to adopt such advanced technologies in the near future as they are convinced that such technologies can phenomenally change the marketing strategies. This study also explores the current status of retail industry and also the opportunities and challenges of adopting these technologies from marketers’ perspective. It also proposes suggestions from a user perspective, based on the analysis findings.
Design Methodology: Developing a conceptual framework using primary and secondary data collected from various studies published by the govt, global research firms, blogs, and other internet articles.
Findings: This paper revealed a dire need to adapt the marketing technology in the retailing industry for future survival. The analysis also revealed that the affinity for internet and online purchases is increasing exponentially hence the latest technology such as Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Machine Learning, Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality, and Natural Language Processing are tremendously revolutionizing the customer experience and thereby increased level of Customer Engagement.

Corporate Social Responsibility – A Case Study on Strategies of Indian Private and Public Sector Banks
Purpose: The banking industry in the service industry sector in India contributes to the economy of the country by mobilizing the deposits and providing credits to other industries, industry sectors, and individuals. As per new government policy, private banks mandatorily and public banks are voluntarily required to contribute to corporate social responsibility fund of 2% of the profit on social service activities to address a variety of societal needs. It is interesting to know how Indian banks have utilized CSR funds by means of smart decision-making. It is interesting to compare the CSR activities of some selected public and private sector banks in India, to know their smart strategies for improving the organizational business benefits.
Design/Methodology: This study identifies and analyses various social responsibility programs organized by selected banking organizations of India. The data and information used are obtained from websites of chosen banks, bank literature from different websites, banks statements, and related case studies.
Findings: The government has declared that companies earning a profit of 500 crores or more should establish a CSR team that should contain three or more executives and one independent administrator to develop CSR guidelines and to handle the CSR activities. Based on the comparison of CSR activities between private and public sector banks, it is found that the CSR activities offered by private sector banks focused on directly supporting their customer services and CSR activities offered by public banks are indirectly supported their brand-building activities so that these two types of banks could get benefit in terms of customer satisfaction and promotion of their services to weaker sections of the society, respectively.
Originality/Value: This research paper analyzes the role played by private and public banks in the effective implementation of their corporate social responsibilities by segregating the CSR activities into inbound and outbound activities.

Social Engineering Attacks on Facebook – A Case Study
Background/Purpose: Facebook is an American business that offer online social networking services. Facebook was founded in 2004 by Harvard University freshmen Mark Zuckerberg, Eduardo Saverin, Dustin Moskovitz, and Chris Hughes. Free access to Facebook enables new users to create profiles, upload photos to existing groups, and start new ones. Every user's profile page has a Timeline area where they can upload material and their social network connections may reply with messages and Status updates informing them of their current location or condition. Additionally, Facebook includes a function called News Feed that notifies users of updates to their friends' profiles and statuses. Users can communicate with one another and exchange private messages using Facebook Messenger. Additionally, Facebook users may express their approval of a type of content by clicking the "Like" button. Every day, more than a billion people use Facebook, making it the most common social network on the planet. Menlo Park, California, is where the company's headquarters are located.
Objective: To analyse how Facebook is misused and turned into an attack platform, in order to get sensitive information that can be used to create an attack profile against an individual.
Design/Methodology/Approach: SWOT framework is being used to analyse and display information gathered from scholarly publications, web articles, and other sources.
Findings/Results: Social Engineering Attacks using Facebook help the attackers to steal sensitive private information from unaware users. Using a false profile is one of the most frequent techniques to execute a large-scale data harvesting attack. Cyber Criminals use Facebook as the main target for social engineering attacks because of its high number of users and popularity.
Originality/Value: This paper study gives a brief overview of Social Engineering Attacks on Facebook based on a variety of data collected.

NYKAA: A Comprehensive Analysis of a Leading Indian E-Commerce Cosmetic Company
Purpose: The cosmetics industry is one of the major industries that have attracted many players due to its rapid growth. The cosmetics industry plays an important role in developing the country's economy. This study is being taken up to better understand the contribution of the beauty industry to the development of the country and to evaluate the strategies of these companies. Nykaa is one of the leading companies in the cosmetics industry. It offers various products of different brands on one platform. Its setup by Falguni Nayar in 2012. She anticipated the huge opportunity in online trading in the coming years and converted that opportunity into a big vision. Her decision was not wrong it turned into building a large-scale business. By operating multinational, it attracts customers from various regions. Initially, it started the business by offering beauty products later on diversified with fashion, skincare, luxury products. This study is conducted to evaluate the strategies used by NYKAA to be one of the top companies in E-Commerce.
Research Methodology: In this paper, an attempt is made to evaluate financial performance, Competitor’s analysis, CSR, Marketing and Inventory strategy, SWOC framework of Nykaa as a research case study.
Findings: From the study, it’s clear that Nykaa is doing very well in E-retailing and gives tough competition to rival firms. Giving a platform to small entrepreneurs to grow along with their successful journey.

Corporate Social Responsibility - A Study on Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL)
Purpose: In a competitive business climate, primarily determined by the passage of something like the Indian Companies Act-2013, corporate Sustainability obligations must be followed. Currently, corporations must strike a balance between their financial and economic objectives, as well as maximizing shareholder value while also providing social benefits to the community and helping to safeguard the environment. CSR covers actions for a better society authorized under the Companies Act, 2013 such as health, education, women’s empowerment, and environmental sustainability.
Methodology: Secondary data from research journal papers and specific websites on the research subject area was used in this research paper. These findings provide a conceptual framework for CSR operations, as well as an assessment of how MRPL Co. fulfils its commitments to all stakeholders, including particular activities, programmes, and projects. The study focuses on the company’s CSR implementation in order to determine the business’s focal area.
Findings: The analytical framework offered an overview of the organization’s CSR activities and expenditures, in addition to key focus areas and progress in each area of an organisation.
Practical Implications: From a practical standpoint, the proposed framework provides practitioners with a tool that explicitly gauges their companies’ CSR maturity. Stakeholder relations have been critical in the development of many poor regions within India for the MRPL Company. The idea of sustainable growth lies at the heart of both their business choices and Corporate Social Responsibility efforts.
Originality/Value: Using this study approach, we can find out what variables explain the different levels of CSR integration into a company's strategy and quantify the current maturity level.

Forward Kinematics Demonstration of 6DF Robot using CoppeliaSim and C#
Purpose: Robot researchers need the simulator to test their functions and algorithm before implementing into the real Robot. When we search for a good simulator, a customizable Robot simulator is not available to the researcher. Some good options are available in the market, but their price is too high, not affordable. After much research, we found a better solution around all aspects, fully customizable and entirely free of cost. There are two sides. One is a 3D view of robotics ARM, and another is a joint controller of robotics ARM. For 3D simulation, CoppeliaSim is the best option. It is free of cost and Open Source. The C# language is becoming famous for its managed code structure and ease of implementation. Our Robot controller is in the C# language. Microsoft visual studio is the best IDE to control the simulator. It is an unparallel IDE for the programmer. In the CoppeliaSim little bit, Lua script is in associated functions. For Communication Between the CoppeliaSim and our application, we will use the Remote API Framework.Design/Methodology/Approach: Here we are using the prebuild robot model of CoppeliaSim IDE (Integrated Development Environment) to save the time and attach Lua scripts associated with robot object. From Visual studio IDE we control the Virtual Robot through TCP/IP socket object. Using GUI (Graphical User Interface) we send the command to the robot.Findings/Result: The researcher who is developing robotics arm, is required the vast knowledge of position and rotation of different joints. Changing the joint value using the GUI element, we can observe the various robot pose. The researcher can proceed further Sending the multiple sequential command. Thus, we can simulate industrial process automation.Originality/Value: Using both CoppeliaSim and visual studio IDE can create a better environment for our robotics research.Paper Type: Simulation
Open Source Intelligence and its Applications in Next Generation Cyber Security - A Literature Review
Purpose: Research serves as a springboard for new ideas, and every scholarly research begins with a review of the literature. This literature review to familiarize oneself with the domain of research and to establish the credibility of the work. It also aids in the integration and summarization of the subject.
Methodology: The necessary literature on the chosen topic have been gathered from multiple secondary data sources such as journals, conference proceedings, books, research papers published in various reputable publications, and then shortlisted the literature which are relevant for the work. The shortlisted literatures were carefully evaluated by reading each paper and taking notes as needed. The information gathered is then analyzed in order to identify the problem areas that may exist in the chosen topic.
Findings/Result: It has been observed that the chosen topic, Opensource Intelligence (OSINT) practice requires more robust and intelligent solutions from AI and its subfields. The capability of OSINT for intelligent analysis strengthens tightly integrating machine learning and automated reasoning techniques. To avoid human errors, the dependency on humans in decision-making ought to reduce. To eradicate any incorrect information, a truth discovery process is mandatory. OSINT is able to discover new knowledge by correlating intelligence from other OSINT sources. Even though Artificial Intelligence has entered the OSINT field, there is still a long way to go before OSINT fully prepares for the much-anticipated Web 3.0.
Originality: A literature review have had been carried out using secondary data gathered from various online sources, and new knowledge in the form of findings was derived in order to construct a theoretical framework and methodology for future research. It has been ensured that no judgments or decisions are made with a biased mindset or under the influence of any predetermined mentality. Reinventing Smart Water Management System through ICT and IoT Driven Solution for Smart Cities
Purpose: Worldwide water scarcity is one of the major problems to deal with. Smart Cities also faces this challenging problem due to its ever-increasing population and limited sources of natural water. Additionally, careless usage of water and large water wastage has made the water issues as a serious concern. Today Smart Cities are using advanced technical solutions to deal with various problems, to deal with water shortage problems, Smart Cities uses Smart Water Management System, an intelligent system which distributes and control existing water supply on need basis, and also it facilitates recycling of water for again using for specific activities. In this paper I have provided the overview of Smart Water Management System, its features, and functionalities. I also reviewed available literature on Water Management Systems for Smart Cities and considering the latest tools and technologies and understanding some of the limitations of existing Smart Water Management Systems, I proposed an easy to develop, operate and maintain Smart Water Management Solution called as "iWMS". The proposed conceptual framework of iWMS is modular and is based on secure Blockchain based Application Layer. The iWMS solution supports entire water management and recycling functioning cycle and can easily integrate with other services of Smart Cities. The evaluation of iWMS framework provided very encouraging results. It is revealed that iWMS meets the stated objectives of water savings through automated operation and also through controlled water recycling. Unlike other Smart Water Management Systems, iWMS also carefully complies the cybersecurity requirements. Based on evaluation, the advantages, and limitations of iWMS are also stated in this paper. Finally, I have also specified the future plans about iWMS to undertake its full-fledged implementation and addressing of its limitations.
Design/Methodology/Approach: Primary Data collection through Interviews and Questionnaire responses from Industry Professionals, SMEs, and Researchers working on development, operation, and maintenance of Water Management Systems in Smart Cities and secondary data collected through detailed review of existing literature containing Journal Papers, Conference Papers, and Whitepapers available on Water Management Solutions for Smart Cities, are used to derive the new findings and results presented in this research paper.
Findings/Result: Smart Water Management System not only efficiently handles water distribution across Smart Cities but also plays an active role in Water Recycling, Water Control and Monitoring, Estimation of the peak water requirements, and detection of water leakage if any. Smart Water Management System is an essential system in Smart Cities and is the backbone behind Smart Water Service of Smart Cities.
Originality/Value: The Information presented in this paper is original and genuine and completely based on own data analysis and findings. It is derived from a systematic literature review of existing research papers and whitepapers on Smart Water Management System and interactions carried out with industry professionals, SMEs, and Researchers working on Water Management Solutions.
