Youth restiveness has been on the increase in almost every community in Nigeria. This has contributed to massive loss of lives and properties, which constitute a major threat to security of the state and its corporate existence. The aim of this research was to examine the relationship between Social Entrepreneurship (SE) andYouth Restiveness (YR). The study followed the pragmatic philosophical paradigm combining both the inductive and the deductive methods of scientific inquiry in a cross-sectional survey. A systematic random sampling was adopted to collect datafrom308 youths that werebetween 18 and 46 years old, using a self-structured questionnaire.Mentorship was used as a dimension of SE while dysfunctional protest was used to measure YR. The descriptive (mean, percentages and standard deviation) and inferential statistics were used to analyse the data. The findings showed that there were more males (82.8%) than females (17.2%). Half of the youth were graduates and only 28.1% were not. A mean score below 5 points was obtained, indicating that the youths admitted to having a good relationship with the experienced persons they worked with. It was also observed that an increase in dysfunctional protest was not as a result of the adoption of Mentorship (r = 0.550). In conclusion, mentorship inversely affects youth restiveness thus efforts to curb youth restiveness should adopt mentorship model

Stimulation in the transitional area of the articulation function: Epigenetic basis of the acquisition of the permanent object scheme in Cameroonian infants

This article aims to evaluate the impact of the effects of stimulating articulation function through play on the acquisition of the permanent object schema by the infant.  The permanent object schema would be the basic unit of all subsequent cognitive constructions. It first interferes in the quantitative treatment of objects, the qualitative treatment; but also in hypotheses and deductions on real or thought objects. The data collection tools for this purpose are systematic observation with an ethological aim and the questionnaire through the tests evaluating them. The selected sample consists of 15 infants obtained by the non-probability sampling method and by the convenience or accidental sampling technique in a Cameroonian nursery. The data obtained were analyzed on the basis of: an observation grid, scales, the Welch t-test, the Mann-Whitney test and the Shapiro-Wilk normality test. These results reveal that the effects of the articulation function through play in the Cameroonian context are determining in the acquisition of the permanent object schema in infants in the Cameroonian context.  They make it possible to verify that there are factors in the environment of the Cameroonian nursery which would stimulate the articulation function during play and increase the capacity for acquisition of the schema of the permanent object. Moreover, if these elements of the context are really articulated, the infant can even acquire the permanence of the object rather than being necessary.  These results question the components of manipulations in the transitional area that is the nursery and imply the competence to use objects from their living environment during play practices. We know that the transitional area must meet the same conditions as the infant's initial living environment so that the infant does not construct his cognitive processes in a faulty manner

Perceived sub-optimal prevalence of big data analytics practice among accounting firms in Nigeria, having allegedly been attributed to lack of empirical validation of its capability in reducing audit report lag, the current study was undertaken to investigate the responsiveness of audit report lag to big data analytics, using listed manufacturing firms in the Nigeria as the study population. A mixed method design was implemented wherein primary data were sourced from the external auditors at firm-level to measure big data analytics, while secondary data were collected from the audited annual reports of the manufacturing firms. Big data analytics was decomposed into voice data analytics, image/video data analytics, and text data analytics. Following analyses, it was found that big data analytics invigorates auditors’ confidence in their application of professional skepticism during the audit engagement, leading to elongation of audit report lag. Consequently, it was concluded that deployment of big data analytics among audit firms in Nigeria enhances application of professional skepticism result, resulting more in audit report lag elongation than timeliness. It was therefore recommended that Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria as a regulator, should institutionalize big data analytics in auditing practice in Nigeria

A Detailed Review of Environmental Pollution and Its Ramifications from an Indian Context

The commercial sector of the most industrialized economy accounts for a significant percentage of the total environmental pollution (EP) that we experience today. Recent advancements in EP research have therefore provided environmental regulators and health scientists with a wide array of solution techniques. Unfortunately, the EP literature has lagged in providing an up-to-date integrated stream of research that could be useful for new entrants and experienced researchers. The paper's objective is to present a comprehensive review of EP research. The principal motivating factor is the deficiency of informative articles that reveal the length, breadth, and depth of scientific investigations in the area. The study extends to a general survey, models, empirical studies, and cases that have developed the frontier of knowledge in EP research. We aim to stimulate further practical and theoretical developments in the EP area. A second intent is to argue that research into EP provides excellent potential for increasing our knowledge regarding environmental management. The future holds promising results for researchers and practitioners engaged in EP research. Future studies are expected to save billions of dollars by developing novel, cost-effective methods

This study explores the implications of rice price inflation on consumers in Naga City, Philippines, focusing on demographic profiles, awareness levels, and effects on personal, financial, and social aspects. The research employed a descriptive-correlational design, using survey questionnaires to gather data from 100 rice consumers. The findings indicate that consumers are most aware of the environmental factors, such as natural disasters, affecting rice prices, while awareness of economic and political factors is moderate. Additionally, the study finds a disparity in awareness levels among different demographic groups, suggesting targeted educational interventions may be beneficial. The study highlights significant personal and financial stress among consumers due to rising rice prices, impacting their ability to maintain quality meals and manage budgets. Despite the awareness of inflation factors, there is no significant correlation between awareness levels and mitigation of inflation effects, suggesting that consumers struggle to adapt to rising costs. Furthermore, the research reveals a need for more community support systems to assist vulnerable populations. The collected data shows that female consumers are more aware of economic factors, emphasizing their role in household food security. The study concludes with strategic recommendations for coping with rice price inflation, including community education and support measures. This research provides valuable insights for policymakers and stakeholders to address the challenges of rice price inflation and enhance food security in Naga City

Nigeria's economy, which depends heavily on oil earnings, is vulnerable to market volatility brought on by changes in the price of oil globally, fluctuations in exchange rates, inflationary pressures, and imbalances in domestic fiscal policy. These shocks have a direct impact on the stability of the financial markets in addition to the actual economy. This study therefore investigated the effects of various macroeconomic shocks on the stability of Nigeria's financial markets. The study made used of Autoregressive Distributive Lag (ARDL) for analysis. The result shows that MS has a positive inconsequential influence on GDP in the long run, as shown by p-values (0.1272); INTR has a negative impact on GDP in the long run. It has p-values of 0.0153, indicating a substantial effect in the long run; EXCR has a negative, significant impact on GDP in the long term. Its p-values (0.0112) which is less than the 5% level of significance; INF has a detrimental but not impacted on GD in the long term. It has p-values of 0.3953, indicating that there is no statistical significance in the long runs, and that OILP has a positive and not impacted on GDP in the long run. It exhibits p-values of 0.6760, indicating no statistical significance in the long term. The result further showed that macroeconomic variables shock have no significant impact on economic growth in Nigeria. The study recommends among other things that monetary authority and regulators must ensure that the oil price the money supply and exchange rates remain steady overall. They should also endeavour to curb inflationary trends and keep interest rates constant in the economy so that the GDP can perform better and achieve the desired economic growth and national development
