Die neu entwickelten Submodelle wurden durch Implementierung in der Gefügesimulationssoftware MICRESS® den Industriepartnern sowie allen Nutzern dieser Software zugängig gemacht Datei-Upload durch TIBThe state of the art in the field of microstructure simulation of additive processes at the beginning of the project was that the microstructure development could only be simulated pointwise or exemplarily for constant cooling conditions, which are estimated from experiments or determined from process simulations. As a result, it was not possible to address the microstructure development over the entire thickness of the layers or even the mediation between the layers. In addition, no work on microstructure development during heat treatment and service based on the solidification structure was known. Therefore, one goal of this subproject was to develop a continuous simulation model for a multi-stage building process in the L-PBF process, which allows not only the inheritance of the structure from one layer to the next, but also the formation of new grains through fragmentation. This was mainly made possible by the development of a 1d cylinder model for the thermal solution, which allows the transition from melting to solidification to be addressed and the influence of latent heat to be properly considered. To describe the fragmentation during melting of the structure of the preceding layer, which leads to the formation of new grains, a semi-empirical model was derived by systematically varying the orientation relationships between the temperature gradients of the different layers and the dendrite orientation. The simulations were also carried out in 3D in order to better describe the fragmentation process and to be able to follow up the 3D microstructure development during heat treatment and operation based on the results. In this way, the goal of the overall project, a continuous simulation of the structure to the properties, could be achieved. By implementing them into the microstructure simulation software MICRESS®, the newly developed sub-models were made available to industrial partners and all users of this software

Datei-Upload durch TIBa) State of the art in science and technology No publications with the given specification for the transceiver have been made by others. b) Justification/objective of the study The aim of the sub-project of TU-Dresden as part of the MassiveData6G feasibility study was the analysis, design and characterization of a high-resolution and broadband RF digital-to-analog converter (DAC) with a very high sampling rate of up to 10 GS/s and a resolution that is sufficient for the targeted data rate of a transceiver with 100 Gbit/s. In addition, a concept had to be developed for the provision of the test data required for later measurements. c) Method Mixed-signal components and digital components were designed and implemented in test chips. d) Result The result is the successful feasibility study of a high-resolution DAC with a high sampling rate, compact layout and integrated calibration circuit. A deserializer was designed and measured which can provide input data at up to 10 GS/s under laboratory conditions. e) Conclusion/possible applications The suitability of the Globalfoundries 22FDX semiconductor technology used for a DAC, which is required in transceivers with up to 100 Gbit/s, was confirmed. The scientific connectivity is given by a possible in-depth investigation of the calibration concept, the new layout approach and the deserializer

Corrosion resistance of traditional and advanced fuel rod cladding materials for water-cooled reactors

    No full text
The available literature experimental data on corrosion resistance of traditional and advanced fuel rod cladding materials for water-cooled reactors are summarized. A review of zirconium alloys, which have proven themselves in operation for more than half a century, is presented. As noted, the research work is constantly being carried out to improve zirconium alloys by optimizing their composition, in particular, the amount of tin, niobium, iron and oxygen, as well as development of the new alloys. First of all, the direction of these works is stimulated by stringent nuclear energy requirements, including maximum safety, efficiency and environmental friendliness. At the same time, in the last decade, one of the main goals of researchers around the world is the development of nuclear fuel systems, which tolerate severe accidents. Another trigger for this was the accident in 2011 in Japan at the Fukushima-1 NPP
