Two things are prominent in the lives of both poets which create a wonderful similarity in their poetry, First place, unsuccessful love played a major part in forming the poetic tendencies of both these poets. The same unsuccessful love give their poetry a pathetic charm. In the second place, both the poets were affected by the wars in their particular ages. Meer was disturbed by the havoc in Delhi and Meera Ji was upheaved by the destruction caused by the world war. So, both these similarities form a resemblance in their poetic attitudes.
