    Majeed Amjad is one of the most important poets of modern Urdu poetry. Especially in the tradition of Urdu Nazm, he is considered as a trend setter poet. He was born in Jhang on 29 June 1914 and died in Sahiwal on 11 May 1974. Although he was from Jhung but he spent the last 30 years of his life in Sahiwal. During his stay, he was an integral part of Sahiwal's literary circle and he also played an important role in strengthening the literary tradition of Sahiwal. He had a wide circle of literary friends in Sahiwal, of which Nasir Shahzad was the closest. Nasir Shahzad has written his long relationship with Majeed Amjad in book form, whose name is Kon Das Geyo. (کون دیس گئیو). This is one of the most important books for understanding the poetry and personality of Majeed Amjad and this book is considered as the primary reference. In addition, this book is also an important reference for understanding Nasir Shahzad himself, especially his unique style of writing.     Khawaja Shamsuddin Azeemi, Chief editor of monthly Qalandar Shaoor (Urdu and English) and Rohani digest (Urdu) Karachi and international, is a Famous Pakistani Scholar of international level in the field of Seerat Nigari and spiritualism. He is the successor of his Divine Grace Qalandar Baba Auliya. He has unique literary style of writing. He has written 42 books and 80 pamphlets and articles. He has written remarkable books on Seerat-e-Rasool (S.A.W) titled as "Muhammad (P.B.U.H) The Prophet of God". In the first Volume, he has given detail of the Struggles of the Holy Prophet for spreading Islam. In the Second Volume, he has explained the miracles of the Holy Prophet in the light of Metaphysical Science. In third Volume, he has given a detailed account of the events of the lives of the Prophets of God. "Baraan-e-Rehmat" is another literary book on Seerat-e-Rasool (S.A.W).The Writer has distinguished in his style with realism, contemplation and profound study.     Majeed Amjad is a prominent figure of urdu poetry in modern era. His poetical ideology has a strong connection with the love of humanity.A great sorrow over the miseries of common man, Labourers and farmers can be seen in his poetry. He has condemned the cruel behavior of the upper class of society and has written many poems to express his anger over the said attitude. Unfortunately Majeed Amjad's poetry has not been praised from progressive point of view but infact most of the content of his poetry is much associated with progressive themes.     In this essay the first book written on Allama Iqbal ‘‘Iqbal by Ahmed Din’’ has been analysed. Allama Iqbal’s first poetic collection was still in process when one of his close friends Ahmad Din published a book ‘Iqbal’ on the thought and art of Iqbal by collecting Iqbal’s poetry from different newspapers, magazines and from the proceedings of Anjaman Himayat Islam. He did not seek Iqbal’s permission in doing so. He thought Iqbal would appreciate the publication, but Iqbal strongly disliked it. The reasons of Iqbal’s dislike for that book have been analysed in this essay for which Ahmad Din has to burn its all copies and how Iqbal permitted its publications again. The importance of this book in the study of Iqbaliat has also been discussed

    The article throws light on the different views expressed on the reasons and nature of laughter and humor and seek to see as to how the great Urdu humorist Ahmad Shah Patras Bukhari applies different ways of humor to make his write-ups catchy. The humor may be divided into Four catagories i.e. Pure Humor, Satire, Parody and irony. The article focuses on One write-up of Patras "Maibal aur main" taken from his book "Patras Kay Mazameen" in which the great humorist blended all these four types to make his piece of writing witty. A deeper look into the writings of Patras make us realize that it's not the case of the mentioned write-up as each and every piece of writing, included in his book presents the same grip on the natural humor produced by the legendry Urdu writer.
