صحتِ املا کے اصول‘‘: ایک تجزیاتی مطالعہ’’
Urdu orthography has many issues and some of them are very old. The problem arises when the same words are spelt differently by different writers and scholars. The author has taken up such issues with a reference to Rasheed Hasan Khan’s famous book ‘Urdu imla’ and some other older works. Additionally, the works by some scholars on Urdu orthography that have been published recently have also come under the discussion and the writer has suggested, with logical and academic reasoning, the adoption of certain spellings of certain Urdu words and dropping or phasing out of some of the disputed spellings. The article takes into account the works of many scholars and the approach is inclusive, not exclusive
(اردو اور ہندی کے اشتراکات اور اختلافات (ڈاکٹر گوپی چند نارنگ کی نظر میں
The Hindi-Urdu controversy gave rise to some questions regarding Urdu and Hindi languages. Some feel they are one and the same language. Some say it is one language written in two different scripts and some have written that they are two languages with two different scripts. The writers of this article have taken up the question against the backdrop of what Gopi Chand Narang has written on the issue. They feel that Narang’s point of view, contrary to his predecessors, is balanced, logical and based on the knowledge of linguistic science. Thus quoting from Narang, the article discusses the aspects of Urdu and Hindi that make these two languages similar yet different
دیوندر ستیارتھی کی اردو افسانہ نگاری: ادبی و سماجی مطالعہ
Devendra Satyarhti (1908-2003) was a writer of Urdu and Hindi. He was a folklorist as well and collected thousands of Urdu and Hindi folk songs by wandering around in India for decades. This gave him a deep sense and insight about how people, especially in the rural areas, lived and what their problems and sentiments were. This insight also reflected in his Urdu and Hindi short stories. The writer of this paper regrets that in spite of having written over 100 Urdu short stories, the critics and researchers have largely ignored Satyarhti and he has almost been forgotten. Taking into account Satyarthi’s Urdu short stories, the paper analyses the social milieu that Satyarthi has presented, successfully capturing the essence of life in our rural areas

The correspondence, penned some 70 to 80 years ago, shows some interesting aspects of the personalities of these writers and their publishers
فری میسن، جمال الدین افغانی اور تحریکِ اتحادِ اسلامی
Wilfrid Scawen Blunt was an English poet and writer but he played a vital role in shaping the politics and society in some Islamic countries such as Egypt and tried to mould the beliefs of some prominent Islamic leaders such as Sir Syed Ahmed Khan. In his efforts he was joined by Jamaluddin Afghani, a proponent of Pan-Islamism but whose personality and activities were as mysterious and unexplained as his views and policies. This paper proves that Afghani was a free mason working in the garb of a Pan-Islamist. Both Afghani and Blunt tried to mould the Islamic movements' direction in Egypt and elsewhere towards ethnic or local nationalism and spread of Arab nationalism instead of one and united Muslim world

Though much has been written on him in Urdu and most of his works on Urdu have been translated but a strange aspect of his writings has always been ignored: Garcin de Tassy was an enthusiastic supporter of Christianity and Christian Missionaries working for the spread of their religion in India. He shows a distinct bias in favour of those Missionaries and expressly supports those Indians who had converted to Christianity. But strangely, this attitude of his has been totally ignored by the researchers of Urdu and this article describes in detail the bias with relevant references
