سانحہ مسجدِ کان پور:مسلم اردو صحا فت کا رد عمل اور شعری منظر نامہ
The battle of Balkan had not even come to a logical end that the painful event of Kanpur mosque took place. The Muslims of India were busy consoling their Arab amp; Turk brothers that this dreadful event dragged all of the attention. A mosque famously known as Machli Bazaar Mosque was situated on Meston Road, Kanpur. In order to extend the road, the British government demolished a portion of the aforesaid mosque while keeping the temple on its way undisturbed. The Muslims violently protested against the demolition and this news was brought to the headlines of all leading newspapers. "Zameendaar" amp; "Al-Hilal" strongly condemned the demolition.
Few Non-Muslim authorities also regretted this demolition. In reaction to this harsh event, Indian Muslims moved a countrywide movement against the British government. Many prominent men of letters including Syed Suleiman Nadwi, Hasan Nizami, Shibli Nomani and Maulana Zafar Ali Khan recorded their protest through poetry and prose. Finally, this strong and violent public reaction brought the British government on their knees and the decision was taken back. All prisoners were released and criminal cases were withdrawn. The demolished portion of the Kanpur mosque was rebuilt by the government. The event of Kanpur mosque provoked the first protesting behaviour against the British Colonialism. This actually led the nation to the road of independence afterwards. Thus this event is of great importance in the history of Indian Sub-continent

فحاشی اور عریانی کے تصورات، اردو ادب کے تناظر میں
Erotica and Obsentity are two separate terms which are mistakenly used for each other. The sexual desire, unusual boldness, unreluctant expression and uncovered expressions in writing are considered as Obsentity (Nakedness) while if from the begining to the end an erotic motviation towards lust and sexual desire is reflected then it is termed as erotica writing. The perceptions towards erotica writings and nakedness kept on changing in each culture in accordance with the time. Probably no literature in the world is free from it. In our Urdu prose and poetry the same is also reflected. In the current article, a brief review and cticism has been made in the same perspective.

داستان: عروج و زوال کا تہذیبی تناظر
A number of Urdu genres have declined in the subcontinent but the decline of every genre was not a natural process. Regardless of other Urdu genres, the decline of “Dastan” was influenced more by external elements rather than internal causes. These external factors include the political decline of Muslims, fascination of their writers about the West, and their intimidated view of their values, literature, and even religion through the eyes of the West. The most important role in the decline of Urdu Dastan was played by this feeling of inferiority. If the writer of a language becomes intimidated about any genre of indigenous literature, it leads to the closure of the door of creativity and invention of that genre in every possible method. However, the result of this lack of awareness was that the genre of storytelling has declined in the subcontinent. As a result of deprivation, we have lost the vocabulary, the world of idea and inspiration, and the treasure of storytelling that is our cultural, educational and creative need at the moment.
