    Molana Ahmad Riza Khan was a prolific scholar of Arabic and Persian as well as an Urdu scholar. He used Urdu prose to spread the message of Muslims and to raise awareness of religious issues. To meet the religious requirements of his time, he wrote Urdu prose and preserved literary words. His style of consultation is to adopt the most appropriate approach for the delivery of his goals. His father and he himself did not follow either of the Delhi or Lucknow school of thought, but instead of adopting a new style and gaining a unique position in comparison to other Urdu prose writers of his retro, he gained a distinguished position.     Meerza Adeeb is prominent progressive drama writer of twentieth century, who tried to present the real consciousness of that time. As the result, he presented the helplessness of the poor in the ugly clutches of capitalism.. He unfolded the complexed and delicate minds of Indian people in his dramas who were in an extreme stress and were considering it as a total destruction and exploitation. So that the characters of his dramas show their extreme hatred towards the slavery and try to raise their voice against British rule. This article is a comprehensive study of Meerza Adeeb's drama writing in the perspective of colonization, zeitgeist of the time and progressive writing.

    Travelogue is a prosaic genre of literature. Literature encompasses the expression of human emotions, sentiments and thoughts. When a tourist pens all this, it becomes a travelogue. Before 1909 many travelogues were written in South Asia but none of those contains insight about cities of Pakistan except the travelogue (Sayyahat-e-Hind) by Maulana Hafiz Abdul Rehman Amratsari. This travelogue provides a detailed historic view of almost all cities of India. Also, it provides details about cities of Punjab amp; Sindh namely Lahore, Pak Pattan, Multan, Bahawalpur, Uch, Sukkur, Bhakkar, Rorhi, Kheirpur, Keranchi (Karachi), Hyderabad and Quetta via Sehwan Sharif. This travelogue provides details about twenty four big cities of Pakistan.The genre of travelogue has flourished in the 21st  century but this travelogue due to its historical accounts and interesting facts deserves a special place among other contemporary travelogues. It is the only travelogue written before 1909 which provides detailed view of all cities of Pakistan. Therefore it must be considered as the very first travelogue of Pakistan.

    Dictionary compilation is of great importance in all times but before the 19th century dictionary writing was not a common trend in the subcontinent. Dictionary writing trend began to flourish among the natives of subcontinent in 19th century and its credit goes to orientalists. Before 19th century, the dictionaries written in India were focused on fulfilling educational motives or comprehension of other languages only. In 19th century, few remarkable Urdu dictionaries were compiled in India. Urdu's first comprehensive dictionary Farhang-e-Asifiya was also compiled in the same era. This research paper highlights the introduction alongwith year of publication of Urdu amp; Persian dictionaries compiled and edited by natives of subcontinent in 19th century.

    Urdu Nazam traditionally has a powerful impact on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's literature but it seems more powerful in the modern era. A number of well known poets of this province have composed nazams of the same quality and grandeure like any native speaker Urdu poet of sub-continent. Modern poets of KPK are certainly aware of the significance of nazam they also know the modern trends of it. In this article modern Urdu nazam of KPK has been discussed and especially Azad nazam (free verse) has also been taken into account. The Examples of a few popular poets are also given here.

    Maulvi Abdul Haq opened a new door of editing in Urdu language and gave life to various primitive and classical Urdu texts. As well he assembled a team of great scholars of the time to accomplish these seemingly unattainable tasks. Perceiving this Rasheed Hassan Khan identify him as “Gilchrist of the age”. Intikhab e Kalam e Meer was one of his edited work which illuminate Meer himself and his poetry. In that era research, editing and annotation principles were improving from scratch wherefore these earliest editing have some flaws.     Diction is an important dimension of literary linguistics in which language of a literary work is analysed. Mumtaz Mufti's literary works acquire great importance.Samay Ka Bandhan is his 7th collection of short stories published in 1987. In these short stories, those altered values of east are highlighted especially which are influenced by the west and which have affected the east in a bad manner. As Mufti has presented this cultural chaos in a new writing style, he has also experienced new form of diction. In these short stories, his characters can be heard speaking words of Hindi, English and other local languages. For effective communication Mufti has often crafted new words and idioms and has also given new meanings to old words. In this research paper diction used in "Samay Ka Badhan" has been studied in the same perspective.

    It is a great popular proverb that ''Travelling is a means to victory''. Travelogue Writing is not merely a such form in which figures about any city, country or public are narrated. But through travelogue writings human life, psychological and spiritual aspects of different societies can also be studied.In the under discussion article, Travelogue Writing's of patriarchs of Sindh and people belong to Monasteries are discussed (Exclude Naqshbandi Monasteries). At one place these travelogue writings are about sacred places and at the same time about those cities and countries where Muslims had exaltation. Travelogue Writing of Monasterial Literature of Sindh with information tells us about human behaviors, social aspects, spiritual conditions and intellectual rising of that particular society. These travelling writings importance become more from this point of view that when a trained person of monastery travels from place to place, his journey is different from the journey of a common man. He studies different aspects of other societies from his monastic point of view. His necessaries for journey are also different from the common traveler. When he writes he also narrates the etiquettes of visiting sacred places. These travelogue writings are of such standard that they should be mentioned in the history of Urdu literature.

    Language is used to educate others, to invite them to do certain stuff, to convey emotions, moods, thoughts, data, experiences, etc. Language certainly has a very significant personal objective because it is primarily used for exchange of thoughts. The most important function of language to convey the message properly. For this purpose, speaker select words to transform his or her ideas perfectly. Words carry meanings. This study examines the gap between English and Urdu languages. Theory of Equivalence has been used to analyse the data. Forty news stories of Radio Pakistan have been chosen to gauge the meaning gap between two languages. The findings of study show that there is a huge gap between two languages. English news has two words to express the situation where as Urdu translator uses one word in the same context
