No full textRauf Parekh is an eminent Urdu linguist, lexicographer, researcher and columnist of Pakistan. This article deals with two vital dimensions of Mr. Parekh’s work in the discipline of Urdu linguistics as being a renowned linguist and lexicographer in twenty first century's context. His major linguistic contributions reflect the history, principles, methods and debates with special reference to Urdu lexicography. He is an acclaimed pioneer in the field of Urdu slang dictionary as he developed First Urdu Slang Dictionary in 2006. A clear representation of modern scientific, linguistic as well as lexicographic approach can be seen in his writings. Urdu Lughat (Tareekhi Usool Par) Volume 19, 20 and 21 has been issued under his editorship from Urdu Lughat Board, Karachi. Ilm-i-lughat, Usool-i-lughat aur lughaat, Lughvi Mubahis, Lisaniyati Mubahis and Lisaniyat Kay Bunyadi Mubahis are some of his famous books on current debates in linguistics and lexicography. I call him a true successor of Dr. Abul Lais Siddiqui, a great linguist and lexicographer of the twentieth century.

Descriptive / explained boundaries are decided on the basis of civilization between East and West and this division was created when Europeans broke their relation / link from the concept of reality in the reign of Renaissance. At the same time, they did not hesitate to violate and destroy the history, culture, independence and greatness of East to create/widen their States and impose their powers. As a result of this, people of East especially of Indian sub-continent became a victim of complex. In this article, different opinions will be understood about East as regain of West in the light of sense of superiority, hatred or humiliation and balance.

No full textLetter writing is an old tradition in Urdu language. Ahmad Nadeem Qasmi’s writing style is conversational which reveals many secret aspects of his life. This tradition is still applicable today. These letters not only reflects various aspects of his personality, but also deep relationships to renowned literary persons of his time. Many literary persons, poets, fiction writers and critics paid rich tribute to his services for the revival of Urdu literature. Qasmi was highly decent fellow to whom people like to share their sufferings and personal affairs. Qasmi’s letters are also important from historical point of view. He also wrote letters to his wife and son, which highlights beautiful colours of his personal life. We also find literary imformation from his letters. No dout Qasmi’s letters to his predcecessors also gain high value of Urdu literature. Qasmi wrote letters to Manto (famous Urdu fiction writer), Mansoora Ahmad, Fatih Mohammad Malik and different famous literary persons. He was also the editor of “Fanoon” a famous Urdu magazine of his time. In this purpose he wrote letters for new poets and fiction writers. In this article, we will shed light on Qasmi’s personality reflected in his letters.

No full text125th birth anniversary of Allama Muhammad Iqbal, the government of Pakistan officially declared 2002 as the "Year of Iqbal". Apart from organizing various literary activities on this joyous occasion, renowned literary magazines and journals and educational institutions published special issues of their literary journals where not only renowned Scholars of Iqbaliyat but Iqbal's Shaheens also enthusiastically paid homage to their beloved Poet and Philosopher. Through this celebration, Iqbal was profoundly remembered at the beginning of the 21st century. Iqbal was not only a poet of the twentieth century, but his admirers proved that Iqbal was a poet of all three eras i.e. past, present and future. Iqbal was undoubtedly aware of this fact and he called himself a poet of the future. Iqbal numbers of literary journals of various colleges and universities were published this occasion. The following article will provide a brief overview of the Iqbal issues of some of these important literary journals. Among them, the names of Almas, Khayaban, Ilm ki Roshni and Sir Syedain are noteworthy.

The purpose of these myths is so strong that stories sometimes seem like long dialogues instead of stories. . History will always remember those who invention the script writing. It was founded with the help of human voices and as a pictorial script. Then the pictures were given the form of lines and symbols and the script came into being through special symbols. Most of the world's ancient languages are still in use today in the form of pictorial script and images. Urdu script is also a collection of scripts of other languages of the world which came into existence in the style of sounds, pictures, lines and later it developed in the form of symbols. The study of the tradition of Urdu Rasm-ul-Khat is an interesting subject.
