    The formation of literary characters in fiction reflects our social attitudes. Bano Qudsia's novel Raja Gidh has customization in that the author has presented most of the masculine characters. Qayyum is the narrator of the story. However, the author has described the character of Aftab as an ideal masculine character. The ideal masculine qualities in male characters must include bravery, excellent dialogue delivery, physical movements, control of emotions, and the presence of judgment. Apart from Aftab's character, the main characters of the novel lack these features. Later on Aftab, s character also becomes contradictory in this regard. This article examines all the main characters of the novel in the context of ideal masculinity and seeks to determine how the lack of these characteristics shakes the personality of these characters.

    In the beginning of the nineteenth century, it is pertinent to mention that many political and social movements started in India. These movements affected the entire system of entire India. The effects of these movements must have been felt in the state of Jammu and Kashmir . The effects of the political movements within India caused to be established in Kashmir as a result of which political and social awareness became the shape of a movement. People outside Kashmir played a significant role in strengthening the spirit of this initiative. Among them, people like M. Zafar Ali Khan, M. Abdul Majeed Salik Muhammad Deen Fawk, Maulana Ghulam Rasool Mehr, Syed Attaullah Shah Bukhari Hafeez Jalandhri and Shurash Kashmiri did not speak a single word, but the most powerful voice among them was Allama Muhammad Iqbal. It is significantly added that the poets of Kashmir accepted the influence of Iqbal's thought. Apart from Pirzada Ghulam Ahmad Mehjoor Ghulam Rasool Nazqi Abdul Ahad Azad Shaha Zor Kashmiri Shourida Kashmiri, there are many poets including Hamidi Kashmiri Khalifa Abdul Hakeem, Khushi Muhammad Nazer, Hakeem Manzoor Mirza Ghulam Hasan Baig, Ghulam Ahmad Faisal Kashmiri who were influenced by Iqbal's thought and inspired in his poetry.

He is a keen observer of society and notices that society’s values are changing day by day, and ultimately it may take place in the form of destruction in society. Ethical and moral values are the guidelines from that a person determines his right path to live in peace and harmony. He expresses his fear in the form of short stories that a man in the modern age has forgotten common manners, proper etiquette and respect for each other.     Urdu literary journals do not have a strong tradition of condolence writings, but some journals have published writings on important literary figures who died in the contemporary era. In the early days of literary journals, condolence writings were occasionally published, but in later times this became the focus of attention. ‘Ma'arif’ and ‘Burhan’ paid constant attention to this. ‘Naat Rang’ carried on this tradition and more than one hundred condolence writings were published in it. ,These articles are related to the poets and writers who have had some work on Naat. Talpurs and Kalhora dynasty gave him due respects and full opportunities to preach amp; grow the Sufi-ism in Sindh. Among Sufis Sachal Sarmast was the shining star of Sufi-ism amp; poetry in Sindh. He played a vital role in developing the Ghazal in Sindh by comparing the Deccan amp; Delhi dynasties of Urdu poetry. His political thoughts were not against the rulers of Sindh.

    Ameer Ahmad Ameer Meenai was a poet of Urdu and Persian.He is also known as a lexicographer, sufi, scholar, editor, prose writer, translator.He wrote poetry in almost every genre including ghazal, na’at, qasida,masnavi, tarkib band and tarji band. In a tarji band,a specific line (tape-line)is repeated at the end of each stanza.This Tarji band consists of 20 stanza and wach stanza has 6 line after which,a couplet is repeated.This sestina has been written in the honour of His excellency Nawab Rampur Culb Ali Khan. Though unpublished, this beautiful poetic expression is securely possessed by Israel Meenai.In these verses the beauteous scene of vestment of Nawab Rampur Culb Ali Khan has been portrayed.The elegant decor and garniture also have been picturized eloquently. Furthermore, this manuscript written in simple and coherent style is a memorial of era of Ram Pur.

    An epistle is a cardinal source of research. Not only it reveals the personality, disposition, likes and dislikes, customs, habits and attitudes of the addresser and addressee but also throws light on their times and backdrop. This is the reason that the letters of literati are considered a research heritage and the students, scholars and researcher are benefitted from them in their scholarly pursuits. Keeping this aspect in view, in this article, a few unpublished letters of prominent poet and short story writer Ahmad Nadeem Qasmi are being presented. These letters were addressed to famous writer and poet Amin Rahat Chughtai. Many literary and scholarly topics are discussed in these letters and we come to know about the personal and literary relationship of two distinguished writers. The writer has included brief biographical sketch of Amin Rahat Chughtai and added footnotes for a better understanding of the letters
