    Certain revolutionary movements which influenced art and literature markedly attest the cradle of 20th century. Surrealism is one of such movements that acted on fiction particularly. The unreasonable negative and extremist approach of Dadaism triggered a reaction which resulted into surrealism whose foundation was laid on freudian's theory of unconscious; afterwards, Ande Breton structured its constitution properly. Surrealists considered that the purest form of realism lies in unconscious which should be approached prior to conscious affect it. This article goes over the influences of surrealism on Urdu novel.

    Tamsaal Kaari is a term taken from the Western literature and is a literal translation of Imagery. It means painting through words. In Urdu classical poetry, be it a poem, An elegy or a narrative poem, in the use of imagery has been a part of tradition. Nasir Kazmi makes a wonderful use of imagery in his poetry. His imagery offers newness and a wonderful picture gallery. His imagery not only delivers messages but it ads beauty and versatility also. It's his imagery that makes his poetry great. He can duly be termed as one of the greatest experts in the art of imagery.

    Tazkra )Autobiographical Accounts, Memoir) is such a literary form which presents the autobiography of the poets as well as their poetry. It is the progressive form of Diary. The art of Tazkra writing in Urdu was borrowed from Persian. Basically the art of Tazkra writing was started in the reign of Mir Taqi Mir and Khawaja Mir Dard. To analyse the educational, literary, ethical and civilized atmosphere of any society in a better way, it is necessary to assess the conditions and thought patterns of half of its population (females). Historians and Tazkra writers have written the autobiography and poetry of the male poets diligently but the female poetesses are almsot neglected or given partially importance. Some Tazkra writers have given special coverage to these poetesses. Muhammad Abdul Hayee is such a writer who wrote "Shamim-e-Sukhan" in which he assessed some poetesses

    The literary craftsmanship is the role of form and style. New techniques are used at both subject and form level to achieve the goal. As Novel is most popular genre of the world literature, Novelist tried to invent modern technique of narration. Syed Muhammad Ashraf in his new novel ''AKHARI SAWARIYAN" used the same methods to construct his narration. He used magic realism, hallucinatory realism, drama technique and other poetic tools in this novel. This research article focuses on the question that what the new techniques are used in "AKHARI SAWARIYAN''. By using the content analyzing method I found that modern narrative, drama and poetry tact’s are used in ''AKHARI SAWARIYAN''. Very unnoticed events and stories are combined in a mural. These miniatures are used in a logic way to convey the subject of novel and a little sensuousness as well

    Generalizations in scholarly works may prove helpful in understanding different literary trends of an era but not without losing many nuances. In Urdu, 19th Century is interpreted in binary oppositional manner with Sir Syed a pivotal point and other writers were considered either his extension or his rivals. The classic example of this generalization is Awadh Punch, a literary Journal which had a different attitude towards colonialism than Sir Syed's. The oversimplifications could only let the scholars to interpret its different authors in anti-Sir Syed perspective.     Modern Urdu Poem origins of which flourished in the influence of Anjuman-e-Punjab, a colonial institution, kept absorbing every ebb and flow of the Colonial period for more or less one century. In this article an effort has been made to study the creative impulse of the most potent voice of modern Urdu poem Allama Muhammad Iqbal in a colonial context. The article under view is a modest endeavour to pin point the features of colonial conflict in Iqbal's poetry. The article takes into account the entire body of his Urdu poetic works from the first collection (Bang-e-Dra) published in 1924 to the last (Armughan-e-Hijaz),published in 1938
