The Embroidery of Emotions- Phulkari Bagh’s of Punjab
This study intended to examine the traditional folk art of Punjabi Phulkari bagh along with its revival in Multan. The Punjab Province has always been distinguished for its culture and heritage. Multan is considered the oldest city of South Asia. The area from Delhi to Afghanistan was of Punjab province of Indian Sub-continent. The art of traditional Phulkari was originally practiced solely by the women of Punjab. Phulkari has always played an important role in the lives of Punjabi girls. The technique of Phulkari passed from generation to generation, especially girls used to embroider their imaginary world, dreams, and aspirations onto a canvas of khaddar. Phulkari has been a precious gift meant for special family occasions, to welcome a newborn into the family or to gift the daughter during her nuptial ceremony. The designs and motifs are innumerable. Born in the Decani age, Urdu Poem went through many ups and downs in the literary journey. The period from 1857õ1947 was particularly long and significant for Urdu poetry and modern Poem. After 1857 when there was disappointment and pessimism in the air, personality of Sir Syed turned out to be a ray of hope and freshness in the suppressed scenario. When Sir Syed led the nation in practical and purposeful direction, his poet friends not only expressed harsh realities in Modern poem but also gave birth to new type of poetry. Muhammad Hussain Azad, Altaf Hussain Hali, Ismail Meerthi and Shibli Nomani were among the significant poets of this age. Azad and Hali used AnjmanõeõPunjab platform to introduce Modern poem. After that Akbar Alla Abadi took Modern poem to new heights. In addition, development movement, romanticism, and other literary movements paved the way for growth of modern Urdu poem. Then Iqbal appeared as a bright star on the scene who inculcated a renewed spirit in modern Urdu Poem. Hence, we can say that new metaphors, similes, words all offered novel heights to poetry which we can see in Iqbalþs poetry that played a significant role in creation of Pakistan

Rashid ahmad siddiqui was born in Junpur but he completed most of his education from Aligarh. His opinion about Aligarh is of high esteem and this is what he always talks about Aligarh in his work. One reason of his attachment to Aligarh was due to the fact that although he was not born there but got grown along with educational learning. The interpretational method of deconstruction is introduced in 20th century by Jacques Derrida. It is against the authority of meaning. However, we see instances of deconstruction in Ghalib's poetry, a poet of 19th century. Ghalib has used deconstruction in different ways in his poetry consciously. He reshaped common ideas in uncommon way. He deconstructed religious, social and civilizational meta-narratives and initialized new forms of conceiving. Generally our historian of language and literature has neglected those poets who were unpopular or less credible in power corridors or their mock language was never reconstructed to determine the metaphoric resistance on their part. Likewise our critics neglected less talked sources in contemporary history which adopted a tone different to the 'official' tone. The construction of neo-poetic aesthetic of Urdu language could have not been possible without Marsiyah -a form of Urdu poetry - of Meer Anis. Although, there are bundle of researches, commentaries and critiques of the poet yet there was a major gap of quantitative modelling of the poetry which the present article attempted to build. In the article, we have selected a Marsiyah of and quantitative data on Meer Anis from "Tajzia yadgar-e-Anis", compiled and edited by Dr. Sayed Taghi Abedi. We used Multiple Correspondence Analysis (MCA) to build a model of the Marsiyah and One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) in relation with Post-hoc Duncan test to understand the pattern of differential use of different languages in the Marsiyah

In order to strengthen their faltering economies, European Nations came out of their frontiers and occupied the vast part of the world to set up their colonies. The impact of colonialism on native culture, language, literature, history, the roll of power narrative and the natural factors acted in favor of colonial powers form the substance of post-colonialism. There were a number of theories on post-colonialism in the west towards the end of 20th century. However, the subject was introduced in Urdu literature only in 21st century. Main content of post-colonialism in Urdu literature comprises indigenous literary and resistance movements and narrative of renaissance in the 19th and 20th century. Paper concludes that Post-colonialism liberated the Urdu critique from the shackles of taken for granted myths and introduced various new strands in the Urdu literature

Whenever the connection between culture and religion is thrashed out, the most important question arises is that whether religion gives the codes of behavior and designs culture or it is just an element of culture like language, food, sources of production, living style , art and ceremonial traditions. Among so many answers of this query, very argumentative are of Allama Iqbal and Faiz Ahmad Faiz , two legendary Urdu poets of subcontinent. In contemporary condition of our society, the relationship between culture and religion has become more significant. In this article, not only an effort to understand this relationship, according to Iqbal and Faiz, has been made but also the significance and consequences of this relationship in present-day social arrangement been analyzed
