Dr Wazir Agha (1922-2009) is a well-known critic, poet and light essayist. There are over fifty books on these genres, to his credit. He edited a legendary literary magazine, Awraq, for many decades. In this article, the author has remembered him, through his personal reflections. Unpublished letters of Dr Wazir Agha, addressed to the author, have been produced in this article. They not only express his sentiments towards his addressee but also, reflect his literary ideas regarding modern peotry. Some questions raised by the author are also answered by the literary genius. Issues requiring explanations have been expounded on, in the footnotes

Altaf Fatima is one of the renowned Urdu writers who achieved climax of thesuccess after her novel " Dastak Na Do" goes virally famous in 1966. She stepped in tothe literary field of Urdu through her fascinating short story writings.Despite herseveral valuable and quality additions to the genre of Urdu novels and short stories; theurdu related community could not give her due weight-age which she deserved owningto her write-ups. Subsequently, she also translated some of the master pieces of theWorld Literature in the Urdu language but most of the people are unaware of her suchliterary contributions. In Subcontinent a number of Hindu and Sikh authors wrote sirah of the HolyProphet (PBUH). Among these Sardar Gordat Sing Dara has compiled a biography ofProphet Muhammad (PBUH) entitled "Muhammad ki Sarkaar". The same book wasreprinted bearing another title "Rasool-e-Arabi". This book has unique attributes andwonderful features. One of these is its literary style. The writer has quoted lot of Urdu,Persian and Arabic couplets while throwing light on the incidents of Sirah. He has alsoquoted lot of Urdu and Hindi idioms, phrases and proverbs to elucidate relevantsituations. This idiomatic and poetic aspect of the Dara's sirah writng creates aneffective and everlasting impression and satisfies the literary taste of a reader. First step for the editing of classic dramas in Pakistan was taken by ImtyazAli Taj. and Majlis-e-Traqi-e-Adab published this work. Imtyaz Ali Taj prepared asketch of editing one hudred dramas, fifty of these were edited by Imtyaz Ali Taj,Waqar Azeem and Ishrat Rehmani respectively, whereas Mirza Adeeb edited eightdramas of Rafi Peer(which are not incleuded in Imtyaz Ali Taj's sketch). Editing ofdramas written after the partition (In Pakistan) is inevitable alongwith the editing ofremaining dramas included in Imtyaz Ali Taj's sketch. Fortunately,dramas of fewrenowned drama writers are safe with Alhamra Arts Council, whereas manuscriptshave been wasted due to the criminal negligence of Punjab Arts Counsil. It is need ofthe hour that people having relevance to this art should pay attention of drama editing

In Urdu literature Naa't had been a keen source of true relation and love with the Holy Prophet (S.A.W). Many great poets had written and recited Naa't both in Arabic and Persian in the love of the Holy Prophet. One of these most popular and legendary contemporary bets is Riaz Hussain Chaudhry. Almost 13 of his Naa't collections had been published yet. Here, in this article an analysis has been done of different aspects of his art and skill of Naa't writing. Besides, what status contemporary poets award him is also analysized in this article

Manto has not only brought the art of fiction writing to its zenith with the help of his intellect and creative abilities but has also expressed his critical insight in his criticism. As a critic of life, he not only creates super humans but also seems to explain his typical point of view about man, life, society and different aspects of art with full faith while expressing his critical sense in his non-fiction writings. From this aspect his critical writings are no less important than his fiction writings. Although Manto's prime importance is of a fiction writer, but by the way his critical intellect has evolved in his criticism that has bestowed him the status of a critic. Furthermore, his style is adorned with creative criticism that attracts us towards it. His critical writings also provide reasons if he is a fiction writer from a specific stand point then why is it so? What does he think about man, society, life, literature and art? Henceforth why his point of view is different from others? Along with these several types of questions Manto's critical intellect gets prominent in art in humans which indirectly determines ways where their point of views find open and direct expression in his critical thinking.
