دراسة الأصوات العربية في شبه القارة
The linguists have defined four elementary processes for study and analysis of a language. The first one is study of phonetics of a language. Arabic language has special significance for the Muslims of the Sub-continent for being the language of their faith, culture, history etc. It is why the scholars of the Sub-continental have been paying special attention to Arabic language. This article is a study of work on Arabic phonetics made in modern times by the indigenous scholars. The article not only presents a study covering views of scholars on Arabic phonetics but also opens new avenues of research in this field
تحسین شعر اقبال در حیاتِ اقبال
Allama Muhammad Iqbal was a renowned literary personality of the Subcontinent. He served his nation through his matchless poetry. He also participated in political activities. He was greatly revered by almost circles of society. He was lucky enough to be recognized for his poetic stint at his early age. He won the hearts of intellectuals, politicians, poets and philosophers of Subcontinent by his meaningful work. He was so popular in the public as Iqbal'Day was celebrated in his life as a token of honour of his services to the nation. The article is an introductory study of tribute to Iqbal in his life.

This article aims at psychological study of Josh Malihabadi's autobiography Yadon ki Barat (procession of memories), a book that has aroused a lot of controversies among literary critics of Urdu since its publication in 1970. It has been asserted that though autobiography is an art of narrating old and cherished memories of oneself, a new image of self is constructed by overlapping of two subjectivities i.e., a narrator subject and a narrated subject. Opposing features of Josh's personality are interpreted in Lacanian psychoanalytic perspective affirming that on the surface, Josh denies religious beliefs but at the deeper level of psyche he avows his Muslim cultural and national identity.

Syed Abid Ali Abid and Jabir Ali Syed are two famous Iqbal scholars. They both have largely contributed to Iqbal Studies. This article focuses the similarities found in their works on Iqbal Studies. Besides their peculiarity and difference, their common topics and common source books in English, Arabic, Persian and Urdu have also been studied. Since Abid Ali Abid was the teacher of Jabir Ali Syed, whatever Jabir Ali Syed had said in recognition of his teacher's intellectual status in his autobiography or in his interview, has also been studied

Partition of 1947 has actually proved to be a trauma from which the Sub-continent has never fully recovered. It was accompanied by the largest mass migration of more than ten millions besides one million people died in fighting particularly in the Western region of the Punjab which at the eve of partition was gone through the agony of dividing into two parts. Literary persons are still writing on the trauma caused by the partition. This article is the study of the Punjabi novels' dealing of the issue

Allama Shibli Naumani was an eminent critic and biography writer of Subcontinent. He was also known as religious scholar. In 1945 Dr. Waheed Qureshi wrote a book named "Shibli ki Hayat-e-Muashqa", in which he applied the psycho analysis theory of Freud to the personality of Allama Shibli. Dr. Qureshi developed a thesis that as a common man, Shibli has all the feelings of mankind. He presented proofs from the poetry and letters of Allam Shibli written to Atia Faizi. This book raised a controversy among the literary circles of Urdu. This article analyses the research value of this book.

Nima Yushij, the father of modern Persian poetry, is the most important poet of twentieth century in Iran. He was a trend setter poet who, with his powerful thought and art, entirely changed the canvas of Persian poetry both in form and content. Most of the modern Persian poets are highly and deeply impressed by Nima's revolutionary themes and skills. This paper provides a brief life sketch of Nima Yushij besides an introduction to his art and thought.

Dr. Muhammad Aslam Rana was a teacher of Punjabi language. He served as the chairman of the Department of Punjabi, University Oriental College, Lahore. He was a great scholar and well read personality. Though he was mainly known for his research work and editing of both Punjabi and Urdu books, he also contributed to different Urdu and Punjabi papers. His contributions are highly esteemed. Besides he also had literary flare and composed verse in Punjabi and Urdu. His Urdu anthology namely DARD KI CCHAOWN MAYRA GAOWN was warmly welcomed by the literary circles of Pakistan. This article is an effort to present an introductory study of the said anthology.
