محمد إدریس الکاندھلوی شاعراً عربیاً
Muhammad Idrees Kandhalvi is widely known for his services in the field of Islamic sciences. He has written many books on the different topics of the Islamic Sciences. He enjoyed command over Arabic language and was well versed in literary beauties of Arabic language. He had also composed verse in Arabic but his poetic flare is least known in the literary circles. This article presents an introductory study of his poetic rendition in Arabic. Besides excerpts and incorporations from Pre-Islamic and Islamic period's verse, his is mainly a pedagogic poetry. He freely employed excerpts from the Holy Qura'n and Hadith. The article covers various aspect of his poetry especially elegy, eulogy, pedagogy and felicitation etc.

Majeed Amjad has recently attracted the attention of verse lovers and critics alike. Majeed is admired for his unique style, diction and dealing of the issues through his poetry. Shab e Rafta is his first book on poetry. He has dealt a variety of issues in this book. He developed special feelings for his surrounding world including that of animals', birds' and trees'. Tree has a special reference in his verse which also emerges as a symbol. Besides other issues, he has also written on the philosophy of time and mortality. This article specially focuses this aspect of Majeed's in the light of his book Shab e Rafta

Mirza Faseehi was a famous poet of Khorasan in the eleventh century A.H. he was born in Bukhara. Faseehi was one of the prominent poets of Qasida and Ghazl of his time. He received the title of the Poet Laureate by the court of King Abbas. Besides poetry he had interest in other fields of fine arts. He showed special inclination to calligraphy and earned a good name by excelling in it. But his main claim to fame remained poetry. His divan consists of more than four thousand verses. He had mathnavis to his credit as well. His poetry is sublime and simple. This article covers life and work of Mirza Faseehi in a befitting way

Derivation is the most important topic of Morphology of Linguistics of Arabic language. Owing to derivation, a language copes with the changing demands of the time as a living language and hence becomes a source of its soundness and comprehensiveness. And derivational changes in Arabic stand very high in the salient features of Arabic language. Its why, this topic has attracted the attention of linguists in all times. Scholars from the sub continent have also shown inclination towards this discussion. Some of them followed suit but other also presented philosophical ideas on the topic. This article is an effort to introduce the contributions of the sub continentals in the field of derivation and analyses them too. Three scholars namely Siddiq Hasan Khan Qinnoji, Karamt Husain Kantori and Syed Suleman Ashraf Bihari’s works have been selected and focused in this regard

The history of relations between Iran and the Sub-continent dates back to 300 BC. For centuries, Persian enjoyed the status of language of the court. The locals showed a special interest to master this language. They not only wrote in Persian but also spoke it smoothly. The poets of the Sub-continent held Persian poets in great esteem considering them as poetic inspiration for them. Firdousi being one of the widely popular poets of Persian has been a special focus of the literati in and out of Iran. Our national poet Allama Muhammad Iqbal is among the admirers of Firdousi's poetic excellence. He also paid him tribute in his poetry. There are many similarities in the work of the both. Jalal Aseer was a renowned poet of Iran of the eleventh century. He lived in the province of Isfahan. His wife Malik un Nisa Begum was the daughter of King Abbas, the first. He was the pupil of Fasihi Hirvi. He was widely respected by the poet fraternity of his time. Mostly he wrote glorifying verses on the House of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). He wrote a diwan of which Mehtab Roy wrote a commentary with the name of Gulshan-e-Ma'ani. Two copies of its manuscript are available with the central library of the University of the Punjab, Lahore.

Sadiq Hidayat is the pioneer of novel writing in Iran and is duly recognized as its representative. Contemporary fiction writer include Buzurg Alvi, Sadiq Chobak, Jalal Aal e Ahmad, Ibrahim Gulistan, Ahmad Mahmood and Mamood Daulatabadi besides Sadiq Hidayat. Kai Chand Thay Sar e Asmaan by Shamsur Rahman Faruqi is a trend setter novel in Urdu language. It has attained the status of milestone in modern Urdu fiction. Mr. Faruqi has presented in this novel contemporary history, Indo Islamic civilization and culture in the backdrop of the 18th and 19th centuries. Indeed, it can be asserted that philosophical traits of the novel have shaped it into a marvel of 21st century Urdu fiction. Fort William College played a very significant role in the spread of Urdu language. Many a book published under the influence of this College. Baital Pachisi and Sanghasan Battisi were two famous books on folklore which also got published from here. This article analyses the style and content of these two books. The article focuses their philosophical traits besides shedding lights on their dealings of folk wisdom from different aspects like socio-politic, societal and finally feminine. Moreover, the article studies the religious and ethical points presented in them. A comparative study has also been made between both books side by side study of their Hindi mix style
