Sayyed Mohammad Hossein Behjat Tabrizi was a legendary Iranian poet of Azeri origin, wrote in Azerbaijani and Persian languages. Sherhryar was the first Iranian to write significant poetry in Turkish. His poems are mainly influenced by Hafez and Khasta Gasem, an old Turkish poet. His most famous poem Heydar-Babaya Salam is considered the best modern poem in Turkish language. Many of his bitter sweet memories are composed in Azerbaijani and later translated into Persian. He also wrote a book of epic poems, Takht-e Jamshid. He was interested in humanistic issues and in his poem "A letter to Einstein" he criticizes result of his scientific work that was abused as nuclear weapons. One of the major reasons for the success of Shahyar's work is the sincerity of his word. Since he uses slang and colloquial language in the context of poetry, his poems are understandable and effective for a broad segment of the public

There is no doubt that humour and satire in Urdu Journalism was formally started with the launching of "Awadh Punch" in 1877. Most of the scholars considered column writing and humoristic journals as main promoter of Urdu literary humour and satire. This article theorizes other than this view point and asserts that they were not the only platforms of humour though they had played a very significant role in this regard. A few misconceptions have also been discussed for exploring the kind of qualitative difference that exist in humour and satire propagated through, column writing, humoristic journals and literary journals

Abul al Faiz Faizi was an accomplished poet of the Sub continent whose poetic excellence was acknowledged throughout the Persian speaking world. He was associated with the court of emperor Jalal al Din Akbar as Poet Laureate. His poetic renditions were scattered here and there and finally got compiled in an anthology by A.D Arshad and published from the University of the Punjab, Lahore in 1967. Being Muslims, a good number of Urdu poets learnt Arabic in their early age. Some of them studied Arabic literature also. They are influenced and fascinated by the beautiful and captivating style of the Holy Quran and sayings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). That’s why we see them using words and meanings borrowed from the Quran, sayings of the Holy Prophet and Arabic literature in their poetry. In this article, the impact of Arabic literature on Urdu poets by giving examples from their poetry has been elucidated and the light has been thrown on how their poetry has been influenced and enriched by the shades of Arabic literature

The article deals with the Punjabi poetry books published in the year of 2013. Besides taking into account the quality and quantity, a comprehensive review has been given on the contents of each book. The article begins with the pure collection of Punjabi poem and later on sheds light on the books carrying the Punjabi poem partially. The Punjabi poetry of 2013 has been divided into two trends: neoclassical and modern poem. Thus the panorama of Punjabi poetry comes into forth more vividly and also help demeanor the future of Punjabi poem.

The tradition of composing glorifying verse on the Holy Prophet (PBUH) has been very rich throughout the history of Islam. No poet has yet been traced who has not composed less or more on this topic. This applies to the poets of all languages used by the Muslim in the world. Persian language is of special importance in this regard. A rich treatise of such poetry is found in this language. Munir Lahori was a renowned Persian poet of the Subcontinent who lived in Shahjahan period. He had written praise verse on the Holy Prophet (PBUH). This article presents a study of Munir Lahori's glorifying verse in Persian language.

It has not only created inferiority complex among the people of Punjab about their language and culture but also very significant changes have been observed in their culture. Nobody can deny the importance of media in modern times. Media is being used as most effective tool in today’s world. The article analyses the basic characteristics and important expressions of Islamic media in perspective of media’s role. Islamic media is meant to keep the people abreast of the religious particulars so that they may form a balanced and right approach. The main regulating points of Islamic media are: 1) authenticity of information, 2) honest dissemination of information, 3)restraint of negative information, 4) employing Islamic ethical values in discharging duties. Some important suggestions have also been presented at the end of the article regarding improvement of Islamic media
