No full textMir Sayyid Ali Hamdani was the greatest Muslim Sufi. He rendered his services for the spread of peaceful message of Islam in the length and breadth of the valley of Kashmir. Hundreds of his fellow Sayyids accompanied him from Hamdan and other parts of Iran. Owing to the efforts of Mir Hamdani cultural relations and contacts established between the people of Kashmir and Central Asia. Sayyid Ali Hamdani encouraged skilled artisans, technicians and architects from abroad and fostered new arts in Kashmir. A number of people embraced Islam at his hand and thus he successfully gave a new shape to the religio - cultural milieu of Kashmir

No full textNaguib Mahfouz is the most prominent name of contemporary Arabic literature. He is the only Nobel Laureate of the Arabic speaking world. He was a prolific writer and contributed to Arabic a rich treatise of fiction. He received worldwide popularity for his unique Trilogy. Though his main claim to fame is novel writing yet he also wrote short stories and number of his short story collections got published. This article deals with one of his master piece stories namely Qismati and Naseebi. He has successfully presented psychological conflicts, undercurrent contradictions and finally inevitability of the opposite through the story which show his keen observation and handling of the human psychology in a befitting way.

Majeed Amjad is an established poet of modern Urdu. He is recognized by his unique style, diction and dealing of the issues. Though he lived away from the centre of literature and was contended with a simple life, he thought and wrote on issues prevalent in the literary circles. His observation compelled him to raise questions against life, existence and world etc. He developed a sense of indifference in his life which later got permeated in his poetry. This article is a study of Majeed's concept of indifference.

It has been guiding generations after generation through the centuries till it reaches our age. This paper highlights the significance of the prophetic traditions and the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet regarding the interpretation of the Holy Qur’ān and Islamic law. It theorises that the sayings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) are the major and authentic source for the true interpretation of the Holy Quran
