    Altaf Husain Haali is a great literary figure of the sub-continent. He mainly wrote in Urdu but he also excelled in Persian language. It is why he composed in Persian language too. Shibli No'mani was another great scholar who proved his literary mettle in multi genres. He was well versed in Arabic and Persian besides Urdu. Along Arabic and Urdu, he wrote in Persian as well. This article is an introductory study of Persian ghazals written by Haali and Shibli.

    Mumtaz Mufti is one of the great writers of Urdu. He was basically a novelist and short story writer but afterwards he turned to spiritual themes. He met with some saintly personalities in his life but he was never impressed by them. His mysticism got impetus only in the Quduratullah Shahab's company which got reflected in his famous books Labbaik, Alakh Nagri and Tlash. He enjoys his relation with Allah and expresses it in a literary style which has been very much appreciated by the literary circles. According to Alakh Nagri this great writer has been honored with spiritual rebirth.  In this article an effort has been made to analyze the spiritual journey of Mumtaz Mufti.

    Satire and Humor is not only a literary form rather it is a style, attitude, aesthetic and delicacy which help in adding a touch of lush and sublimity to any form of literature. In prose and poetry of every language of world, they reflect multi format of their pithiness and subtlety which provide the 'dish' of literature with eternal sweetness. In this article Satire and Humor have been overviewed and analyzed and that how they show their adornment in the thousand year's old history of Persian literature. It has been evaluated critically that how the great Persian poets and writers have used Satire and Humor as a tool in nazm, ghazal, qaseeda, masnavi, hajv, shehar aashob, hikmat and stories to reform and entertain the human beings and how it added hypnotic touch to their writings.

    Both Dr. Ghulam Husain Zulfiqar and Dr. Waheed Qureshi were prominent teachers, researchers and authors. They were contemporary and worked for the progress of Urdu language and literature. Dr Zulifqar served as Chair of Urdu and Pakistan Studies at Istanbul University, Turkey. He remained in touch with Dr Qureshi while he was in Turkey through letters. These letters are on various topics mainly of academic nature. This article is a textual study of the letters written by Dr Zulifqar to Dr Qureshi.

    Monthly Hilal is an informative literary and research magazine published by Pakistan Armed Forces for last seventy years. In the early days, it was named as Mujahid but later on its title was changed to Hilal in 1951. This journal was started as a daily, then weekly and now is being published on monthly basis. It carries articles in both Urdu and English. Poetic and prose writings are encouraged from writers belonging to civil and defense forces alike. The role of the national songs is indispensible and that's why the national song is the regular feature of this magazine. The article focuses the national songs published in 'Hilal'

    Khawaja Mir Dard is a great mystic poet of Urdu and so is Miss Emily Dickinson of English language. They both enjoy world-wide recognition in regard to their mysticism and mystic poetry. They can rightly be termed as the true representative of mysticism in their respective languages. Mysticism is not an abstract subject in their poetry; rather it is the very foundation of their poetic disposition. They not only presented mysticism in their verses but also practiced it in their daily life.     Sufi AQ Niaz rendered Mirza Asadullah Ghalib's select verse into English under the name of Whispers from Ghalib. It was published by Feroz Sons, Lahore in 1960. It comprises one hundred and fifteen verses from Ghalib's Urdu poetry. These verses are randomly picked from Divan-e-Ghalibputting no serious effort in this regard. This article is a critical analysis of Niaz's English rendition of Ghalib's Urdu verse

    The naturalistic tendency that became the forte of the Mughal domain especially during the sixteenth and the seventeenth century are the areas of this papar. The particular mosques that this research focuses are the, Maryam Zamani mosque, Neela Gumbad mosque, Badshahi mosque and the Sonehri mosque. The study of these particular mosques sheds light on the development of the Mughal ornamentation through their reigning period. The particular area of the dome is the focus of study as it had been an important part of the mosque architecture throughout the Islamic reign and mostly the apex of concepts and ideology were achieved during its composition of various floral and geometric motifs. The dome decoration has a variety that needs to be explored and documented within the vicinity of Lahore, especially the mosques as they are fading away quickly into the dust of their surroundings.
