فارسی رباعیات کے منظوم اردو تراجم
The art of translation is more toilsome than creating a piece of art itself. A piece of art in prose demands a peculiar skill likewise. Rendering translation of a verse is as to undergo laborious process where the translator maintains the spirit of the original work in the translation while observing the nuances of the language in which translation is being carried out. The article focuses on verse translation of Umar Khayyam, Sheikh Abu Saeed Abu al-Khair and Sarmad Kashani's Persian Quartets into Urdu
شوکت صدیقی کے ناولوں میں طنزیہ کردار
Shaukat Siddiqui is mainly remembered for his realist approach in Urdu literature. Interestingly, his writings are also full of satires. He mocks at the defects, demerits, evils and frivolities of the society. The satirical characters in his novels are the true representatives of injustice and cruelty in the society. These satirical characters are mostly top-notch officers, feudal lords, high rank officials and political authorities who hold the sway over the poor. They use public for their nefarious designs and worldly gains. They do not even hesitate to push them to further oppression even to death. They usurp public properties, treat them inhumanly and enforce them to remain their lifelong slaves. The article focuses satirical characterization in Shaukat Siddiqui’s novels

The art of oratory played a vital role in the political, social, ideological and cultural awareness of the Muslim of the Subcontinent. Sir Syed, Hali, Shibli, Mohsin-ul-Malik, Nazir Ahmad, Iqbal and Azad all were excellent in oratory. The Ali Garh Movement set a platform to sustain Muslim unity and oratory contributed a lot to broaden this platform. Resultantly, the Muslim could fight their battle fully well having realized their national political needs. Ghulam Abbas enjoys a prominent place in Urdu fiction. His short stories give the reflection of the problems of those who are close to reality. He has also written on issues of the middle class. He describes the different aspects of human psychology concluding that human is under the control of his fate. The concept of human in the short stories of Ghulam Abbas is unlike that of Iqbal’s which is ideal and complete in all respects. The man in writing of Ghulam Abbas acquire different shapes and shades of life. To protest or desire to bring revolution and change in the society or not to accept the situation, are not the roles of his short stories. He presents a different type of human being in his short stories which has been highlighted in this article.

Ali Bin Usman Hujveri was a renowned Sufi who emigrated from Afghanistan and settled in Lahore. He not only preached the peaceful message of Islam to the people of Punjab but also rendered a compendious work of Sufism namely KASHFUL MAJUB. Along Quranic verses, quotations from Hadith literature and Persian poetry, he also employed many Arabic verses in his book. The article is a study of the Arabic poetry used in KASHFUL MAJUB by Ali Bin Usman Hujveri.

Kashuful Mahjub is one of the most important Persian treatises in which Hazrat Ali Hujvari has elaborated many important aspects of Sufism. Given its importance, it has been translated into different languages of the world. This article is about the Punjabi translation of Kashful Mahjub done by Muhammad Sharif Sabir. He beautifully rendered this book into Punjabi. While translating he used very simple and easy words of Arabic and Persian origin instead of difficult words of Hindi, Siraiki and Pothowari. He also translated the Arabic text of the book to facilitate its readers. In short, he has been successful to convey the message of Ali Hujvari’s book to the Punjabi readers

Chishti is a renowned Order of Sufism in the Subcontinent. Hazrat Khwaja Moeenuddin Chishti of Ajmer was the founder of the Chishti Order. In Gujrat (India) this Order started with the emerging of Sheikh Kamaluddin Allama. He was the disciple of Hazrat Khwaja Naseeruddin Chiragh Dehlavi. A deep study of the history of Sufis of the Chishti Order in Gujrat (India), brings before us the fact that the Sufis of this Order played important role in the preaching of Islam along with spreading the teachings of the Chishti Order. The major Sufis of this Order in Gujrat were Sheikh Ilmuddin Chishti, Sheikh Mehmood Chishti, Sheikh Yaqoob Chishti, Sheikh Babu Chishti, Hazrat Khoob Miyan Chishti and many others
