Trakya Paşaeli Gazetesinde Yayımlanan Edirne Şiirleri
Birinci Dünya Savaşı’nın ardından Mondros Ateşkes Antlaşması’nın imzalanmasından hemen sonra kurulan cemiyetlerden biri olan Trakya Paşaeli Müdafaa-i Hukuk Cemiyeti, Trakya’nın Türklere ait olduğunu kanıtlamak, yaşanabilecek olası bir işgal karşısında teşkilatlanmak ve kamuoyu oluşturmak adına harekete geçer. Bu bağlamda cemiyet tarafından ilk sayısı 2 Aralık 1918’de yayımlanan Trakya Paşaeli gazetesinin söz konusu amaçlar çerçevesinde yayınlar yaptığı görülür. Dolayısıyla daha ziyade siyasi, askerî ve tarihî yazılara yer verilen gazetede bununla birlikte edebî içerikler de bulunmaktadır. Vatan sevgisini esas alan, azınlıkların Osmanlı Devleti’ne karşı almış olduğu tavrı eleştiren, geçmiş günlere duyulan özlemin ifadesi olan, İzmir gibi ülkenin farklı yerlerinde gerçekleşen işgalleri protesto eden, kaybedileceği düşünülen toprakların yarattığı kederi yansıtan ve nihayet güzel günlerin geleceğine olan inancı dile getiren bu şiirler, gazetenin ilk sayısından son sayısına kadar görülmektedir. Söz konusu gazetede en çok ismi görülen şair İskeçeli Mehmet Sıtkı olmakla birlikte Rifat Celal, Eşref, Osman Nuri gibi farklı şairlerin şiirlerine de yer verilmiştir. Çalışmamızda ilk önce Trakya Paşaeli gazetesindeki edebî içeriklerden özellikle Edirne üzerine yazılan şiirler tarihî gelişmeler de göz önünde bulundurularak ve şairlerin ruh hâli ile dönem koşulları arasında nedensellik kurularak ele alınacaktır. Aynı zamanda bugüne kadar Edirne ile ilgili yapılan çalışmalara katkı sağlamak amaçlanmıştır
Tocilizumab as a first line biologic agent in rheumatoid arthritis patients with inadequate response to disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs: Real life experience from the TReasure Registry
To evaluate the retention rate, treatment response and safety of tocilizumab (TCZ) as first-line biologic treatment in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients with inadequate response to disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs (DMARD-IR). Methods The TReasure Registry is a multicentre, web-based registry of RA and spondyloarthritis patients across Turkey. DMARD-IR RA patients who received TCZ as first-line biologic treatment were included in this registry for efficacy and safety. Demographic and clinical data, treatments, and adverse events were collected. Drug retention rate was estimated using Kaplan-Meier analysis. Results Among 642 RA patients who ever used TCZ, 258 DMARD-IR RA patients (male/female: 18.2%/81.8%, mean age, 54.41 years) received TCZ as first-line biologic. The median disease duration was 97 (range, 60 179) months and the median TCZ treatment duration was 15 (range, 6 28) months. At the 6th and 12th months of TCZ treatment, the decrease in disease activity scores from baseline was significant. The Kaplan-Meier analysis revealed the retention rate of TCZ at the 12th, 24th, 36th, and 60th months as 81.1%, 73.8%, 66.2%, and 63.6%, respectively. Fifty-seven (22%) patients discontinued TCZ; the main reason being primary or secondary inefficacy (n=29). Conclusion Over 80% drug retention rate at 12th month of TCZ treatment in this real-world study was concordant with previously conducted TCZ clinical studies. Significant reductions not only in the disease activity score-28 but also in the simplified disease activity index (SDAI) and clinical disease activity index (CDAI) scores, along with health assessment questionnaire (HAQ) scores, supported the impact of TCZ in RA management with a good safety profile. © 2024 Clinical and Experimental Rheumatology S.A.S.. Cultural and Generational Differences in Predicting Green Consumption: A Mediated Moderation Model
This study aimed to examine the effects of the antecedents of the theory of planned behaviour and environmental concern on green purchase intention. It also examines the mediating role of attitude and the moderating roles of generation and culture in these relationships. Using an online survey, the study collected primary data from 446 international students at Tekirdag Namik Kemal University. As a result of structural equation modelling, it was determined that attitude, subjective norms, perceived behavioural control and environmental concern increased green purchase intention. In addition, it was determined that attitude partially mediated the relationship between environmental concern and green purchase intention and that this relationship was stronger in Western culture
Beyond expectations: safinamide’s unprecedented neuroprotective impact on acute spinal cord injury
Background: Traumatic spinal cord injury (SCI) is the most common preventable cause of morbidity. Despite rapid advances in medicine, effective pharmacological treatment against SCI has not yet been confirmed. This study aimed to investigate the possible anti-inflammatory, antiapoptotic, and neuroprotective effects of safinamide after SCI in a rat model. Methods: A total of 40 male Wistar albino rats were randomly divided into four groups. Group 1 underwent only laminectomy. Group 2 underwent SCI after laminectomy. In group 3, SCI was performed after laminectomy, and immediately afterward, intraperitoneal physiological saline solution was administered. In group 4, SCI was performed after laminectomy, and 90 mg/kg of safinamide was given intraperitoneally immediately afterward. Moderate spinal cord damage was induced at the level of thoracic vertebra nine (T9). Neuromotor function tests were performed and levels of tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), interleukin-6 (IL-6), and interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β) were measured. In both serum and spinal cord tissue, immunohistochemistry and histopathology studies were also conducted. Results: TNF-α, IL-1β, and IL-6 levels were found to be significantly increased in group 2 and group 3. In group 4, these levels were statistically significantly decreased. Group 4 also exhibited significant improvement in neuromotor function tests compared to the other groups. Histopathologically, it was found that group 4 showed significantly reduced inflammation and apoptosis compared to the other groups. Conclusion: This study revealed that safinamide has neuroprotective effects against SCI due to its anti-inflammatory, antiapoptotic, and antioxidant activities. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany 2024. corrected publication 2024
Nonlinear Wave Interaction of Nanorods Embedded in a Viscoelastic Medium
Purpose Nonlinear interactions between two acoustic waves in nanorods traveling at various wave numbers, group velocities, and frequencies are examined in this study.Methods The nonlinear equation of the nanorod in a viscoelastic medium is obtained using the theory of nonlocal elasticity. Furthermore, the multiple-scale expansion method is applied to study strongly dispersive, weakly nonlinear waves in a nonlocal viscoelastic medium. Using this expansion technique, we can derive the coupled nonlinear Schr & ouml;dinger equations as the governing equations, which we solve as differential equations of some parameters by expanding the field quantities into an asymptotic series of the smallness parameter.Results We give the nonlinear plane wave solutions to these equations in several special cases. The plane wave solutions show how the wave amplitude affects the frequencies of nonlinear plane waves. Additionally, we show numerically how the real and imaginary parts of the group velocities and natural frequency of the system for a carbon nanotube in a viscoelastic medium are affected by the nonlocal, damping, and stiffness parameters.Tekirdag Namimath;k Kemal UniversityNo Statement Availabl
Determination of knowledge levels and attitudes of clinician veterinarians working in Thrace region towards antibiotic use
Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) has become a global problem due to wide-spread antimicrobial use in human and veterinary medicine. AMR affects health systems by leading to prolonged and severe illnesses, high mortality rates, and treatment failures caused by resistant microorganisms. As antibiotics are the most widely used drugs in veterinary medicine, veterinarians’ knowledge, attitudes and practices regarding antibiotic use are crucial in combating AMR. In this cross-sectional study, an online questionnaire of 20 ques-tions was administered to clinician veterinarians and members of the Trakya Chamber of Veterinarians and 60 participants answered the questionnaire. In the current survey, 98 % of veterinarians agree that AMR is an important public health problem and emphasize that focusing on rational antibiotic use in veterinary medicine is a critical area to slow the development of AMR. Only 10 % of the respondents stated that they take into account antibiotic requests from patient owners, 68.3 % stated that they rarely use off-label drugs and 16.7 % stated that they often use them. Of those respondents, 16.7 % stated that they routinely perform antibiograms. Regarding education, 41.7 % of veterinarians had received training on rational antibiotic use. When asked about their preferred type of training, 56.7 % favored online training, while 35 % preferred face-to-face sessions. The results indicate that veterinarians play a significant role in combating AMR and that more awareness and education are needed in this field. © 2024 Sezai Arslan et al
Nudge theory on intrapreneurship: a conceptual view
Purpose - This study aims to discuss appropriate individual, organizational and macroleveled conditions when it is desired to foster intrapreneurship with nudge techniques. Design/methodology/approach - Conceptual paper. Findings - This paper aims to provide theoretical framework on the relationship between nudges approach and intrapreneurship and offer measurable propositions at different level of analysis for future research. Originality/value - At the individual level it is theorized that nudges techniques on intrapreneurship will work when: agents are aware of being nudged, choice architect is a well-recognized leader, perception of meaningful work is high and agents had former experience about being nudged. At the organizational level it is claimed that the number, type and frequency of nudges plays the prominent role. Lastly, at the macrolevel it is postulated that cultural adjustments, providing education and forming networks sets the ground for pushing masses to intrapreneurial activities via nudges
Genotype and Environment Effect on Yield and Quality Parameters and Stability in Bread Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) Cultivars under Rainfed Conditions
The significant genotype by environment interaction is a major matter for wheat breeding research. The study was carried out for seven growing season (between 2010-2011 and 2016-2017) in the Edirne location in the Trakya region, Türkiye. Each year was considered as a single environment. In the study, a regional yield trial of 25 genotypes, 5 of which were standard cultivars were evaluated across seven environments. The experiments were arranged in a randomized complete block design (RCBD) with four replications. The characters such as yield, days to heading, plant height, thousand kernel weight, hectoliter weight, protein ratio, wet gluten content, gluten index, grain hardness and sedimentation value were investigated in the study. The result of the variance analysis (ANOVA) demonstrated considerable differences (p<0.01 and p<0.05) among environments for the characters and among genotypes except for test weight and grain hardness. The highest grain yielding cultivar was Gelibolu with 7234 kg ha-1. According to the results, the yield was affected by the environment by 70.90%, genotypes by 3.46% and their interaction by 11.35%. Environmental impact was responsible for much of the change. Mean grain yield over seven environments varied with the lowest being 4454 kg ha-1 in E6 and the highest being 8158 kg ha-1 in environment E4. The fact that there was an 83.2% yield difference between the environments in the study showed the importance of the environmental impact. The highest grain hardness, sedimentation value, gluten content and protein ratio were determined in E1. The biplot analysis results explained that Selimiye is an ideal cultivar and E1 is an ideal environment. In the study, E7 and E2 were the most discriminative environments, while E4 was the least discriminating. Among the varieties, Aldane had high values in terms of sedimentation, protein ratio and gluten value, while Pehlivan variety had high values in terms of test weight, 1000 grain weight and grain hardness. As a result of the research, the importance of genotype and environmental effects on yield and quality was also seen in this research
Synthesis of silver nanoparticles by using fungi and synthesis of their nanocomposites for supercapacitor applications
Süperkapasitörler, yüksek güç sağlama yetenekleri, uzun döngü ömürleri ve çevre dostu olmaları gibi özelliklerinden dolayı büyük ilgi görmektedir. Bunlar, yüksek güç yoğunluğuna sahip geleneksel kapasitörler ile yüksek enerji yoğunluğuna sahip yakıt hücreleri/bataryalar arasındaki enerji-güç farkını dengeleme ve bağlantı sağlama görevini üstlenirler. Bu çalışmada, metalik Ag nano partiküllerin (AgNP) sentezi farklı bir yöntem ile üretilmiştir. Üç çeşit mantar kullanarak farklı yöntemlerle gümüş nanopartiküllerin (AgNP) sentezlenmesi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Elde edilen AgNP'lerin grafitten başlayarak grafen oksit (GO) sentezi, mikrodalga metodu ile indirgenmiş grafen okside (rGO) indirgenmesi ve rGO ile AgNP ikili ve polianilin ile üç bileşenli nanokompozitleri (rGO/AgNP/polianilin (PANI)) sentezlenmesi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Üç farklı mantar türü (porçini mantarı, kanlıca mantarı ve sığır dili mantarı) başlayarak gümüş nitrat malzemesi muamelesi ve biyosentez yöntemi ile gümüş nanopartiküller elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen AgNP'in kullanımı ile rGO/AgNP ve rGO/AgNP/PANI nanokompozitleri sentezlenemiş ve karakterizasyonları Taramalı Elektron Mikroskobu-enerji dağılımlı X ışınları (SEM-EDX), Fourier Dönüşümlü Kızılötesi Spektroskopisi (FTIR), Termal gravimetrik analizleri (TGADTA) ile karakterizasyonları gerçekleştirilmiştir. Gümüş nanopartiküllerin rGO ve rGO/PANI ile kompozitlerinin 2032 düğme pil içerisinde süperkapasitör cihazları yapılarak elektrokimyasal performans testleri döngülü voltametri (CV), galvanostatik yükleme/boşalma (GCD) ve elektrokimyasal empedans spektroskopi (EES) ölçümleri gerçekleştirilmiştir. Stabilite testleri (1000 döngü), CV methodu ile 100 mV/s tarama hızında gerçekleştirilmiştir.Supercapacitors have received substantial interest due to their capacity for high-power delivery, extended cycle life, and environmental compatibility. These devices effectively bridge the energy-power disparity between conventional capacitors, which exhibit high power density, and fuel cells/batteries, renowned for their high energy density. In this study, three types of fungi were used to synthesize AgNPs through different methods. The resulting AgNPs were utilized to synthesize graphene oxide (GO) starting from graphite, which was then reduced to reduced graphene oxide (rGO) using a microwave method. The synthesis of binary rGO/AgNP and ternary rGO/AgNP/polyaniline (PANI) nanocomposites were performed in more detail. Silver nanoparticles were synthesized via a biosynthesis method using three different fungal species (Porcini mushroom, Kanlıca mushroom, and Sığır dili mushroom) and silver nitrate. The synthesized AgNPs were used to produce rGO/AgNP and rGO/AgNP/PANI nanocomposites, which were characterized using Scanning Electron Microscopy with Energy-Dispersive X-ray analysis (SEM-EDX), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), and Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA-DTA). The composite materials containing silver nanoparticles were then assembled into supercapacitor devices using 2032 coin cells, and their electrochemical performance was evaluated through cyclic voltammetry (CV), galvanostatic charge-discharge (GCD), and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) measurements. An evaluation of the Tersilochinae (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae) Fauna of Türkiye and the New Record of Aneuclis incidens (Thomson, 1889) for the Province of Bingöl (Karlıova)
The present study was undertaken to examine of the subfamily Tersilochinae (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae) in Türkiye. The Tersilochinae, one of the 47 subfamilies are a worldwide subfamily of the parasitoid wasp family Ichneumonidae. This subfamily, are koinobiont endoparasitoids of Coleoptera larvae, (although Symphyta larvae are recorded as hosts of one genus). Hosts include Curculionidae and Chrysomelidae so Tersilochinae are used for biological control. Tersilochinae species constituting the study were collected from parts of Türkiye between 1995-2022. At the same time, the study also added before 1995 literature information. 42 species from genera of Aneuclis, Barycnemis, Diaparsis (Diaparsis), Diaparsis (Nanodiaparsis), Gelanes, Heterocola (Heterocola), Heterocola (Heterocoloides), Phradis, Probles (Euporizon), Probles (Microdiaparpis), Probles (Probles), Tersilochus (Gonolochus) and Tersilochus (Tersilochus) have been identified from Türkiye so far. The study consist of 217 samples. Among these species, Heterocola (Heterocola) longipalpis Kolarov & Beyarslan is endemic for Türkiye at now. With this, Heterocola (Heterocola) nigrotibialis Horstmann and Kolarov, Tersilochus (Gonolochus) rugulosus Horstmann, Tersilochus (Gonolochus) nitens Horstmann & Kolarov and Tersilochus (Tersilochus) cognatus Holmgren are rare species for Türkiye. Again, Probles (Microdiaparpis) Horstmann is dense in terms of number samples, Phradis Förster and Tersilochus (Tersilochus) Holmgren are dense in terms of number species. Among the species determined, Probles (Microdiaparpis) anatolicus Horstmann, Aneuclis incidens (Thomson) and Barycnemis harpura (Schrank) were recorded the most abundant species in research areas. In addition to all this, species composition has created for each species and new location information of this subfamily has been added. Bingöl (Karlıova) provinces is the new locality for this subfamily
