Study of Environmental Law Policy in Waste Management
Handling and management of waste will be more complex and complicated with the increasingly complex type and composition of waste. This study aims to examine environmental law policies in waste management. This research is normative legal research with a statutory approach. Data were collected by literature study, then analyzed qualitatively. Legal policy in waste management refers to three legal systems which are a combination of components, namely structure, substance, and culture. The Effect of Competition on Earnings Management with Accounting Conservatism as Mediator
This study aims to analyze the effect of competition on accounting conservatism, analyze the effect of competition on earnings management, analyze the effect of accounting conservatism on earnings management and analyze the effect of competition on earnings management with accounting conservatism as a mediator. Empirical Evaluation of Effects of Intellectual Capital Efficiency on Firm’s Value in Some Selected Listed Firms on Nigerian Exchange Group
This contemporary world of economy driven by information and communication technology (ICT) has at its heart the dynamic force of knowledge and human capital development, pivotal to a standard capital market of a world class, has become a very vital and precious asset to organisations. This study examined the effect of Intellectual Capital Efficiency on Firm’s Value in Some Selected Listed Firms on Nigerian Exchange Group. Data for the study were extracted from annual reports and accounts of thirty one selected companies for the period 2016-2021. Data for Intellectual Capital Efficiency proxy by Modified Value Added Intellectual Coefficient (M-VAIC=HCE,SCE,RCE and CEE) and Firm’s value estimated by Market to Book Value(M/BV), Earnings Per Share (EPS) and Tobin Q (TQ) were extracted from the annual reports and accounts of selected companies. Three research hypotheses were formulated and tested adopting both descriptive statistics and simple regression techniques (OLS) with the aid of Stata 13.0 software. The findings revealed that M-VAIC have positive and significant effect on M/BV,EPS and TQ of Some Selected Listed Firms. Also, the introduced control variable (firm size) has a positive relationship and significant effect M/BV,EPS and TQ of Some Selected Listed Firms in Nigeria. Consequent upon this study, it was recommended that the importance of the intellectual capital should not be undermined and the mechanism, through which intellectual and human capital flow should be developed, maintained and improved; Since ICE has been shown to be the key driver of value creation, deliberate efforts should be made to grow IC of firms by first recruiting very competent staff, train and motivate them. Companies must strategically and deliberately train and retain staff for a long time to avoid losing the intellectual assets possessed by them, which could stimulate better future value and firms should invest in knowledge capital (that is intellectual capital), information technology (ICT) that can help they increase in their structural capital by harnessing information technology
The Tradition of Ngaruat Lembur for the Community: Ethnographic Study of Ngaruat Tradition Overtime in Parigi Hamlet, Belendung Village, Cibogo Sub-District, Subang District
This research is motivated by the still holding of the Ngaruat Lembur tradition in the Parigi Hamlet, Belendung Village in the midst of the times that have undergone many changes caused by advances in science and technology. This study aims to describe and analyze the process of organizing the Ngaruat Lembur tradition for the people of Parigi Hamlet, Belendung Village. In addition, it aims to describe and analyze the values ??contained in the tradition. This study uses an ethnographic type of research, which is a qualitative design whose research describes and interprets the same pattern of values, behavior, beliefs, and language of a group of the same culture. The data collection techniques used were in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation. The data obtained will be reviewed with Cultural Theory and other relevant theories. Based on the discussion of the research results, it is concluded: (1) The process of organizing the Ngaruat Lembur tradition for the people of Parigi Hamlet, Belendung Village includes the "initial process" which is prepared by supporters voluntarily and with high enthusiasm through committee formation activities, fundraising, making various foods, and cleaning. village environment; The “peak process” is carried out by the supporters with solemnity and high enthusiasm through numbal activities, the Dewi Sri procession, the celebration of nyandak tumpeng, wayang golek performances, and ruatan; and the “final process” which was completed by the supporters with high responsibility and sincere devotion through cleaning up the hamlet environment and disbanding the committee. (2) The values ??contained in the tradition include "religious magical values" which are seen in numbal activities, the Dewi Sri procession, the celebration of nyandak tumpeng, and ruatan as a means of expressing gratitude for the produce of the earth, respect for the ancestors, and refuse reinforcements; “togetherness values” as seen in the activities of forming the committee, raising funds, making various foods, cleaning the hamlet environment, and disbanding the committee as a means of strengthening brotherhood ties; and the “material values” that appear in the wayang golek performances as a means of entertainment, populist economy, and practical politics
The Importance of the Secretariat of Services to regional People's Representative Assembly in Malang Regency of Indonesia
The purpose of the study was to describe and analyze the implementation of services for the leaders and members of the Regional People's Representative Council based on the Malang Regent's Regulation, Organizational Structure, Duties and Functions, and the Work Procedure of the Regional People's Representative Council Secretariat at the Malang Regency Regional House of Representatives Secretariat Office. The method used is qualitative. The research aims to describe clearly, systematically and modestly how the Implementation of Services for Leaders and Members of the Regional House of Representatives is carried out by the Regional Secretariat of Malang Regency; then, the data can be analyzed. The study results indicate that the quality of services the Regional Secretariat provides to Council Members is still not optimal. Where there are inhibiting factors originating from the Regional Secretariat, which is the key holder to achieving organizational goals in terms of service to the Leaders and Members of the Regional House of Representatives of Malang Regency. The inhibiting factor is the low level of awareness of ASN as state servants, not politicians because they tend to stick to the party's mandate, not main tasks and functions. Then the classic problem of Civil Servants is where the workload is uneven and not by the main tasks, which means that the more diligent, the more tasks
Study of Teacher performance implementation of staffing policies in Training and Basic Education in Probolinggo Regency of Indonesia
This study aims to describe the implementation of staffing policies based on the Regulation of the State Administration Agency in Probolinggo Regency and describe and analyze the teacher's response to training and primary education based on the Regulation of the State Administration Agency in Probolinggo Regency. Researcher used the descriptive qualitative method with a model of policy implementation using the theory of Public Policy Implementation, which is determined by the content of the policy and the context of its implementation. The results showed that the output of the recapitulation of respondents' answers was obtained with suitable criteria. The results of field observations also provide evidence that several samples get full support from their superiors and are provided with facilities and infrastructure for wifi access when there is an online class. The outcome is the result of recapitulation of respondents' answers, and scores with good criteria are obtained. The results of field observations also provide evidence that several samples shows that many obstacles can hinder the achievement of self-actualization, namely transfers/promotions, lack of financial support and other resources, lack of mentor support, lack of support from team members and problems with routine work
Study of Policies of the Indonesian National Police in the Settlement of Crimes against the Background of Social Conflict
This study aims to analyze and find answers regarding the actions and application of non-penal policies by the National Police in resolving criminal acts against the background of social conflict that occurred in several regions in Indonesia based on Indonesian positive law and to find a model for resolving crimes against the background of social conflict. through a non-penal policy approach that can be carried out by the National Police in the future. The research method used is a legal research method with a normative juridical and sociological juridical approach (socio-legal research). The policy of the State Police of the Republic of Indonesia in resolving criminal acts against the background of social conflicts that occurred in several areas is to use a penal policy approach and a non-penal policy approach. is not final and binding, so it cannot provide legal certainty, justice, and benefits and does not touch the basic problems that occur in the community. In addition, prolonged social impacts still have the potential to occur, for example, retaliation, ex-convicts in criminal cases with a social conflict background losing their status (unemployment due to job loss), social reactions from the community by distancing former convicts in criminal cases with a social conflict background and the root cause of the problem. conflict cannot be resolved comprehensively. The model for solving criminal acts with the background of social conflict carried out by the National Police in the future should prioritize a non-penal approach as a premium medium and a penal approach as an ultimate medium
The Implementation of Policies in the Management of Private Company based on the Regional Regulation of The Province of East Kalimantan, of Indonesia
The findings of the BPK dated June 29, 2020, against Migas Mandiri Pratama LTD East Kalimantan revealed that the net income deposit to the East Kalimantan Provincial Government Cashier was still lacking, the management of 10% PI Mahakam Block was not in accordance with the provisions, there were concurrent positions in the president director and on the operational director, as well as the existence of unprofessional corporate governance, inspired this study. Using a qualitative approach of the descriptive type, the purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the implementation of policies on the management of Migas Mandiri Pratama LTDEast Kalimantan based on the Regional Regulation of the Province of East Kalimantan Number 9 of 2018, as well as to describe and analyze the factors that support and impede the implementation of the policy. First, the implementation of policies on the management of Migas Mandiri Pratama LTD East Kalimantan based on Regional Regulation of the Province of East Kalimantan Number 9 of 2018 when viewed from the "policy content" indicator and "implementation environment" indicator has been successful, but there are still obstacles. THE Impact of Monitoring & Evaluation Training on the Performance of Infrastructural Projects at Dedan Kimathi University, Kenya
Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) have advanced over the period, reflecting shifts in perspective in administrative projects. Monitoring and evaluation aid in analyzing the progress of the program over time, offering reasons for venture status. The objective of the study was to examine the influence of Monitoring and evaluation factor, based on the performance whose indicators are delivered on time and within budget. The specific object of the study was to discern the impact of monitoring and evaluation training on the performance of infrastructural projects at Dedan Kimathi University, Kenya. Simple random sampling technique used to sample 157 applicants from a representative population of 265 persons by Morgan and Krejcie model. Data collected was correlated and examined for the purpose of cleaning, coding and getting frequency counts on replies condensation for a conclusion on common classifications. From the outcome, this monitoring and evaluation variable have a great influence on the program performance as elements of M & E activities have a sensible role to guide the program success. The researcher recommends, the monitoring and evaluation training should be carried out inclusively guide the implementation of the project and inform re-planning and review where necessary. A key successful administrative instrument when utilized influences the performance of project success
