Effect of Magnetic Field on the wall Permeable Channel Flow with Convective Cooling
This study aimed at making an investigation on the effect of the magnetic field on second law analysis for magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) permeable channel flow with convective cooling. Specifically, the study intended to develop a flow model for a case of nanofluid in a channel, determining the effect of different parameters on velocity and temperature of nanofluid and to determine the effect of the magnetic field on the channel flow of nanofluid.
In this study, the appropriate mathematical model for the problem was derived from the laws of conservation, momentum and energy balance where both first and second laws of thermodynamics are utilized to analyze the model problem. Using the discretization finite difference method together with the Runge-Kutta Fehlberg integration scheme, the governing partial differential equations are solved numerically and implemented on the Computer using Matlab software. The findings showed that the alumina water nanofluid tended to flow quicker than copper water nanofluid and the velocity profile increased with Hartmann number but decreased with the quantity of nanoparticle volume fraction and magnetic field
The Effect of Employee Engagement and Job Satisfaction on Effectiveness Through Organizational Changes: A Case Study of BLUD, East Java Province
Effectiveness in managing an organization is one of the important things that management wants to achieve, especially in connection with a dramatic or sudden organizational change that does not involve all components in the organization, in this case operational employees who will eventually be the backbone of the success or failure of organizational change. The attitude of employee engagement and job satisfaction of employees is expected to have a major influence on organizational effectiveness. The research objective is to analyze the effect of Employee Engagement, Job Satisfaction and organizational change on Organizational Effectiveness. The research was conducted at the Technical Implementation Unit of the Regional Public Service Agency (BLUD) in the Department of Agriculture and Food Security, East Java Province, with the number of respondents as many as 111 people. Based on the Path analysis, the research results show that the existence of Employee Engagement and Job Satisfaction of employees is very influential on Organizational Effectiveness, then job satisfaction also supports organizational change, so that employee job satisfaction and organizational change will have a greater effect than if there is no organizational change. But on the other hand, those related to employee engagement tend to have a big influence on organizational effectiveness if directly, without any organizational changes. then job satisfaction also supports organizational change, so that there is employee job satisfaction and added with organizational changes, the effect is greater than if there was no organizational change. Local Governance and Territorial Intelligence: Witch impact for the Territory Project
The relationship between man and space in sociology has always been marked by considerable complexity, due to the multiplicity of interests, elements and actors who interact in it, and who have sometimes common interests, sometimes distinct ones in relation to that common geographic anchor, for Morin 2005, "Is Complex what cannot be summed up in one key word, which cannot be reduced to a law, nor reduced to a simple idea" and it is well the case for a good number of concepts which will be evoked throughout this paper, who tries in an analytical perspective of interpretation, to review some answers to better understand the seeds at the origins of the two concepts with the rich semantics , in our case: "Territorial Intelligence, And Governance". At this level the question who rises is: “What are the possible Junctions between governance and territorial intelligence ?, and how to make from this Creed, a vector of local development? ”, This questioning appeared necessary to us following the identification of the panoply of actors, actions, and specificities of the territories, in addition to the reticular aspect of the local public cases. For this study, we first propose to review 1) The different kaleidoscopic aspects of both “intelligence” as a process, and “territory” as a construct, before evoking the intersection and the rise of "territorial intelligence", and then in the second part we will talk about 2) The emergence of the concept of "governance"
Stormwater Efficiency of Bioretention Functions and Reactor Modelling Systems
Bioretention is a practical modern best management practices for stormwater control and are a conspicuous sort of vegetated stormwater foundation that functions for the different ecosystem. This paper discussion focusses on bioretention system functions (BSF) and reactor modeling (RM) review. Bioretention plays an essential role in carbon sequestration, as an alleviation process, to reduce global warming in the environment. Also, it functions for runoff infiltration, storage, and water uptake by vegetation. The base layer of a bioretention actively improves the denitrification capacity of the system and promotes the effective removal of phosphorus and nitrogen. Bioretention design soil ratio, plant types, and flow regime influence the efficiency of contaminants removal in the denitrification process. Bioretention beautifies the environment, and the utilization of compost in bioretention is on account of its water-holding and improved infiltration capacity, thereby improving water quality. The reactor modeling chemical description is through equations and kinetic models. The chemical computation of biological processes of pollutant nutrient removal from stormwater is in the form of a number equation. The models explored are first-order removal model, second order, plug flow patterns models, Monod and multiple Monod kinetics, continuous stirred-tank reactor model, and tank-in Series flow models
Green Cities and Sustainable Urban Development:(Subject review)
Sustainable urban planning provides the path to combat climate change for cities. Integrated urban areas built to put together residents, events, structures, and public facilities, with simple walking and cycling links between them and almost an outstanding transport service to the rest of the world. In other words, a town built with socioeconomic, cultural, environmental (usually referred to as triple) factors is sustainable development, economic growth, or eco-city (also referred to as "ecocity." The work presents the assorted key dimensions of green cities and sustainable urban development with diverse perspectives on global scenarios so that detailed analytics can be done. By incorporating environmentally friendly materials and systems, getting better indoor air quality including using rational or high-efficiency street lights, it minimizes the impact of a building on its natural environment; moreover, those who work or live in these buildings benefit directly from these differences. As a result of the improved conditions, some homeowners have even reported increased productivity for workers. These advantages are more difficult to calculate than pure electricity savings, so conventional accounting approaches that do not consider 'external' urban so national expenses and rewards will potentially underestimate the true worth of high-performance buildings
Smart Meter Radiation
Smart meters are wireless, high-tech, digital communication devices that will replace the old, analog electricity meters and allowremote electricity readings. Smart meters emit electromagnetic radiation, like cell phones and other high-tech electronic devices.Like any other device that emits radio frequency radiation, smart meters have not been proven to cause health problems. Thispaper provides some ways of protecting yourself from RF radiation produced by smart meters
Pebble Morphometric Studies of Part of Bida Formation, Northern Bida Basin, North Central Nigeria
The Bida formation exposed in Doko locality, Bida town appeared Massive, poorly sorted with localized sedimentary structures. The formation shows three lithofacies: mf, ssf and sf respectively. The formation grades into more matured upward, the pebblesare found within the sf unit as lenses and as scattered pebbles. Vernier caliper was used to measure the Longest, intermediate and shortest axes that are mutually perpendicular for each pebble. These values were used to compute different morphometricparameters as a single variable including MPSI, OPI, FR, ER, R and CF. These parameters were also used as dependent variables in bivariate plots to characterize the depositional process. The average values of MPSI, OPI, FR, ER, and CF are: 0.64, 3.01,0.41, 0.63, 44.5 and 40.73 respectively. The ternary plot of the ratios of the three-axis showed that most samples fall within Bladed(B) field while some other few on Elongate(E) Field, the plot of MPSI versus OPI, FI versus MPSI and R versus ER. Both independent and dependent parameters showed that the Bida formation was deposited by both river and beach processes. Its therefore deduced that the fluvial deposits were later modified by marine activities, possibly during the transgression period
A New Mathematical Model for the Accurate Determination of Volatile Fatty Acids Concentration in Anaerobic Digesters
One of the key success factors for optimal management of anaerobic digestion reactors is to control the volatile fatty acids (VFA)production. This is justified to the extent that at a concentration greater than 3000 mg/l, VFA can inhibit the methanation process. In other words, their concentration is a reliable indicator of reactor stability or stress. Several analysis methods for these VFAhave been developed such as high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), gas chromatography (GC), colorimetry andvarious titration techniques. The titration technique offers several advantages: it is the simplest, least expensive, fastest, andaccessible to all countries, including developing countries where laboratory equipment’s are generally lacking. The titrationmethod can, therefore, be a useful tool if its reproducibility, precision and interpretation can be improved. The present studyfocused on the development and validation of a new simplified, the improved and accurate titrimetric method for the determination of VFA concentration, sufficiently close to chromatographic methods (GC or HPLC), considered as the goldreference method today. A mathematical model taking into account the main factors affecting the accuracy of VFA concentrationin anaerobic reactors (e.g chemical species, pH, temperature, ion activity coefficients) was developed. Its validation was carriedout using measurements on thirty-three different samples with this new titration method on the one hand and the gas chromatography (GC) method on the other hand. At 99% confidence interval, the VFA concentration determined using this newtitration method/mathematical model were close to those obtained by the GC method with a determination coefficient R2 of 0.97
Experimental Investigation of Phytodesalination Rate of Duckweed (Lemna Minor) in Brackish Water
Freshwater in most communities along estuaries such as the Niger Delta region of Nigeria is difficult to access as both thesurface and groundwater around it has a higher salinity than acceptable standards. Desalination plants are on the other hand, are energy-consuming and costly method to run. The researchers of this paper conducted an experimental investigation onphytodesalination rate of duckweed in brackish water. Approximately 100 g of morning glory were placed in a plastic troughcontaining 10 liters of brackish water (salinity 7.69 ppt) in three replicates and studied daily for 6 days. The experiment wasconducted to measure the treatment parameters of electrical conductivity (EC), pH, total dissolved solids (TDS) and salinity. Results showed that maximum reductions of most of the water parameters were observed after 3 days of the research. Therecorded phytodesalination rates were +0.072 ppt/g/day for EC, +47.8 ppt/g/day for TDS and +0.053 ppt/g/day for salinity. Also, the percentage reduction for EC, TDS and salinity were 16. 4 %, 16.3 % and 20.7 % respectively. The water hyacinth startedshowing signs of nutrient starvation and a reduced rate of desalination after 3 days. Analysis of variance show that there was no significant difference between the control and duckweed treatment means at 95 percent confidence level of the water parametersexcept for EC. This research can be optimized by continuously removing the spent duckweed and re-introducing fresh ones in 3days intervals until salinity is within the safe threshol
Image Encryption Using Modification Blowfish Algorithm
At present, the need for information security has become a necessity. Chaos is widely used in the cryptographic system as acryptographic keys generator. These keys are the most important component in the system because the security of the cryptographic system depends entirely on its quality. These values of chaos will be used as keys for blowfish instead of originalkeys in rounds. This modification algorithm with messy obtained, better and faster results, Where the average time, correlationand entropy to encryption five images respectively is 0.09, 7.9271and 0.10988
