Study of Stock Markets and Investor Behaviour: Case of the Casablanca Stock Exchange
The emergence of a new stream of research, behavioral finance, linking market behavior and human psychology, seeking to study cognitive biases related to investor behavior that are not explained by traditional financial theory, has opened up several avenues of research related to the behavior of stock market actors and their effects on stock markets. Our empirical study focuses, on the one hand, on the identification of the stock market crises that affected the Casablanca Stock Exchange during the period 2000-2020 and, on the other hand, on the measurement of investors' sentiment on the Moroccan stock market, to verify that the indicator of investors' sentiment is consistent with stock market crises and to find that investors' sentiment is at the origin of the Moroccan stock market crises as defined by Granger. This provides new evidence on the important role played by investor sentiment in the transmission of stock market crises
Software Fault Prediction Based on Interval Type-2 Intuitionistic Fuzzy Logic System
With the continuous expansion and innovations in modern software development, the rate at which defects are present in software is directly proportional to how sophisticated and complex the software tends to be. Software fault prediction, therefore, continues to remain an important area of research in software engineering especially as new modeling algorithms are still emerging. In spite of the fact that the potential implementations of fuzzy set theory in software fault prediction have been explored in the past, to the best knowledge of the authors, it has not yet examined how interval type-2 intuitionistic fuzzy sets with membership and non-membership degrees could be used with parameter optimization in this domain. Therefore, this work aims to adopt an interval type-2 intuitionistic fuzzy logic system to predict fault in the requirement phase of Software Development Life Cycle. Intuitionistic fuzzy logic system deals with uncertainty using separate degrees of membership and non-membership of an element to a set as well as hesitation index, therefore becoming more appropriate and flexible tool to deal with imprecision and vagueness in data. Experimental analyses show that the obtained prediction outputs are very close to the actual outputs which confirm that the proposed approach is a more realistic alternative for software fault prediction

Study of Influence of Cleanliness, Health, Safety & Environment Sustainability on Tourist to Revisit the Beaches of Indonesia
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of cleanliness (cleanliness), health (health), safety (security), environmental sustainability (environmental sustainability) on the interest in visiting again through the intervening variable the satisfaction of the tourists about their interest in tourism destinations Balekambang Beach. Malang Regency and identify the factors that influence cleanliness, health, safety, and environmental sustainability (CHSE). This research approach is quantitative research with descriptive approach study, where the primary data collection method uses the results of interviews with the management of the Balekambang Beach tourism destination, Malang Regency in Sumber Jambe Hamlet in Srigonco Village, Bantur District, Malang Regency, and also giving questionnaires to 100 respondents who was a visitor to Balekambang Beach during the implementation CHSEperiod through the media Google form. While the data analysis in this study using normality test, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, autocorrelation, and multiple linear regression test. The results in this study, namely, the variables of cleanliness, health, safety, environmental sustainability, have a positive and significant influence on tourist satisfaction. In contrast, the results for interest in visiting the show that the variables safety and health positively influence interest in visiting again. Although this is not the case for the variables of cleanliness and environment sustainability which have a positive but not significant effect on interest in revisiting. So based on these results, it can be studied that tourist satisfaction can mediate the influence between safety and health on interest and revisiting cleanliness and environment sustainability on interest with a note that tourist satisfaction must be guaranteed through increased innovation and quality of destinations in implementing revisiting CHSE. While the factors that influence the management of CHSE are visitor interest in adapting, the environment, the presence of unwanted events. Based on the study results, in practice, this study of the variable CHSE can be a significant innovation in moving the tourism sector in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic in reaching behavioral changes from tourists
Parameter Settings Optimization in MapReduce Big Data processing using the MOPSO Algorithm
Big data is a commodity that is highly valued in the entire globe. It is not just regarded as data but in the world of experts, we can derive intelligence from it. Because of its characteristics which are Variety, Value, Volume, Velocity, and the growing need of how it can be handled, Organizations are facing difficulties in ensuring optimal as well as affordable processing and storage of large datasets. One of the already existing models used for rapid processing together with storage in big data is known as Hadoop MapReduce. MapReduce is used for large-scale data processing in a parallel and distributed computing environment, while Hadoop is used for running applications and storing data in clusters of commodity hardware Furthermore, the Hadoop MapReduce framework needs to tune more than 190 configuration parameters which are mostly done manually. Due to complex interactions and large spaces between parameters, manual tuning is not effective. Even worse, these parameters must be tuned every time Hadoop MapReduce applications are run. The main goal of this research is to create an algorithm that will improve efficiency by automatically optimizing parameter settings when MapReduce jobs are running. The algorithm employs the Multi-Objective Particle Swarm Optimization (MOPSO) technique, which uses two objective functions to look for a Pareto optimal solution while optimizing the parameters. The results of the experiments have shown that the algorithm has remarkably improved MapReduce job performance in comparison to the use of default settings
Enhancing the Teaching and Learning of Computer Programming using Collaborative Method of Delivery
Teaching and learning methodologies in modern times are gradually changing and is no longer an art of transferring knowledge. It has become an enterprise to develop critical thinking, create positive interaction and collaboration among learners. In order to build good and successful computer programmers, the Collaborative teaching and learning method remains the best method of delivery. The population for this study consists of NCE I, II and III students from the Department of Computer Science Education of Aminu Saleh College of Education Azare, Bauchi State and 10 lecturers from the same department and school. A sample of 80 students and 10 lecturers was used for this study. A well-structured questionnaire titled “Effects of Collaborative Teaching and Learning on programming” was used to collect data for the study. The questionnaire items were validated by experts in the field of statistics and it was also tested and retested for reliability. Data collected were analyzed using mean to answer the research questions. The study revealed that there are great benefits in using the collaborative methods in teaching and learning programming. Such benefits include improvement of students’ academic performance, creation of positive interaction among students, and development of critical thinking abilities among others. The study also found that there are challenges associated with collaborative learning such as the formation of groups, the challenge of monitoring the group activities at once considering the limited time for the class, etc. The study recommends the integration of collaborative learning by computer educators so as to assist students in mastering programming. It also recommends that computer educators be proactive in grouping students so as to avoid imbalance. This will encourage more enthusiastic and active involvement by the students
Structural and Legal Frameworks Guiding Multi-Agency Operations and Countering Terrorism in Kenya
Kenya has in the last decade been faced by a constant terror threat from al-Shabaab, ISIS and al Qaeda. This study sets out to assess the effects of structural and legal frameworks guiding multi-agency operations on countering terrorism in Kenya. The study questions were as follows: Are there existing or lack thereof of multi-agency strategic policies on coordination in response to international terrorism in Kenya? The study adopted mixed methods and exploratory research designs. The target population was all the members of the Kenya Defense Forces Special Operations Forces (KDF SoFs), the National Police Service (NPS) Recce squad, and ATPU Officers as well as policy level Military, Intelligence and Police Officers. The target population is estimated at 3400 personnel from which a sample of 97 was obtained. The used primary data collected from the respondents using mainly questionnaires and interviews as well as secondary data that was obtained from library-based research via books, e-books, journals, government publications, and published thesis, among other reputable academic publications. The data collected from questionnaires were analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 24. The findings were presented in descriptive statistics, tables, graphs, charts and inferential statistics. On its part, data from interviews were analyzed thematically based on the objectives so as to establish the key themes and trends from which findings, conclusions, and recommendations were drawn. The study findings make it manifest that the existence of structural and legal frameworks guiding multi-agency operations on countering terrorism in Kenya had led to effective response through standardizations of operation guidelines, better sharing of information, joint training and exchange of best practices among the various responders. This was evidenced in the Dusit D2 Attack in which synchronization of operations showed better response to the attack by the various operational and tactical teams as compared to the Westgate Attack. The study recommends that there is need for multinational frameworks for undertaking financing and creation of joint information infrastructure for security agencies so as to reign in on international terrorism in the East African Region
Thermo physical Properties of a Sun Dried Clay Brick Moulded with Cement and Neem Leaves Ash as Additives
Neem tree (Azadiractaindica) popularly known as “Dogonyaro” is very common in Nigeria, more especially in the northern part of the country. The problem of the neem leaves waste, make the leaves to be burnt into ashes, however burning the leaves does not solve the waste problem completely. The problem of waste disposal and the cost of cement in the brick molding for building led to this study on the thermophysical properties of clay brick molded with cement and neem leaves ash. The mixture of clay, cement and Neem leaves ash at varying proportion (100% clay, 30% cement, 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% Neem leaves ash) was loaded into a wood mould compartment, manually tamped, leveled, and also shade cured for 5, 13, 19, 26 and 33 days. The results showed that when Neem leaves ash content is 10% (20% cement), the highest average compressive strength of 1.50 Nmm-2 at 33 curing days was obtained, when Neem leaves ash content is also 10% (20% cement) the highest modulus of the rapture of 0.71 Nmm-2 at 12 curing days was obtained when Neem leaves ash content is 20% (10% cement), the highest water absorption of 16.1% at 5 days of curing was obtained when Neem leaves ash content is 5% (25% cement) , the highest initial rate of absorption of 1.43 kg m-2min-1 at 5 curing days was obtained, when 0% Neem leaves ash (30% cement), the highest density of 2.843 kg. mm-3 was obtained, also when Neem leaves content is 10% (20% cement) of 2 cm thickness, the highest thermal conductivity of 164.45 wm-1k-1 at 6 minutes of 26 days was obtained. This shows that Neem leaves ash as partial replacements of cement in clay bricks possess better reliability and workability in both the physical and thermal properties of clay bricks.
Preparation, Characterization and Antimicrobial Studies of Cu (II) and Mn (II) Complexes with Schiff Base Derived from Benzaldehyde and 2,4-Dinitrophenylhydrazine
Two series of Cu(II) and Mn(II) complexes were prepared by refluxing ethanolic solution of their salts with Schiff base obtained from benzaldehyde and 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine into a 1:2 ratio. The prepared compounds were characterized by solubility, molar conductance, and infrared analysis. The complexes show low molar conductance values suggesting non-electrolytic nature. The Schiff ligand and its metal (II) complexes were found to be active against four isolates of bacteria (Salmonella bongori, Streptococcus pyogenes, Staphylococcus aureus and Shingella dysenteriae)
Brix and Alcohol Content Monitoring using Wireless Sensor Network
Fermentation process plays an important role in the production of wine and beer, as these ferments convert Brix (sugar) into alcohol. Thus fermentation plays a key role in beer production hence monitoring entire activities is essential to breweries. As such, this project aimed to monitor the by-products of fermentation processes which are Brix (Sugar concentration) and Alcohol in order to improve the Quality of alcohol. Different stages of fermentation produce different Brix and alcohol percentages by volume. A system using wireless communication protocol is proposed where sensor node readings are transferred to a centralized station for monitoring and visualization. The sampling technique used was Non-probability purposive due to the fact that information gathered was important to contribute to better understand the problem by gathering information from the right personnel in the field of study. Through this approach, it is a perfect application of IoT and Wireless Sensor Network solution which has been achieved and provides advantages to the brewery industry. Moreover, the transfer of real-world processes to a digital world has been made possible which allows optimizing these processes. Through the project study, a simple and automated method with good accuracy was developed for estimating Brix and alcohol content during the fermentation process
