Analysis of Factors for the Uncorrelated Relationship between the Broadband Internet Initiatives against Broadband Adoption for Rural Areas in Low and Middle-Income Countries: A Case of Tanzania
As evident as the contribution of broadband internet in developed countries’ economies has been, many developing countries have taken initiatives to exploit the same. However, the efforts are not reflected in the rural areas broadband adoption as reported by global Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs’) ranking bodies. This study aims to analyze the factors towards the uncorrelated relationship between the broadband initiatives against broadband adoption in rural parts of Low Middle-Income Countries (LMICs) looking from the supply side, exemplified here by Tanzania. The initiatives considered are National ICT Broadband Backbone (NICTBB) and Universal Communication Service Access Fund (UCSAF). The study deployed a Qualitative Research Method (QRM) exploiting semi-structured interviews for data collection. 23 interviews were conducted with personnel from the aforementioned entities together with their collaborating agencies. Thematic analysis was opted where vigorous coding and data cleaning resulted in five themes characterizing poor broadband adoption; infrastructure, affordability, digital skills, contents’ relevance and services, and statistical reporting. The majority of the response (84%) agreed that the ranks reflect what is found on the ground hence more work is needed from the supply side on enforcing adoption in rural areas. Nevertheless, 16% of the coded responses maintain a view that improper statistical reporting due to statistical model mismatch and data unavailability from local statistical agencies to some extent causes the poor adoption ranks in the global ranking bodies. This article should provide insights to policymakers towards creating/improving and implementation of broadband plans/policies, and as a result, exploiting broadband contribution to countries’ Gross Domestic Product (GDP)

This is not just a flow chart; it is a comprehensive research-tackling-guide-model that directs the researcher where to go, what next to do or achieve at any point on the schematic research diagram. Most researchers get confused on what to do, even at the point of discovering the knowledge and research gap. This work paves the way on how the researcher should begin the research work from the start point to the finish point.  
A mathematical Model to assess the Role of Neglected Control Techniques in the Dynamics of Banana Xanthomonas Wilt Disease
Banana Xanthomonas Wilt disease (BXW) is a destructive bacterial disease that highly threatens banana production in East and Central Africa. It is caused by a bacteria known as. In this paper, a mathematical model for the dynamics and control of BXW disease is formulated and analyzed. Numerical simulations were performed to examine the impact of participatory community education programs, clearance of Xcm bacteria in the soil, single diseased stem removal, and vertical transmission control strategies. It was found that participatory community farming education programs, timely removal of infected banana plants, clearance of Xcm bacteria in the soil dramatically reduce the number of secondary infections hence greatly contributing to the control of the BXW disease. The study recommends that, along with the existing control measures such as sterilization of farming tools, timely removal of the male bud using a forked stick and planting healthy suckers, more emphasis should be invested in educating farmers on disease detection and management strategies and increasing the rate of clearing Xcm bacteria in the soil so as to avoid persistence of the disease in the farms
Tourism SMEs usage of Social Media Analytics as their Business Intelligence Tool
This study delivers the results of the survey conducted to investigate the tourism SMEs' usage of social media analytics as their business intelligence tool. The study uses the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) model to investigate the usage of SMA to tourism SMEs. 71 tourism SMEs were interviewed in Arusha and Kilimanjaro regions by filling the semi-structured questionnaires, then followed by the data analysis using MS excel and Python. The results of the findings show that the usage of social media analytics as a business intelligence tool for tourism SMEs is beneficial to them, however, findings show very few tourism SMEs are conducting social media analytics on their social media platforms. Most tourism SMEs use built-in social media analytics and they are performing simple metrics like counting the number of likes, comments, and shares. Further results explain that the majority of the tourism SMEs don't have more information and knowledge about social media analytics and tools used to perform social media analytics as well as they are performing social media analytics without following any implementation framework to guide the process. The study recommends that social media stakeholders increase awareness of social media analytics to tourism SMEs so that they could use it and get more advantages of using social media. Furthermore, researchers information systems analysts and developers develop social media analytics tools specifically for tourism SMEs and provide them step-by-step procedures that will help them in using and managing the social media analytics activities. 
Study of Employee Commitment and Resource Utilization in Oil and Gas Companies in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria
The objective of this research is to investigate employee commitment and resource utilization of oil companies in Port Harcourt. The correlational survey design was adopted for the study. The researchers collected ample number of sample and data, which was analyzed using statistical methods. It was found from the analyses that significant relationship existed between affective commitment and time minimization; continuous commitment and cost minimization; normative commitment and waste minimization. The study concluded that in organizational milieu where affective commitment, continuous commitment and normative commitment existed, time minimization, cost minimization and waste minimization are enhanced in oil and gas companies in Port Harcourt. Based on the study, the researchers briefed that, employees should be well paid to achieve cost minimization and where policy adherence were strongly enforced, only enacted roles and not expected roles should be expected from workers
Experimental Study of effect of Powder Coating thickness and layers on Hardness and Corrosion properties of Carbon Steel Material
Powder coating is one of the coating techniques that are widely used today as a substitute for coating using liquid painting. In this research, we report on the effect of the various layers of powder coating on the hardness and corrosion rate of the material. Three different layers of variation were observed with 1, 2, and 4 layers to obtain the best results. The cleaning process was applied before coating the samples. The coating process was performed in a special room/box to avoid contact with air and contamination from the outside environment with a spraying distance of about 20-30 cm. The morphology is compact and bigger grains are seen to be emerging in the 1 layer deposition. Many grains are visible, and uniform grains are distributed in the 2 layers deposited. For the 4 layers, due to higher layer deposition incorporation, the grain size is seen to be enlarged due to the merging of smaller grains with each other ultimately increasing the grain size. The uncoated material has a corrosion rate of 0.505 mm/year which means fair for the relative corrosion resistance. The coated samples have a corrosion rate of 0.353, 0.252, and 0.354 mm/year for the 1 layer, 2 layers, and 4 layers, respectively. Based on the calculation, the average number of the Rockwell hardness of un-coated and coated samples for the 1 layer, 2 layers, and 4 layers, respectively were estimated at about 70, 78, 79, and 58 HRB, respectively. The highest average hardness value is in sample B with 2 layers of 79 HRB. The lowest average hardness value is in sample B with 2 layers of 58 HRB. The lowest performance of sample D with 4 layers confirms the result as shown in the corrosion rate result
A review of the Development Trend of Personalized learning Technologies and its Applications
Personalized learning tailors material and strategy to student requirements, interests, and goals in e-learning. These developments help educational institutions and other organizations to keep up with the fast pace of information technology, communications, and computing power. Studies show that self-adaptive learning and relevant learning information improve study efficiency. Compared to traditional teaching methods, the practice of online education is well in its infancy. On the other hand, the pedagogy and evaluation of students in online courses have a large gap that has to be filled, necessitating significant improvements in e-learning. We call this approach to education "personalized learning," which is a central focus of today's leading online education platforms. Several studies have been conducted on e-learning and personalized learning, but few investigated the development trend of personalized learning technologies and applications. Therefore this study examines the literature to close the gap and promote the development trend for personalized learning technologies and applications in higher education from 2010 to 2021 by analyzing related journal articles. The pivotal studies used inclusion criteria after a search generated 372 complete research articles and reduced them to 146 publications based on their proposed learning domains and research themes. Through carefully reviewing current trends and successes in numerous aspects of personalized learning, this discussion analyzes prospective future research directions in the field of personalized learning
Geophysical and Borehole Studies for Optimum Drilling Depth and Groundwater Yields in a Typical Basement Terrain, South-western Nigeria
This study embraced the integration of 20 vertical electrical sounding (VES) and 15 borehole log datasets to determine optimum drilling depth and yields of boreholes in part of Akungba - Akoko, southwestern Nigeria. Resistivity soundings interpretation was aided by borehole litho-geologic information. Results revealed line-to-line correlation of three-five distinct subsurface geological/geoelectrical profiles to include; the topsoil, sandy/clayey weathered/partially weathered basement, fractured basement/ fresh basement. The thickness and resistivity of the weathered basement column ranged between 1.9 - 15.8 m and 26 - 579 ohm-m respectively. Regoliths, with a mean thickness of 9.97 m (approximately 10 m), constituted thin aquitards developed on the basement. The combination of regoliths and the near–surfaced interbedding multiple thin layers of the fractured basement up to 30 m depths gave lower yields of less than 1.0 l/s to shallow boreholes. These drilled depths were those constrained at the instance of the poor index of lithologies exhibited by the sounding results, thus rendering the thin fractured beds undifferentiated from the thick resistive basement. Depths for high groundwater yields of 1.15 – 2.56 l/s were recorded for deeper borehole depths of 46 - 70 m, with a mean of 55.3 m. It can therefore be concluded that optimum groundwater yields not less than 2.0 l/s were recorded for boreholes that took full advantage of the weathered lithology and structures at deeper depths of 60 - 65 m. The study further asserts that beyond the mean depth of 55.3 m, the deposits become more compacted, low fracture density with groundwater yields wholly retarded, thereby leaving the optimum drilling depth to 70 m, as the target of most groundwater prospects for optimum yields of deeper boreholes in the area
A Comparative Study of Assistive Technologies for Physically challenged peoples for usability of Powered Wheelchair Mobility Aid
Physical disabilities have always been a big issue in our communities. Ageing, sickness, and other variables have all had a role in the creation of these issues. That is why Powered wheelchairs were designed to aid people with physical disabilities. Wheelchair users have been exposed to a variety of assistive technologies designed to improve their mobility. As a result, different assistive technologies have recently played a significant role in assisting wheelchair users with movement, this is because technology changes so quickly. The recent trendy of assistive technologies include the joystick, brain-computer interface, voice recognition, tongue drive system, eye tracer, and sip and puff. However, some of the most beneficial assistive technologies become difficult to utilize due to technological gaps among individuals in particular nations. The objective of this research is to study and review the comparative study of these assistive technologies for Physical Disabilities. In the study, tongue drive system, eye tracer, voice recognition, and sip and puff technologies are compared to joystick assistive technology. The comparison is made based on selected parameters including usability commands, fatigue, response time, information transfer rate, effects, and costs. Based on the review, the researchers propose the design of appropriate wheelchairs with assistive technology for developing countries

This study aims to describe and to analyze social rehabilitation services for the visually impaired at Technical Implementation Unit for Social Rehabilitation Bina Netra Malang.
The research is also aims to analyze at inhibiting and supporting factors for implementing social rehabilitation services at Technical Implementation Unit for Social Rehabilitation Bina Netra Malang. This study uses a qualitative research method, which seeks information based on interviews, observations, and documentation to describe the state of the object of research based on facts in the field, which aims to find the correct facts and data, analyzed through data reduction data verification, and concluding. Technical Implementation Unit for Social Rehabilitation Bina Netra Malang or commonly called UPT RSBN.
The study results illustrate that the mechanism of social rehabilitation services at UPT RSBN includes several stages, which start from the initial approach, disclosure, and understanding of the problem, service program planning, service implementation, and post-service mechanisms. The particular procedure for social rehabilitation services at UPT RSBN Malang has three activities regulated by existing standards: mental guidance, social guidance, social guidance, and physical guidance. The coordination system for social rehabilitation services at UPT RSBN Malang is carried out through 2 methods: a structural and cross-sectoral coordination system. The communication system for social rehabilitation services at UPT RSBN Malang is built with all lines ranging from structural-functional officials, social workers, caregivers, instructors, and all components of the orphanage. The East Java Provincial Budget fully supports the budget support system for social rehabilitation services at UPT RSBN Malang.
