    Get PDF
The growing use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the healthcare sector underscores the urgent need for effective data management and security measures. Among the primary systems used for medical data management is the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). While PACS provides a robust framework for storing and retrieving medical images, security and data integrity remain significant concerns, particularly in the age of cloud computing. This paper aims to propose a secure algorithm for managing cloud-based PACS following the Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) standards. It explores various PACS attack models, develops a novel vendor-neutral (VNA) architecture, and introduces a hybrid cryptographic scheme integrating linear feedback shift registers (LFSR) with the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES). The proposed model is then evaluated for security performance, providing potential solutions to persistent security challenges within the healthtech industry

    Get PDF
This paper presents the development of a mathematical model for tractive effort and acceleration of a small electric motor vehicle/car which is propelled by a permanent magnet direct current (PMDC) motor. The proposed vehicle acceleration model is obtained from torque-speed characteristics of the (PMDC) motor. The model is simple and it has only two vehicle parameters Ka, Kv. The vehicle parameters used in simulation are predetermined considering floor slopes. The acceleration model is simulated in MATLAB for various floor slopes and simulation performance results are presented for the vehicle that is moving on floors like flat, upslope, downslope, etc. The vehicle parameters Ka and kv are determined with consideration of various forces that are acting on the vehicle when it is moving on different slopes. These parameters can be used in mobile robot or automated guided vehicle (AGV) navigation and also for prediction of the vehicle pat

Design and Development of Biosensors Based on Nano Tube Tunnel Field Effect Transistor

    Get PDF
Tunnel Field Effect Transistor (TFET) is gaining recognition and provide solution for Integrated Circuit (IC) design with low power. This is due to TFET's carrier transportation scheme, which utilizes inter-band tunneling of carriers, and its fabrication similarity to MOSFET. TFET presents itself as a widely adopted device structure that can overcome the limitations of MOSFETs. However, TFETs suffer from poor DC and Radio Frequency (RF) performance, mainly due to minority carrier transport and physical doping, which forms an abrupt junction in nanoscale devices due to RDFs. The junction-less device structure presents a viable solution to these issues without sacrificing DC parameters, even at high-frequency. Furthermore, the nanotube structure of TFET effectively reduces the Subthreshold Swing (SS) and leakage current due to better controllability of channel. The gate-all-around structure of nanotube TFET improves the surface potential distribution over the channel region, not only enhancing the DC characteristics of TFET but also improving the high-frequency parameters. The core gate Nano Tube (NT)-TFET is a promising device structure for exploring its application in the field of biomedical science as a biosensor. The proposed core gate nanotube structure provides a larger surface area for immobilizing biomolecules in the cavity, thus improving sensitivity analysis. This work proposes the utility of a novel core gate NT-TFET as a biosensor for detecting label-free biomolecules and DNAs. In this design, the detection capability of biosensor is improved, and the detection processes are investigated by high-frequency parameters of the proposed twin cavity dual metal NT-TFET biosensor. This study demonstrates the sensitivity analysis of biosensor based on transit time and device efficiency, which are two critical high-frequency parameters. This approach results in a biosensor with a lower annealing budget, making it more cost-effective and with comparatively higher sensitivity

Process planning of Door Handle Component Manufacturing Process at PT. Pindad Engineering Indonesia

    Get PDF
Pindad Enjiniring Indonesia has a make-to-order strategy so that in its activities, it has production activities that are different from the parameters of the machining process. These parameters are taken in manufacturing Release Plate, Carrier Arm, and Padlock components in front door handle projects that were previously made using conventional machines with process planning charged to the operator. This shows that in PT. Pindad Enjiniring Indonesia has no communication between engineering and operators. To overcome these issues, a methodology was carried out that is tailored to particular needs. The methodology uses process planning technology with outputs of working plans with tools to facilitate the production process. The final result of this study was in the form of a working plan document that can be a solution to facilitate communication between the engineering departments with the operator. Thus, the machining/ production time can be significantly reduced to reach the optimum time

    Get PDF
Environmental issues have recently emerged as an essential topic of discussion on a global scale. Actions to protect and preserve the environment should be addressed, which causes several problems such as water and air pollution, soil degradation, forest destruction, and diversion of agricultural land. Economic goals are given higher priority than other goals, such as environmental and community goals, in national development strategies and programs. The "green economy" concept is a solution to the sustainable concept to overcome the above challenges. Thus, this paper attempts to build a sustainable economic model based on research from various scientific sources. The indicators presented in this paper can help advise regional policymakers to continue progressing and developing according to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) pillars. This study uses the Ward Hierarchical Clustering method. The first cluster is the provinces of Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra, which also interpret that the performance of implementing a green economy in related areas based on environmental quality is very good. The second cluster is East Java, South Sumatra, and South Sulawesi, which indicates that the performance of the implementation of a green economy in related areas based on environmental quality is quite good. Then the third cluster is West Java, which interprets that the performance of implementing a green economy in related areas based on environmental quality still needs attention from the local government. It is known that 97.06% of Indonesia's territory has implemented a green economy in related areas based on very good environmental quality. &nbsp

Today global warming affects all environments including coastal marine environments. Climate change also affects the development and proliferation of phytoplankton groups often leading to the massive production of phytoplankton groups in marine waters. It is with this in mind that the study on the determination of phytoplankton groups from optical properties in Ivorian marine waters was initiated. This study showed a great diversity of phytoplankton in the Ivorian marine domain during the years 2010 and 2020. The data used in these studies are geospatial data (remote sensing) of the optical properties of the oceans, in particular the IOPs (inherent optical properties). These are the fusion data from the various SeaWiFS, MODIS, MERIS, VIIRS sensors from 2010 to 2020 from the various OrbView 2, NOAA, ENVISAT and AQUA satellites, in particular the absorption coefficient data for dissolved and detrital matter at 443 nm (adg ), phytoplankton absorption coefficient data at 443 nm (aph), and dissolved and detrital particulate backscatter coefficient data at 443 nm (bbp). For the processing of these data the pixel-oriented classification method was used for the identification of phytoplankton groups. The SeaDAS v 7.4 software, allowed to process and analyze the data and the Envi 5.3 software allowed to perform the data classification. The values of inherent optical properties (IOPs) were obtained as well as the spatial distribution of phytoplankton groups, thus allowing the production of maps of IOPs and the production of spatio-temporal distribution maps of cyanobacteria and diatom
