Changing Perspectives of Nigeria Political Development: From militarism to incumbency and godfatherism
Nigeria is one of the neo colonial and developing nations of the third world. The military ruled Nigeria between 1966 to 1979; 1984 to 1999. Military dominance in Nigeria politics has in no small measure impacted negatively on the politicaldevelopment of Nigeria. Therefore political development of Nigeria has been going at a snail speed not only due to frequent military incursion in government but also due to many other impediments which include ethnicity, incumbency politics, tenure elongation, godfatherism and poor political orientation The paper which is theoretical and persuasive examined all these factors critically and recommended among other things that National Assembly should pass a law to make elective office a single tenure. The economy of Nigeria should be organized to make it more productive and also to devise a vision of society within which each person can reasonably perceive that equity and social justice are firmly on the national agenda. To eradicate ethnic politics in Nigeria efforts should bemade towards equitable distribution of social, political and economic gains of the polity. Finally efforts should be made to enforce the section of the constitution that dwelt on the formation of political parties that are devoid of ethnicity

Balochistan (From Strategic Significance to US Involvement)
Balochistan is the largest province of Pakistan in terms of landmass and is the least literate. It became a part of Pakistan, when the British withdrawal took place on August 14, 1947 yet got the status of province after 23 years in 1972. Needless to say that it has been overlooked since the British rule. But it isimportant to note that the location of Balochistan, connecting Iranian Plateau with South East Asia, Central Asia to its long coast line in the shores of the Arabian Sea, makes it geographically an important place. In the recent months, Balochistan has come into limelight in the international media and the resistance movements have risen to the extent where the Baloch are demanding liberation and separation. It is very much evident that the geo-policies of Balochistan, internal contradictions in Baloch society, state response and the foreign hand have aggravated the problems in the province. This paper is an attempt to focus on the strategic significance of Balochistan and how does it provide an opportunity to Baloch nationalists in order to deal with big superpowers for the liberation of the country. The paper aims at discussing, the real factors behind the US interest in Balochistan and how the foreign involvement can be stopped, particularly at a time when it has reached at the brink of separation

Its fragmented society is a majorhurdle in the way of its nation building and state formation. With its multi-ethnic and multi-linguistic groups, it is a complicated country on the global map. Inthis situation, it can be imagined that the internal peace is linked with the lowest credibility of the Afghan warlords, unpopular and corrupt leadership, and thecenturies old traditional legacy. Political Legacy of the Muslims in India: An Overview
The Indian constitution was drawn from the different sources of the world's constitution i.e. USA, Australia, Canada and Great Brittan. There was the only objective how to unite different kinds of people in united India. In fact constitution provides privileges and comforts to her masses so that all the minorities of India can take breath under the Indian constitution. It is true that the Indian constitution provides protection to the Muslims and other minorities but practice is altogether different. The political status of the Muslims in India seems almost very bleak. Representation in the central and promotional states, political party, method of elections and state policies of Indian government can determine the political status of the Muslims and others minorities. The role of press is also worthwhile in attaining the true picture of the Indian Muslims. The objective of the study is open, to explore the socio economic and political status of the Muslims through facts and figures and strong evidences. The study concludes that in the post-independence context, the Muslim elites (politicians, social activists, religious leaders, academics, and journalists) believe that antiMuslim violence is planned and executed to render Muslims economically and socially crippled and as a final outcome of that economic and social backwardness, assimilate them into the lower rungs of Hindu society
China’s military presence in Africa: Implications for Africa’s wobbling peace
This paper surveys the military aspect of the age-long interaction between China and Africa, and how it impacts the peace of Africa. Issues that border on China-Africa relations have no doubt gained currency in academic discourses centering mainly on trade, and economic related factors. But the military dimensions of the relationship, especially China’s military involvement in Africa are passing with minimal scholarly attention, yet needing examination. Within the general ambit of China’s expanding engagement in Africa, this paper discusses the military factor. It historically contextualizes China-African military links, and argues that China’s continued arms sales to Africa’s problem areas, cynical military relations and support to rogue and blood-thirst regimes, and her double-dealing peacekeeping roles in Africa, do not help the peace condition of Africa’s wobbling state

Role of Media in Internal Security of Pakistan
Media‟s immense power to shape perceptions and influence policymaking has made it an important instrument of statecraft. People and governments are affected by its everlasting psychological power, making media a corporate industry to be sued by its financer; governments and individuals. The emergence of private electronic media in Pakistan has provided the much-needed „other view‟ but at the same time has sensationalized the news content and overblown the security threats. In fact media is often accused of inflaming and aggravating the internal security environment in Pakistan. However, without denying the importance of media, it has to perform its role with more responsibility and maturity to bring peace and stability in the country
