Semantic Sysytem of Faiz' Imprisoned Poetry
Poetry of Faiz Ahmad Faiz has all the qualities of great and sublime poetry. The poetry he created during his imprisonment was an impressive synthesis of effects of classical and contemporary poetry. The poetry produced in prison evolved in such a way that 'Nazm' and 'Ghazal' came closer to each other. Like love, prison proved to be a kind of grand experience for Faiz which provoked new thoughts. The poetry produced during days of his imprisonment forms almost two third part of his whole work. He used poetic diction, similes, metaphors and other poetic elements with addition of new meanings to them. His work depicts the troubles of imprisonment and it expressed the strong spirit of patriotism too. In his poetry the subjects related to social and political life are reflected through portrayal of human feelings and passions. Description of love and other incidents of life are also part and parcel of his poetry

Al-Hassan bin Muhammad al-Sagani
Al-Hassan bin Muhammad al-Sagani was distinguished Islamic scholar of medieval times. He is little known to Urdu world.In his remarkable book Albab, he investigated the vocabulary and documented some rare sources, and distinguished what was in the language dictionaries from the hadith, and in this approach he is not imitating one of the authors of the compilations that were written before him, but He reviewed their collections and relied on the most authentic narratives, choosing the sayings of trusted masters, citing the names of the Arab horses and their swords, their spots and their lands, their lightning and their circuits, their knights and their poets, citing the poems on health. Maulana Zafar Ali Khan( 1873---1956) was an epoch-making personality who rendered his services in the fields of journalism, poetry and translations. Besides his literary endeavours, he played a pivotal role in the Khilafat Movement. He contributed in this historical movement as a mainstream leader and collected a sum of money to help the Turks, during their trying times. The Tradition of Short Story in Arabic Literature
Arabic literature is one of the oldest as well as the richest literatures of the world. It dates back to the pre Islamic period. It was basically in verse form and was transmitted orally from one generation to the other. Since the Arab land was barren and short of sources, the Arabs had to struggle hard to make both ends meet. It is in this perspective that oral tradition of Arabic literature flourished. It contained all tinge of literature though mainly in verse. The Arabs got acquainted with the form of story when stories from other languages were translated in Arabic. Modern day concept of short story is novel to Arabic literature. Elements of Dialogue in Urdu Ghazal are of much importance. It is theway of expression through which one can convince someone in a well-versed manner. Dialogue is often used as a tool of Novel, Drama, and Fiction but in Urdu and Persian poetry, it has been assimilated in different genres.
