    Get PDF
The Municipality of Laktaši belongs to a group of developed municipalities of the Republic of Srpska. Its development, in addition to the favorable traffic-geographic position and large natural resources, is also determined by noticeable anthropogenic activities that often lead to pollution of the environment. The analysis and assessment of the existing state of environment in the Laktaši municipality represents the basis for its protection and improvement of quality as well as for planning the development of future activities in accordance with sustainable development. Different sources of pollution of the environment are recognized in this area, some of which have significant impacts on the immediate and wider environment. The state of the environment in the work is presented by individual elements (air, water, soil), and the problem of noise and waste is also presented. The article also lists protected natural resources, protection measures are proposed and environmental quality classification was carried out in order to determine the priorities in stopping further degradation of the studied area

Existing state of exploration of hydrogeothermal potentials and the possibility of their use in the territory of Bogatić municipality

    Get PDF
Geothermal, that is, hydrogeothermal energy is an important resource that can contribute to the energy independence of the state. In the conditions of the modern energy crisis, renewable natural resources based on hydrogeothermal potential are invaluable. The municipality of Bogatić, as part of Mačva, is one of the most promising hydrogeothermal sites in Europe. The main reservoir of low mineralization geothermal waters consists of karstic Triassic limestone and dolomite. In the main reservoir, it is realistic to expect water temperatures up to 100°C which can be used for heating purposes, in agriculture and aquaculture, industry, for balneotherapy, sports, recreation, and electricity production. Socio-economic, technical and technological and ecological advantages are numerous in comparison to other sources of energy. Considering that this is a region that has significant land potential, the production of food, primarily vegetable in greenhouses, based on the use of thermal energy, should be a priority for the whole region and the municipality of Bogatić

The importance of regions in geographical research

    Get PDF
The history of the 20th century was marked by the evolution of the concept of a region that has undergone various formulations, as well as rejections. Different authors define the region as a natural, human, historical, cultural, as well as economic reality. The notion of the region is multifaceted because the region makes a complex interconnection between different geographical, economic, cultural, political and other factors. In certain approaches, the region is viewed as a concrete fact, in other approaches, the region is only a theoretical fact, namely the creativity of the human spirit. Regions are often studied as a product of the interaction of individuals or social groups in different economic, political, and cultural contexts. Regionalization establishes the regions as administrative and political units within the national state. Consequently, regionalization implies decentralization, as it transfers the part of the authorities from the national to the regional level. The forms of the regional structure depend on the historical, geographical, political, and cultural specifics of the territory. From the aspect of the region, regionalization contributes to its affirmation and preservation of regional specifics, primarily cultural, but also of various interests - social, economic, political, etc. From the aspect of the state as a superior entity, regionalization contributes to the achievement of a balanced development of the region and more efficient connection of state authorities to the local one. These two aspects of regionalization should be compatible, but in practice this does not usually come about

Weekend tourism and unplanned construction in Deliblato Sands

    Get PDF
On sites of former Deliblato Sands' vineyards, the present-day weekend settlements have been built. Devojački bunar is the most frequently visited one among them and it has the longest and the most significant touristic tradition which includes the largest number of weekend homes for resting and recreation (even 1.392, according to the latest registration). Considering the special quality and ecological significance of Deliblato Sands that enable development of numerous selectable forms of tourism (among which is the weekend tourism), it is necessary to reflect about the factors that are the bases of touristic movements: those are attractiveness, accessibility and residing conditions of the site itself. This paper treats the problem of interconnection of unplanned (illegal) construction of weekend homes (meaning dwelling conditions) and development of weekend tourism, together with a given overview of the existing weekend settlements in the territory of five municipalities that have a share in Special Nature Reserve (SNR) 'Deliblato Sands'. A comparative analysis has been used, based on the data gathered from Republic Statistical Office of Serbia for the registration periods of 1981-2011

Функционално урбани региони Републике Србије у просторном планирању

    No full text

    Get PDF

Sustainable rural development in Serbia - relationship between population dynamicss and environment

    No full text
In this paper the relationship between populatiOn and the environment, and their influence on rural sustainability in Serbia, using quantitative typology of rural areas will be examined. The typology is based on the net relative change of population in rural areas in Serbia, according to the difference between the number of inhabitants at the end of the studied period (2011) and a hypothetical population that each rural settlement would have if the population in base year (1961) was changed proportionally to the change of total rural population. Research results indicate types of population dynamics of rural areas with different scale and intensity of environmental degradation: progressive type with favorable human and economic potentials, strong urban influence and huge environmental transformation; stagnant type with advanced agricultural and demographic dimension which imposed pressures to the natural environment; regressive type with heterogeneous demographic, social and economic features, and different impacts on natural and social environment, and dominant regressive type of rural areas highly characterised by the deficient in human and economic potential and preserved natural resources. Based on analysed rural particularities it can be concluded that the different human, environmental and economic potentials and obstacles of determined types of rural areas should be the starting point in defining appropriate sustainable strategies and development directions

Stark Widths of Na IV Spectral Lines

    Get PDF
Sodium is a very important element for the research and analysis of astrophysical, laboratory, and technological plasmas, but neither theoretical nor experimental data on Stark broadening of Na IV spectral lines are present in the literature. Using the modified semiempirical method of Dimitrijevi and Konjevi, here Stark widths have been calculated for nine Na IV transitions. Na IV belongs to the oxygen isoelectronic sequence, and we have calculated Stark widths belonging to singlets, triplets, and quintuplets, as well as with different parent terms. This is used to discuss similarities within one transition array with different multiplicities and parent terms. Additionally, calculated widths will be implemented in the STARK-B database (http://stark-b.obspm.fr) which is also a part of the Virtual Atomic and Molecular Data Center (VAMDChttp://www.vamdc.org/)

Land degradation analysis of mine-impacted zone of Kolubara in Serbia

    No full text
This paper presents the effect of land-use changes on land degradation by utilization of remote sensing methods and the Gavrilovic erosion potential method, due to surface mining activities in the period 2001-2011. Studied area includes the zone of influence of the Rudarski basen Kolubara, which covers the exploitation area of the Kolubara coal basin in the Republic of Serbia. The analysis is based on the processing of Landsat 5 satellite images from 2001 and 2011. In the analysis of satellite images, the supervised classification method was used. The results suggest that the observed spatial-temporal area is exposed to erosion as a result of land-use changes. Preliminary conclusion is that the dominant anthropogenic factor, responsible for changes in land use, is pronounced through the mining activity, industrialization, construction as well as agricultural activities. Very small changes in land use that occurred in the period 2001-2010 have led to relatively small amount of change from the aspect of land degradation. Also, due to the planned exploitation of the mine which included into account the sustainability of ecosystems, primarily through appropriate conservation measures, RB Kolubara is not in danger of a possible erosion processes that could undermine the stability of the basin
