Cloud Computing in Healthcare - Investigation of Threats, Vulnerabilities, Future Challenges and Counter Measure
The use of cloud computing has gradually increased over the last decade. Healthcare provision has become more scalable, efficient, and effective through the cloud-based healthcare paradigm. This flexibility of emerging computing services has opened many possibilities for health organizations that did not exist before. But with that, security and privacy concerns have also increased. With this massive rise and adoption of cloud architecture in healthcare, It's unclear how this paradigm shift is affecting the smart healthcare industry, which is varied, complicated, and distinctive. There is a need for auditing and evaluation of cloud services evolving in the health sector. In this paper, we explored the contemporary state and trends of healthcare by conducting a comprehensive survey to identify potential risks, vulnerabilities, and threats associated with the cloud computing platform. Moreover, cloud platforms like Secure G-Cloud, Pixel Conversion, tiers-based Cloud, and Cloud-of-Things have been discussed. Finally, threats have been classified and mitigation, possible alternatives, and counter-stones have been proposed in order to eliminate identified threats
Gender Sensitivity among the Faculty and Employees of ASIST
The main objective of this research is to advocate gender awareness and sensitivity in the school. Specifically, it sought to measure the level of gender sensitivity among the employees of the Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology. The descriptive method of investigation was used to describe the teachers’ and non-teaching personnel’s level of gender sensitivity. The researchers sought permission from the head of the institution to conduct the proposed study, meet the respondents and distribute the checklist and questionnaires to them. Responses were retrieved, tallied, analyzed, and interpreted. In conclusion, the level of gender sensitivity of the employees of ASIST is high. Among the three roles, community managing role was rated the highest followed by reproductive and productive roles. There is a significant difference between the gender sensitivity level of ASIST Bangued faculty and non-teaching personnel in terms of productive role. The non-teaching personnel have higher level of perception on gender sensitivity along productive role than the faculty members. However, there is no significant difference between the gender sensitivity level of the faculty and non-teaching personnel in terms of reproductive and community managing roles. It is then recommended that there should be more orientations, seminars and trainings to be attended by the ASIST employees to further strengthen their gender sensitivity levels. The Gender and Development Unit must come up with more GAD programs and projects that will encourage participation among the employees. A parallel study should be conducted by considering other variables or respondents not included in this study
Off-campus Performance of Student Teachers
The paper looked into off-campus student teaching of the BSEd and BEEd student teachers using the descriptive approach in research, it identified their performance along with the parts of the lesson plan, classroom management, and assessment. There were 120 cooperating teachers who served as respondents in this study. Results showed that along with displaying professionalism, BSEd student teachers performed "Very Satisfactory " while " Outstanding" for BEEd. The BEEd student teachers performed better in lesson planning and items on personality. The student teachers need to improve in certain areas on classroom management, their art of questioning, how they motivate the class, and assessment. It is then recommended to conduct lectures, symposia, and fora where the student teachers displayed the lowest. Continuous support of the CTE pre-service program and activities to produce globally competitive prospected teachers and an interface with other Institutions to determine good and healthy off-campus practices and experiences of student teachers are encouraged
Automatic Topic Title Predicting from News Articles Using Semantic-Based NMF Model
Social medical being a predominant form of communication, millions of texts in terms of news articles, tweets, and snippets are generated worldwide every hour. From them discovering concise and useful knowledge has caught the interest from both academia and the business industry. Since the text document has an infinite amount of contextual information and it is sparse and ambiguous, therefore, learning topics automatically from them is a significant issue and challenge. To address this problem, this research paper proposes a non-negative matrix factorization (NMF) semantics-based model for extracting concise and meaningful topic titles for the text to grasp the whole text theme. The model is efficiently integrated with the semantic correlations between words and their context, which are learned through skip-gram. The NMF method is used to tackle this issue by using a block coordinate algorithm. In terms of topic coherence, extensive quantitative evaluations of the proposed models on a variety of real-world text datasets show that they outperform various state-of-the-art methods. The interpretability of these models demonstrated by qualitative semantic analysis, which identifies significant and consistent topics. It is an effective standard topic model for unstructured sparse text due to its superior performance and simple construction
Phishing - An Analysis About Types, Causes, Preventives and Case Research in The Modern-Day Situation
Phishing is a scam that has been around for a long time and has only grown in popularity. In this study, we gathered a lot of information about that one different and improved method of tricking customers short of their understanding or concern. Several case investigations centered on authentic-life incidents are also included. The extremely popular phishing incidents use automated messaging, such as email, to deliver a link to what seems to be a valid site but is a malevolent site operated by the attacker. Phishing is a crossbreed assault that combines community engineering and technical facets and combating phishing assaults necessitates dealing with both. Our primary goal is to keep users notified of all malicious crimes committed by the attackers. We have also listed some of the preventative procedures that a user should take to avoid such offenses. Users, whether intentionally or unintentionally, are entrapped by these types of assaults, and hacks always accomplish in outwitting them by employing different and unique scams. This file is a try to improve consciousness approximately the varieties of phishing, their causes, and the numerous preventive measures which can alternate the way human beings assume and understand hackers
Collaborative Monocular Visual SLAM for Multi-Robot
Collaborative SLAM is an amazing extension of single robot locations where multiple robots with monocular cameras work together in a dynamic environment to build one global map. The global map is later used by the multiple moving robots to localize themselves on the map. The application of collaborative SLAM can be used in various fields that include collaborative military tasks, search and rescue, agricultural planting, multi-robots working together to improve efficiency, and many others.
Generally, every existing collaborative SLAM method uses an offline technique to process the collected data in the indoor environment. The indoor environment has limited space and lacks GPS connectivity. In this paper, we aim to give a step toward the usage of two drones equipped with monocular cameras and a standard laptop as the server for monitoring indoor workplaces. We worked on Simultaneous localization and mapping standard architecture with building the centralized global SLAM by the micro aerial vehicles such as Tello in our case. We investigated the method and localization of the drone on the global map
Effectiveness of Back-to-Basic Mathematics on Physics Performance of the Students in Mindanao State University-Sulu in the Southern Philippines
It is said that one major requirement for learning Physics is the mastery of Mathematics. Comprehensively, one cannot really learn Physics if he has no background of Mathematics. While the mastery of Mathematics is a far-fetched, learning some of its basic concepts is beyond someone’s reached. The competence in basic Mathematics will drive someone to meaningful learning experiences in Physics. So the researcher suggests that one should consider learning basic Mathematics before he or she learns Physics. This study investigated the effectiveness of back-to-basic Mathematics on the Physics performance of Grade 12 students in Mindanao State University-Sulu in the Southern Philippines. Descriptive survey method was employed in this study. The data gathered through a survey questionnaire and from the teacher’s class record were analyzed using arithmetic mean. The significant difference between the Physics performances of the students when they are classified in terms of gender was interpreted using t-test for independent samples. This study revealed that back-to-basic Mathematics is highly effective in improving the Physics performance of the students. With this, it is recommended that Physics teachers should consider starting their classes by recalling some concepts of basic Mathematics before they proceed to the discussion of Physics topics. The study concluded that back-to-basic Mathematics is effective in improving the Physics performance of the students
Analysing the Traffic System Controlling Using Smart Sensor
In recent connation in modern city, particularly in densely populated areas, traffic conditions are extremely congested all of the time, especially during peak hours on working days. For a thriving rate of population growth, the clash of modern and public of urban affront several cruxes, leading to inflow peaks in congested places. Furthermore, which causes roaming baulks and allows for the contamination of conveyance kindling by ambient pollution and human infections. Several prosperous municipal sects have recently completed smart traffic system structures that provide effort criteria to influx mechanization as well as inhibition among previously detected problems in order to avert comparable intense matters. The key concept is to quickly collect vehicle jamming data, as well as to implement a fleeting substitution strategy for automobiles and travellers, which includes a network-based vehicle data scheme and the efficient placement of vehicles on accurate transportation routes. Here, an improved traffic mechanism with an observational base is to be projected with existing criticism that works on rapid data broadcast and comparable processes. With an influx network result, portable mediator cantered supervisor implements blockage rheostat functionality to homogeneously unify transportation stream while avoiding cramming to nifty transportation region, revealing additional distinct topographies such as mishap prevention, offence, chauffeur elasticity, and traveller safety. Preteens is used, which has stimulating benefits for better execution, managing postponement, and avoiding various undesired incidents for a better range of intense swarming.
Improved Image Processing Technique Based Internet of Things and Convolutional Neural Network for Fault Classification of Solar Cells
In the clean, renewable electricity generation, the solar photovoltaic (PV) classification structure became the most appealing. Furthermore, due to varied characteristics and ambient temperature, performance varies. To analyze its performance, a real-time and remote monitoring system is required. The use of the Internet of Things (IoT) in the solar cells classification and in the solar PV systems monitoring is dependent on image processing, and its effectiveness has been investigated. Data gathering, data gateway, and a Constitutional Neural (CNN) model for fault classification prediction in solar cells make up the enhanced proposed system. This research uses a 2,426 solar cells acquired datasets from high-resolution electroluminescence (EL) photographs for automated fault probability detection. The gathered images depict both faulty and functioning solar cells with varying degrees of degradation in polycrystalline and monocrystalline solar modules. Experts categorized the solar cells and labeled the photos basing on the fault possibility in each image. The tagged images could be used to develop machine-learning algorithms and computer vision for detecting and forecasting faults including cell quality, PID, fracture interconnects, and fractures, as well as anticipating power efficiency losses
Resilience and Peace-Adherence Among Tinguian Women of Today
Peace and Resilience- two words that usually complement each other. In order for one to achieve peace, resilience is a basic component and vise-versa. For Tinguian women, resilience has been their second nature while simultaneously living the role as protectors and promoters of development and peace in their communities. This is reflected in their culture and way of life. The study used the descriptive-correlational design. The level of resilience of one hundred three (103) Tinguian women respondents was determined through a questionnaire-checklist on a four-point scale and the level of adherence to peace practices was determined using a questionnaire-checklist on a five-point scale. Statistical treatment using weighted mean was used to determine the levels of resilience and peace-adherence among the women in the study. Bivariate analysis was used to identify the significant relationship between the levels of resilience and adherence to peace-building practices among the informants. Data revealed generally “Very High” levels of resilience among the Tinguian women respondents. Level of adherence to peace practices was largely “Frequently Adhered To.” Taken as a whole, no significant correlation between the adherence to peace practices and the resilience of the women in the study was established. Taken singly, though, there exists significant relationships between resilience along “independence” and peace adherence in the “workplace” as well as a significant correlation between resilience along “social competence” and peace adherence in the “community.” Programs to enhance and strengthen the awareness of Tinguian women on their role as advocates and promoters of resilience and peace are recommended
