Stability analysis of civil air defense tunnel under blasting vibration

    Get PDF
Based on a large section drilling and blasting excavation project, the dynamic response characteristics of civil air defense tunnels are analyzed by combining field monitoring and numerical simulation. The dynamic response features include particle vibration velocity, main frequency, displacement, and stress, and the stability criterion of the tunnel is analyzed. A safety criterion model based on the ultimate tensile strength of materials is established. The results show that the frequency of the X, Y, and Z directions is mainly distributed in 90-140 Hz. The effective stress increases first and then decreases along the axis of the roadway. The stress near the explosion source is large and the relative reduction is also large. By fitting the relationship between blasting vibration velocity and maximum principal stress, the safe vibration velocity criterion based on tensile strength is obtained, and the safe threshold of vibration velocity is 19.62 cm/s. It can be assumed that blasting does not affect the structure

Optimization of reduction gear in anchor winch based on modal analysis

    Get PDF
In order to achieve more scientific design of the reduction gear and reduce material waste, pre-stressed modal analysis method was combined with multi-objective optimization algorithm to optimize the structure of the reduction gear basic body. The model was simplified and parameterized and the maximum stress and equivalent stiffness under different parameter size combinations were obtained through finite element analysis. Separately, genetic clustering method, neural network method, and Kriging method were used to construct the response surface function. Through error verification and comparison, it was found that the Kriging method was more suitable for the gear model. In the design of variable extremum search, multi-objective genetic algorithm and sequential quadratic programming were compared and analyzed. The results show that the mass of the gear can be reduced by 39.9 %, while the maximum stress remains unchanged, the equivalent stiffness is not reduced, and a good optimization design effect is achieved

    Get PDF
A spherical thin-walled stainless steel water tank without reinforced tie ribs has been designed to address the issues of easy fracture and corrosion of the ribs, difficulty in maintenance and cleaning, and short service life exposed during the use of thin-walled stainless steel water tanks with reinforced tie ribs. Firstly, an analytical model of a flat steel thin-walled water tank without reinforced tie ribs was established and subjected to static analysis under water pressure. The deformation and stress distribution patterns of the side molded plate of the flat box were obtained. Secondly, a spherical non ribbed thin-walled stainless steel water tank structure was designed with circular cross-section under different box bulge parameters, and its mechanical response characteristics under water pressure load were analyzed. A strengthening scheme was designed for the bottom box molded plate. Once again, optimize the combination design of the box scheme and the reinforcement scheme, and analyze their static, thermodynamic, and thermal solid coupling performance. Finally, the Latin Hypercube Sampling method was used to generate experimental design samples, and a response surface approximation model of a spherical thin-walled stainless steel water tank without reinforced tie ribs was constructed. The wall thickness of the box molded plate, skeleton, and reinforcement were used as design variables, and the maximum deformation and maximum equivalent stress were used as constraints. The lightweight design was carried out with the goal of minimizing mass. The research results indicate that the design program and parameter selection method for spherical thin-walled stainless steel water tanks without reinforced tie ribs proposed in the article are efficient and feasible, and can provide technical reference and theoretical support for the layout and overall optimization design of non ribbed thin-walled stainless steel water tank structures

Methods of detection and localization of the sources of noise and vibration on car gearboxes: a review

    Get PDF
One of the primary sources of noise and vibration in automobiles is gearboxes. Shafts, gears, and bearings are the main causes of noise and vibration in vehicle gearboxes. Various studies have reported that vibrations’ root cause is bearing excitation. Besides bearing fatal defects or extreme structure resonance amplification, gear mesh is the primary source of high-frequency vibration and noise, even in newly built units. Gear damage detection is frequently crucial in automotive gearboxes and vehicle safety. Furthermore, vibrations caused by shaft imbalances, shaft misalignments, and other factors can cause noise and vibrations in the drivetrain's transfer path. In addition, the vibration of an automobile gearbox is closely related to poor design, construction quality, and production accuracy. This paper reviewed previous research and methods on car gearboxes for conventional vehicles. It was obvious that frequency analysis and order analysis were commonly used in noise and vibration analysis on car gearboxes. Envelope analysis is usually used to analyze bearing faults. Finally, rolling-element bearing diagnostic techniques were also reviewed

Evaluation and design of a bite force measuring load cell

    Get PDF
The measurement of bite force can be essential for assessing oral health and the functioning of the stomatognathic system. However, its use in dental offices is limited due to operational complexities and costs. This study focused on evaluating the mechanical strength of the user-friendly and low manufacturing cost load cell under development within LABBIO – Bioengineering Laboratory at UFMG, the gnathodynamometer, tailored for children. 3D modeling in SolidWorks and Finite Element Method (FEM) structural analysis were employed to ensure its ability to withstand the desired 1000 N load. Initially, the device did not meet the desired load, resulting in iterations to modify its geometry. After iterations including the replacement of the initial material with a more suitable alternative, removal of edges, and other adjustments, a final prototype meeting mechanical strength and functionality requirements was developed

Neuroclusal rehabilitation with planas direct tracks in the treatment of anterior crossbite – literature review

    Get PDF
Planas direct tracks (PDTs) are an alternative treatment based on neuro occlusal rehabilitation (NOR) of various occlusal changes in the primary dentition and in the beginning of mixed dentition. Anterior crossbite is a very common malocclusion during this period. The aim of the present work was to report on Planas direct tracks through a literature review based on neuro-occlusal rehabilitation as a therapy for anterior crossbite (ACB). The search for articles was performed in the databases SciELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online), MEDLINE (National Library of Medicine-USA) and Google Scholar. After searching for articles, 12 studies were listed, however, after evaluating the inclusion and exclusion criteria, only 5 articles remained. The articles found proved to be effective in resolving cases with PDTs based on NOR. PDTs were more suitable for the treatment of anterior crossbite in the primary dentition. The inclination of the tracks was variable, both in the anterior and posterior regions, between 20° and 45° degrees. Three case reports in primary dentition observed ACB correction after 30 days with PDT. As a result, two case reports reported that the treatment of ACB was resolved after 45 days with the effects of clockwise rotation of the mandible and its retropositioning. Another effect observed was the uncrossing of the anterior teeth, presenting an uncrossing of the bite and improvements in facial and postural symmetry. The NOR-based PDT for the case reports presented promoted the resolution of ACB malocclusion, promoting the correction of jaw posture, and in turn, improving the facial and postural symmetry of the mandible

Bending of a piecewise homogeneous plate with a circular interfacial materials separation zone and radial crack considering the strip contact of its edges

    Get PDF
The work presents a solution to the bending problem of an infinite piecewise homogeneous isotropic plate with an elastic circular washer and a radial through straight crack. It was assumed that under the action of an external loads at infinity, the edges of the crack are smoothly contacted on area of constant width (strip contact) on the upper base of the plate. The solution of the problem is built using the methods of the theory of functions of a complex variable and complex potentials and is reduced to a system of singular integral equations, which is numerically solved using the method of mechanical quadrature A numerical analysis of the problem is conducted and graphic dependencies of contact force, coefficients of intensity of moments and forces at various parameters of the problem were constructed

An improved wavelet threshold function denoising method based on IGA optimization

    Get PDF
In single crystal diamond tool grinding, cutting-edge quality is affected by various parameters, with tool vibration playing a crucial role. Due to environmental factors and the complexity of the process, vibration signals are often noisy and non-stationary. This study proposes a denoising method that optimizes the wavelet threshold function using an Improved Genetic Algorithm (IGA). The method introduces a configurable value α in the wavelet threshold function, which is optimized with IGA to improve denoising. MATLAB R2018b simulations show that this approach achieves better denoising, a higher signal-to-noise ratio, and lower mean square error

Common fixed-point theorem for commuting maps on a metric space

    Get PDF
Several novel uses of theorems for fixed points in commuting mapping in a fully metric domain are presented. Several conclusions from full metric fixed point theory are improved and extended by our work. Our proofs are inspired by the study of commuting mappings [B. Fisher and S. Sessa, on a fixed point theorem of Gregus, 1986] and [P. Sumati Kumari, Fixed and periodic point theory in certain spaces, 2013]

A precise localization algorithm for unmanned aerial vehicles integrating visual-internal odometry and cartographer

    Get PDF
Accurate positioning in space is an important foundation for ensuring the stability of autonomous flight and successful mapping and navigation of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). At present, the SLAM algorithm based on the Cartographer algorithm for real-time positioning and mapping is widely used in fields such as robot navigation and autonomous driving. However, in the context of UAV applications, this algorithm has a high dependence on the amount of point cloud information in the surrounding environment, and cannot achieve precise positioning in open spaces with insufficient lighting and fewer feature points, resulting in significant mapping errors. In order to solve the problem of low positioning estimation accuracy in the Cartographer algorithm in above environment, this paper proposes a precise positioning algorithm for UAVs that integrates VIO and Cartographer. This algorithm can continuously output more accurate position estimation information during UAV flight, compensating for the problem of inaccurate position estimation caused by partial feature loss or coordinate system drift in point clouds. In addition, this algorithm ensures navigation obstacle avoidance in narrow spaces by improving positioning accuracy and mapping accuracy, making it more applicable in the field of UAVs. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed positioning algorithm was verified through experimental analysis of the Cartographer dataset and practical testing of UAVs in real scenarios
