COVID-19 has had a significant impact on individuals’ mental health, and understanding the psychological well-being of survivors is crucial for developing effective support and interventions. This descriptive phenomenological study aimed to explore and describe the psychological well-being of COVID-19 survivors during and after the recovery. The study was conducted in Ozamiz City, Province of Misamis Occidental and Municipality of Ramon, Province of Isabela. The participants of the study were three COVID-19 survivors who have recovered from the illness selected through purposive sampling. In-depth interviews were conducted and the seven-step method of data analysis of Colaizzi was employed to identify key themes related to psychological well-being. The findings reveal five central themes: 1) Anxiety due to Coronavirus, 2) Social Isolation, 3) Making Sense of the Experience, 4) Positive Relationships, and 5) Strong Spiritual Foundation. While these individuals faced significant anxiety and social isolation upon learning of their positive status—stemming from fears of being a carrier, concerns about imminent death, and worries for the welfare of their loved ones—they also discovered pathways to resilience and connection that enhanced their mental health. Social isolation was exacerbated by feelings of loneliness in isolation facilities and discrimination from neighbors. However, the pandemic also fostered positive effects on the survivors’ psychological well-being. They navigated their experiences by adopting healthy lifestyles, recognizing their strength in the face of adversity, and cultivating hope and gratitude. Additionally, they established positive relationships with loved ones and built a strong spiritual foundation by maintaining their faith and trusting God during and after their recovery. These elements illustrate how, despite the challenges, survivors found ways to enhance their psychological well-being

    Get PDF
Nuristan is situated south of the Hindu Kush Mountain range in the eastern provinces of Afghanistan. The ELINA tribe appears to have been the first group to settle in the southern Hindu Kush, especially in the rich regions of Nuristan, according to historical documents spanning more than 2000 years. Alexander the Great attempted to traverse Nuristan with his army during one of his military operations in order to reach India. Alexander and his warriors encountered fierce resistance in the western regions of Nuristan, but were welcomed with open arms by the people of KAMDISH in the eastern region. They were able to enter India as a result. Nuristan, sometimes referred to as the world's museum, has been the subject of in-depth inquiry by both domestic and international scholars. Raising animals including goats, sheep, and cows was a major part of the ancient Nuristan people's livelihood and supported the local economy. During this time, a person's social standing was determined by their military prowess, bravery, and ability to get dinner invitations. These achievements brought significant titles like BATOR, JISHT, DENG BATOR, and DAL ODA to the individuals. The gift of medals, signs, and symbols like KIRA, SHETOMA, HOSHNEK, and PANUK served as acknowledgment. The historical background of Nuristan and the socioeconomic division in the region are examined in this research. People with unique cultural characteristics have lived here for innumerable centuries. The main goal is to shed light on Nuristan's unique cultural practices and historical context

    Get PDF
Background: Numerous studies have examined how exercise training affects the blood circulation system and have shown that it can prevent or lessen the harmful effects of a number of pathological conditions, including osteoporosis, diabetes mellitus, arterial hypertension, coronary artery disease, atherosclerosis, Parkinson's disease, and Alzheimer's disease. It is well established that exercise training alters the autonomic nervous system by raising parasympathetic tone and decreasing sympathetic activity. In both normotensive and hypertensive people, these changes are correlated with lower blood pressure and heart rates. Methods: Studies have focused on identifying the fundamental processes by which physical activity causes bradycardia and lowers blood pressure. emphasizing the need for further research to elucidate these mechanisms. Research has utilized data from both animal models and human studies to investigate the effects of exercise on the cardiovascular system, aiming to shed light on the physiological and molecular changes induced by exercise training on the blood circulation system. Goals: The primary goal of the research is to explore how exercise training impacts the cardiovascular system, particularly in terms of reducing sympathetic activity, increasing parasympathetic tonus, and improving cardiovascular health to prevent or mitigate various pathological conditions. Understanding the mechanisms underlying the cardiovascular benefits of exercise is crucial for developing effective strategies to enhance cardiovascular function and overall health through physical activity. Findings: The findings from the research underscore the significant positive effects of exercise training on the blood circulation system, highlighting its role in promoting beneficial health outcomes and reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases and other related conditions. The studies reviewed demonstrate that exercise training leads to physiological and molecular changes that contribute to improved cardiovascular function, emphasizing the importance of regular physical activity for cardiovascular health and overall well-being
