    Get PDF
Curriculum development is crucial to bridging the gap between graduate competencies and labor market demands, particularly amid rapid advancements in science and technology. This study aims to examine the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) approach within the Islamic Religious Education (IRE) curriculum, with a specific focus on its implementation strategies and curriculum evaluation models. Using a qualitative library research method, data were gathered from various sources including documents, journals, books, and academic articles. The findings reveal that the OBE-based IRE curriculum is oriented toward achieving specific learning outcomes (CPL) through the use of case method and project-based learning. The Provus Discrepancy Evaluation Model was used to assess the alignment of curriculum implementation with established standards. These findings imply the need for a more contextual and responsive IRE curriculum design in addressing 21st-century challenges. The study recommends enhancing teacher training on OBE strategies and adjusting curriculum structures to better align with evolving professional demands

The creative industry is an economic sector powered by individual creativity, talent, and skills, which generates both additional value and employment opportunities. In Batu City, its growth is parallel to urban development while structural barriers still exist. As such, the study analyzes the city's creative industry development from 2001 to 2022 using a historical approach involving source collection, critique, interpretation, and historiography. It was inspired by Ibn Khaldun’s integration of economic and sociological analysis. The findings indicate an increase in the number of creative industry actors. However, there were only 9 out of 365 micro, small, and medium enterprises (UMKM) in Batu, Bumiaji, and Junrejo that succeeded to enter into the export market. The primary challenges include limited capital, low product quality, and weak business management. Thus, there is a need for strengthened collaboration among stakeholders to enhance the local economic impact of the industry

    Get PDF
This study aims to explore the differences in educational policies between Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) and Muhammadiyah Islamic boarding schools as two models of Islamic education in Indonesia. A qualitative approach was used with literature study and in-depth interviews with educational figures from both institutions. The results show that NU emphasizes education based on classical Islamic texts, traditional approaches, and teacher-student relationships with a strong sufistic spirit. Meanwhile, Muhammadiyah is oriented towards a modern educational system, integrating religious and general sciences, and implementing education management according to a modern organization. Furthermore, the curriculum policies, teaching methods, and educational goals of the two institutions reflect different orientations; in which NU is more likely to focus on the formation of religious character through the mastery of classical Islamic knowledge, Muhammadiyah emphasizes the development of Muslim intellectual leaders who are adaptive to the times. The findings confirm the importance of understanding various approaches in Islamic education as a national education heritage

    Get PDF
The rapid growth of digital technology over the past decade has transformed both social and educational life, especially among elementary school students who are increasingly exposed to digital devices and social media. While these technologies offer opportunities for creativity, communication, and information access, they also present risks such as misinformation, cyberbullying, and digital addiction. This study explores the role of teachers in fostering digital literacy and citizenship among elementary school students. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were gathered through in-depth interviews and classroom observations involving elementary school teachers in Jakarta. Thematic analysis was employed to identify teachers’ strategies, roles, and challenges in nurturing students’ digital literacy and civic responsibility. The findings reveal that teachers serve as educators, facilitators, and role models who promote responsible and ethical digital behavior through project-based learning, digital storytelling, moral modeling, and the creative use of interactive media. However, challenges such as limited teacher competence, insufficient contextual teaching materials, and low parental engagement remain. The study highlights the need to strengthen teacher training in digital ethics and pedagogy and offers practical implications for policymakers to enhance digital education aligned with Indonesia’s Pancasila Student Profile

    Get PDF
This study aims to analyze the development of scientific literature on Qur’anic literacy in the digital era in Indonesia during the period 2018–2024 using a bibliometric approach. A total of 16 scientific documents were retrieved from the Scopus database and analyzed using RStudio with the Bibliometrix package and the Biblioshiny interface. The results reveal that research on digital Qur’anic literacy in Indonesia has shown an increasing trend, although the number of publications remains limited. The dominant topics include Islamic education, the use of digital media in Qur’anic learning, and the dynamics of Islam in Indonesian society. Moreover, the level of collaboration among authors and institutions is largely national, with limited international contributions. These findings suggest that Qur’anic literacy in the digital era is not merely an adaptation to technological advancement but also a form of recontextualization of Islamic values within the modern digital environment. This study provides a foundational perspective for developing technology-based Qur’anic education models that maintain the authenticity of Islamic teachings while remaining relevant to the needs of the digital generation

Research ethics serve as the moral foundation of scholarly work, emphasizing integrity, honesty, and social responsibility in producing authentic and beneficial research. However, ethical violations persist among academics due to factors such as easy access to information that promotes careless plagiarism, pressure to publish, inadequate competence, and limited understanding of ethical principles. This uneven awareness of ethical values highlights the need for continuous reinforcement. Using a qualitative approach and literature review method, this article examines the core principles of research ethics, researchers’ codes of conduct, common ethical violations, and strategies to strengthen ethical awareness. The findings reveal that consistent application of ethical standards requires clear regulations, structured training, and a sustained culture of integrity. Ultimately, research ethics should not be viewed merely as formal compliance, but as intrinsic moral values that define the identity of a responsible and professional researcher

    Get PDF
This study aims to uncover the values of local wisdom embedded in the Berateb Kampung tradition of the Kuala Alam village community in Bengkalis Regency. As a religious cultural heritage practiced since 1960, Berateb Kampung is performed annually as a communal prayer for protection, well-being, and the reinforcement of Islamic brotherhood (ukhuwah islamiyah). Using a qualitative approach and ethnographic method, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that Berateb Kampung is not merely a ritual but a symbolically rich practice that embodies social interaction, religious devotion, and spiritual reflection. Viewed through George Herbert Mead’s theory of symbolic interactionism, the tradition demonstrates how social meaning is shaped through collective symbolic action. From an Islamic legal perspective, the practice aligns with the concept of ‘urf (custom) and is acceptable as long as it does not contradict established religious texts (nash syar’i). Ultimately, Berateb Kampung represents a form of local wisdom that harmonizes religious and cultural values, preserves communal identity, and deserves safeguarding in the face of modern challenges
