    Get PDF
This study examines the influence of spiritual intelligence and emotional intelligence on employee performance through organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) at the Youth and Sports Office of West Seram Regency. Using a quantitative associative design with a cross-sectional approach, all 21 employees were included through full sampling. Data were analyzed using path analysis with SPSS 25. The results show that both spiritual and emotional intelligence significantly enhance OCB, yet neither has a direct effect on employee performance. OCB, however, directly improves performance and serves as a mediating variable that connects both forms of intelligence to performance. These findings indicate that spiritual and emotional capacities contribute to better performance only when manifested through voluntary, proactive, and citizenship-oriented behaviors within the organization

Employing a descriptive–quantitative design with a causal-correlational framework, the research positions the intelligence dimensions as determinants of variations in employees’ work-life quality. The entire workforce—comprising 19 civil servants, 4 government contract staff (P3K), and 26 honorary employees—was included as the sample through a full-enumeration technique, totaling 49 respondents. Data processing was carried out using multiple linear regression to identify the contribution of each intelligence dimension. The findings reveal that emotional, intellectual, spiritual, and social intelligence each exert a significant and positive influence on the quality of work life. These results underscore the importance of developing holistic intelligence capacities to enhance workplace well-being within public sector institutions

This study examines the role of wives in enhancing their husbands’ religiosity in modern Muslim families, particularly in Padangsidimpuan City. Viewing the family as a spiritual institution, the research explores how religious values are cultivated through daily interaction, exemplary conduct, and meaningful communication. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, it draws on a literature review and in-depth interviews with five Muslim married couples, analyzed thematically to reveal patterns of the wife’s spiritual influence. The findings show that a wife’s devotion in worship, moral behavior, and positive religious communication significantly strengthen her husband’s religiosity. Her exemplary conduct and empathetic communication create a religious atmosphere that nurtures spiritual awareness at home. Modern wives who balance domestic and professional roles also contribute to the family’s spiritual resilience. Thus, the wife’s role embodies dakwah bil hal, serving as a spiritual catalyst who inspires her husband’s piety and supports a harmonious, faith-centered family

This study examines the influence of self-efficacy, self-esteem, and self-leadership on employee performance in disaster emergency response within West Seram Regency. The research employs a descriptive–quantitative approach with a causal-correlational design, conducted at the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) over a two-month period. The population consists of 50 employees, from which 44 respondents were selected using the Isaac and Michael sampling table at a 95% confidence level through simple random sampling. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that self-efficacy has a significant independent effect on employee performance during emergency operations. Self-esteem also contributes to performance variations, while self-leadership exerts a partial influence on performance outcomes. Furthermore, the three psychological variables collectively have a simultaneous and significant impact on employees’ effectiveness in handling disaster emergencies in West Seram Regency

Adapting Global ELT Syllabuses for Local Needs in Indonesian Secondary Schools

    Get PDF
The use of global English language teaching (ELT) syllabuses in Indonesian secondary schools often creates problems because the content and examples do not always match students’ cultural contexts and learning needs. This qualitative, descriptive literature review examines how globally designed ELT syllabuses are adapted for Indonesian classrooms. Drawing on fifteen Scopus-indexed studies published between 2020 and 2025, including works by Zein et al. (2020), Hanifa et al. (2024), Nurteteng et al. (2024), Fudiyartanto (2024), and Al Fikri (2025), the review identifies common adaptation strategies, challenges, and resulting teaching practices. Findings show that teachers frequently modify global syllabuses by adjusting cultural content and simplifying language to fit local realities (Hanifa et al., 2023; Andriani, 2024). However, obstacles remain, such as limited school support, insufficient teaching materials, and mismatches between curriculum demands and school policies (Nurteteng et al., 2024; Pajarwati, 2021). Although previous studies provide useful insights, most fail to offer concrete models for adapting global ELT materials to Indonesia’s Merdeka Curriculum, highlighting the need for further research

The CORE Learning Model (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, and Extending): How Does Its Implementation Affect Learning Outcomes at the C5 Level?

    Get PDF
This study examines the effectiveness of the CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, and Extending) learning model in enhancing students' evaluative cognitive skills (C5) in Islamic Religious Education (IRE) at the junior high school level. The gap between the need for teaching that fosters higher-order thinking skills and the current teaching practices, which are still dominated by a lecture-based approach, provides the backdrop for this research. A quantitative approach with a Posttest-Only Control Group design was used, involving two classes selected through cluster random sampling. The analysis results show a significant difference in evaluative abilities between the experimental group and the control group, confirming that the CORE model has a positive impact on facilitating critical thinking and argument-based decision-making. These findings provide strong empirical support to reinforce the constructivist approach in IRE teaching and recommend expanding the application of the CORE model to more diverse contexts and cognitive domains in the future

The findings show that Harun Nasution’s thoughts on the Islamic education curriculum are progressive and systematic, emphasizing spiritual, moral, intellectual, and social harmony. The foundation of this curriculum lies in placing morality at the center, stressing that religious education is not merely knowledge transfer or ritual practice but should shape strong character and tolerance. Harun highlighted rationality, causality, and guidance from the Qur’an and Sunnah, rejecting fatalism. Its success depends on ideal educators knowledgeable, exemplary, and adaptive, capable of integrating spirituality, reason, and social competence to form holistic individuals relevant to modern challenges
