No full textW artykule zbadano zagadnienie weryfikacji ostatecznych decyzji stypendialnych wydawanych studentom niepełnosprawnym, stanowiące wyjątek od zasady trwałości rozstrzygnięć administracyjnych będącej fundamentem pewności prawa i gwarantującej ochronę praw nabytych, z punktu widzenia typowych (najczęstszych) powodów. W tym celu analizie poddano przepisy ustawy Prawo o nauce i szkolnictwie wyższym w zakresie, w jakim reguluje przesłanki przyznania przedmiotowego świadczenia oraz dopuszcza weryfikację decyzji stypendialnych, a także przepisy Kodeksu postępowania administracyjnego, normujące tryby nadzwyczajne (wznowienie postępowania administracyjnego, stwierdzenie nieważności decyzji administracyjnej oraz wzruszenie decyzji na podstawie przepisów szczególnych), podkreślając brak dowolności w ich wyborze i niedopuszczalność jednoczesnego stosowania. Rozważania oparto na wskazaniu typowych przesłanek ich stosowania w odniesieniu do decyzji dotyczących materialnego wsparcia studentów niepełnosprawnych. Zbadano także praktykę orzeczniczą w zakresie, w jakim odnosi się tytułowej problematyki

No full textCelem artykułu jest wskazanie, czy problematyka łowickiej sztuki ludowej, a konkretnie wycinanka łowicka, haft oraz strój łowicki znajdują się w kręgu zainteresowań łódzkich redakcji czasopism kulturalnych i kulturalno-społecznych oraz czy są one przedmiotem analizy przedstawicieli świata akademickiego, którzy wyniki swoich badań opublikowali na łamach łódzkich periodyków naukowych. Analizowany okres obejmuje lata 2000–2023. Próbą badawczą dla autorki stały się artykuły dotyczące wybranych aspektów sztuki łowickiej, o których była mowa na łamach łódzkich periodyków naukowych, czasopism kulturalnych, a także kulturalno-społecznych. W przypadku pism naukowych były to artykuły naukowe, natomiast w czasopismach kulturalnych i kulturalno-społecznych przeanalizowano artykuły prasowe oraz wywiady. Analiza zebranego materiału pozwoliła wysunąć wniosek, że w latach 2000–2023 wycinanka, haft łowicki oraz strój łowicki nie cieszyły się dużą popularnością wśród tematów poruszanych przez dziennikarzy i badaczy. Rękodzieło i strój łowicki we wskazanych publikacjach, choć zamieszczanych sporadycznie, omawiane były jednak w sposób wyczerpujący, wieloaspektowy, co sprzyjało rozważaniu tej sfery działalności artystycznej z różnych punktów widzenia.The aim of the article is to indicate whether the issues of Łowicz folk art, and specifically Łowicz paper cutouts, embroidery and Łowicz costumes, are within the scope of interest of the Łódź editorial offices of cultural and cultural-social magazines, and whether they are the subject of analysis by representatives of the academic world who published the results of their research in Łódź scientific periodicals. The analyzed period covers the years 2000–2023. The author’s research sample included articles on selected aspects of Łowicz art, which were discussed in Łódź scientific periodicals, cultural and cultural and social magazines. In the case of scientific magazines, these were scientific articles, while in cultural and cultural-social magazines, press articles and interviews were analyzed. The analysis allowed us to draw the conclusion that in the years 2000–2023, paper cutting, Łowicz embroidery and Łowicz costume were not very popular among the topics discussed by journalists and researchers. The handicrafts and costumes of Łowicz in the indicated publications, although published sporadically, were discussed in an exhaustive and multi-faceted manner, which facilitated the exploration of this sphere of artistic activity from various points of view

No full textNiniejszy artykuł poświęcony jest wartości, jaką dla filozofii może stanowić samo sformułowanie pytania.Opierając się na logice erotetycznej, w szczególności na pracach Anny Brożek, autor analizuje strukturępoznawczą pytań, koncentrując się na ich presupozycjach i rozstrzygalności. Argumentuje, że dobrze sformułowane pytania, zwłaszcza hipotetyczne, mogą w znaczący sposób kierować dociekaniami filozoficznymi i naukowymi poprzez kształtowanie programów badawczych i wyjaśnianie luk pojęciowych. Co więcej, proces terapii logicznej i parafrazowania może przekształcić niejasne lub semantycznie błędne pytania w możliwe do rozwiązania lub wykazać ich nierozstrzygalność, co jest cenne z filozoficznego punktu widzenia. Poprzez perspektywę myślicieli, takich jak Ajdukiewicz, Collingwood i Agassi, ukazane zostaje, że zadawanie pytań jest nie tylko fundamentalne dla metodologii filozoficznej, ale samo w sobie może stanowić istotny wkład. Ostatecznie artykuł wspiera tezę, że samo zadawanie pytań może być cennym wkładem w filozofię.This paper examines the philosophical significance of merely posing a question. Drawing on erotetic logic, particularly the work of Anna Brożek (2008), the author analyzes the cognitive structure of questions, focusing on their presuppositions and resolvability. The paper argues that well-formulated questions, especially hypothetical ones can meaningfully guide philosophical and scientific inquiry by shaping research agendas and clarifying conceptual gaps. Further, the process of logical therapy and paraphrasing can transform vague or semantically flawed questions into resolvable ones or demonstrate their unresolvability, both of which are philosophically valuable. Through the lens of thinkers such as Ajdukiewicz, Collingwood, and Agassi, the paper shows that questioning is not only foundational to philosophical methodology but can itself constitute a substantive contribution. Ultimately, the paper supports the thesis that simply asking a question can be a valuable contribution to philosophy
War on words: a corpus-based analysis of Indian political neologisms
No full textIn the realm of political war (election), language is the most powerful weapon. Political leaders and parties craft and deploy neologisms during their political campaigning and slogans. They always tried to use catchy terms to address a variety of socio-political issues. Newly coined terms or phrases are used in order to address contemporary issues, shape public opinion, rally supporters, and undermine opponents. This war on words is particularly intense during election campaigns, where every phrase can sway voters. This study aims to analyze political neologisms within the framework of Indian elections using a corpus-based approach for Bengali language. The study is conducted in three phases. The first phase focuses on corpus creation, which includes a political news corpus along with social media texts and comments. The second phase is used to identify the relevant political neologisms. The system utilized an n-gram model (for n=1, 2, 3, 4) to detect political neologisms. Finally, the identified neologisms are analyzed from a socio-linguistic perspective and documented a total of 327 new political neologisms. Additionally, a detailed description of the twenty most prominent and critically selected neologisms are presented
Is it ‘the Ukraine crisis’ or a war in Europe? Multiple frames of Russia’s aggression in parliamentary discourse from a comparative MD-CADS perspective
No full textThis contribution aims to uncover similarities and differences in the construction of war in the Ukrainian and British parliamentary discourses against the dramatic social context of Russia’s unfolding aggression since 2014 and its full-scale invasion of Ukraine starting from 24 February 2022. The study adopts a comparative perspective on the onomasiological salience (Geeraerts, 2017) of alternative designations of armed hostilities used in comparable institutional settings. It is primarily situated within the framework of MD-CADS, with its emphasis on the importance
of corpus data segmentation from epistemological, methodological and practical perspectives (Marchi, 2018). Naming choices for the armed hostilities in focus are discussed in relation to experience-based schematic representations of real-world situations known as frames (Fillmore et al., 2003a; Ruppenhofer et al., 2017) and framing as a discursive practice of selecting “some aspects of a perceived reality” (Entman, 1993: 52) and “introducing some form of cognitive bias” (Charteris-Black, 2019: 16) in parliamentary discourse, which provides valuable data for investigating the intersection between language and social change (Tyrkkö and Kotze, 2023). The data come from two uniformly encoded and comparable corpora under the ParlaMint project: ParlaMint-UA containing plenary proceedings of the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine’s unicameral parliament, and ParlaMint-GB including transcripts of parliamentary debates from the House of Lords and the House of Commons. The findings suggest that naming and framing of armed hostilities in parliamentary debates have to do with the hybrid legal and political nature of parliamentary discourse as well as an interplay between the institutional and individual choices of the speakers. Spatial and temporal proximity or distance between the speakers and the events in focus affects yet does not determine their conceptualisation as proximal or distant from the speakers themselves as well as from their addressees and is subject to change in the constantly shifting political and geopolitical climate
Analytic republicans and authentic democrats: linguistic analysis of the 2020 broadcast presidential campaign ads
No full textThis study investigates linguistic patterns in 2020 presidential broadcast ads using the Linguistic Inquiry and Word Count (LIWC) automated language analysis tool. Results reveal notable differences: Republican ads exhibited a higher negative tone and more analytic language, while Democratic ads displayed increased levels of cognitive processes and greater authenticity. Interpreted through the lenses of Lakoff’s Strict Father and Nurturant Parent models, these findings suggest that language choices in campaign messages may reflect core party values. As an exploratory analysis, this study provides a foundation for future research into the role of linguistic framing in presidential advertising and its alignment with ideological archetypes
Age-related features of changes in non-specific and specific indicators in the body of rats when consuming water with different concentrations of nitrates
No full textBackground. The problem of nitrate contamination of groundwater, which is used for drinking purposes, is constantly worsening in many countries and still remains relevant.
Material and methods. The study was conducted on 60 white female rats divided into 5 groups. Each had 6 sexually mature individuals and 6 sexually immature individuals. The 1st group received drinking water from the city water supply. The 2nd group consumed water with nitrates in a concentration of 50, the 3rd – 150, the 4th – 250, and the 5th – 500 mg/l for 30 days. To study the influence of different concentrations of nitrates under conditions of their intake with drinking water on the condition of the liver of white rats, the relative weight of the liver was calculated, and also the activity of the liver in blood serum was determined.
Results. The indicated concentrations of nitrates in drinking water led to an increase in the relative weight of the liver and to an increase in cytolysis indicators.
Conclusions. Drinking water with nitrates in the experimental groups had a negative effect on rats body, which was evidenced by a change in the relative weight of the liver and cytolysis indicators. The adverse effect increased with increasing nitrate concentration

No full textZachodzące we współczesnym świecie w niezwykle szybkim tempie zmiany, nastawione przede wszystkim na budowanie gospodarki opartej na wiedzy, stawiają nowe wymagania przed współczesną szkołą, a tym samym przed nauczycielem, ponieważ determinują potrzebę dopasowania edukacji do dynamiki zachodzących przeobrażeń.
Zauważyć należy jednocześnie, że przestrzeń edukacyjna pełna jest różnych niedopowiedzeń i niedookreśleń, cechuje ją dynamiczna zmienność zdarzeń, co powoduje, że praca zawodowa nauczyciela cechuje się szczególną złożonością, wieloaspektowością, nieprzewidywalnością i niedookreślonością.
Dlatego stałą cechą tego zawodu jest konieczność permanentnego poszerzania wiedzy oraz doskonalenia umiejętności i kompetencji nauczycielskich. Z powodu niepowtarzalności sytuacji edukacyjnych, które zachodzą w dynamicznie zmieniającym się świecie, przygotowanie do pracy pedagogicznej nie może być uznane za proces skończony, ale musi mieć charakter permanentny i obejmować cały okres pracy zawodowej.The extremely rapid changes taking place in the modern world related to the building of a knowledge-based economy place new requirements on the modern school and on teachers. Educators need to adapt to the ongoing transformation. Educational space is characterized by changeability which makes a teacher’s professional work particularly complex, multi-dimensional, unpredictable, and underdetermined. Therefore, a permanent feature of this profession is the need to constantly expand knowledge and improve teaching skills and competences. Due to the uniqueness of educational situations that occur in a changing world, preparation for teaching work cannot be considered a finite process, but must be permanent and cover the entire period of professional work
