Get PDFThe personal social issues experienced by students in daily life are important studies in social studies education. The study of the role of the environment is very important in preserving local wisdom that is beginning to be abandoned by the younger generation, especially the students as a generation of gold who will continue the eastafet stick of development. The importance of a learning approach that is relevant to the situation of students, learning in accordance with the real world reality of students with ecological intelligence (Ekopedagogy) by exploring local wisdom that can be developed through social studies with the selection of contextual material, and meaningful for students to develop skills concern for the community, and place empathy as a form of positive attitudes towards environmental conservation based on local wisdom through the ecopedagogy approach.

A CORRELATIONAL STUDY BETWEEN VOCABULARY MASTERY AND READING COMPREHENSION AT ECONOMIC FACULTY OF ALKHAIRAAT UNIVERSITY
Get PDFThis research is a correlational study with two variables – variable X standing for vocabulary mastery and variable Y standing for reading comprehension. There were three research questions: (1) What is the level of correlation between variable X and variable Y?; (2) How significant is the contribution that can be given by variable X toward variable Y?; and (3) Is there positive correlation between variable X and variable Y? The sample of this research was fifty students of the first semester at Economic Faculty of Alkhairaat University. The instruments were tests and questionnaire. Through tests, it was found that: (1) The level of correlation between variable X and variable Y was strong; (2) The significant contribution given by variable X toward variable Y was 52.8%, meaning variable X gave much contribution to variable Y; and (3) There was positive correlation between variable X and variable Y since the value of r-counted (0.727) was higher than the value of r-table (0.279). Through questionnaire, 46% respondents agreed that vocabulary took a role in helping them to comprehend English texts, meaning the more vocabulary they have, the better they are in comprehending English texts

Blended learning based learning at the Palu Model State Islamic Education Madrasah is considered effective and efficient because teachers are not preoccupied with making material designs, simply accessing the internet is needed including practice in the form of videos so that it will facilitate teachers, both in terms of time, effort and cost. The challenge of blended learning is that teachers are required to be more creative and able to use internet networks. Job design and analysis includes; authority of the office holder, routine implementation of duties, identity of the holder, and involvement of the incumbent. Job functions include; work methods used, work coordination, responsibility, information flow, and work authority. While employment relations include joint work activities between officials and all employees in one agency.

Get PDFThis study discusses the pattern of religious guidance of learners through PKM program, learning interests, and the implications of religious guidance through PKM program in Elementary School Inpres Perumnas Palu Barat. This research is a qualitative descriptive research based on phenomenological approach, that is describing various events and its relation to learners in certain situations. Data collection is done through observation, interview, and documentation. The results showed that the pattern of religious guidance through PKM program in SDN Gugus IV (SD Inpres Perumnas) was greeted enthusiastically by the students. However, the interest of learners in following religious coaching is different, some are very enthusiastic, but some of them not enthusiastic. The implication of religious guidance through PKM program can correct and improve the ability of learners in reading and writing verses of Al Quran. They can also actualize memorization materials, daily prayers, and understand the procedures of worship in daily life

Institutionally, Islamic education grows and develops through informal, semi-formal, formal, and formal education channels organized by Islamic community organizations, foundations, and the government. Islamic education which was born along with the coming of Islam itself in the valley of Palu, even though at first it was in a very simple form, until institutionalization was enough to color the diversity of the people of Palu City while respecting the culture and wisdom of the community.
