MECHANICAL AND DURABILITY PROPERTIES OF HYBRIDEFIBER REACTIVE POWDER ON CONCRETE

    No full text
Adding fibres to concrete greatly increases the toughness of the material. The use of fibres also alters the behaviour of the fibre matrix composite after it has cracked, thereby improving its toughness Secondary cementing materials like Reactive Powder can be used to partially replace cement because of pozzolanic nature. Materials like quartz powder best suites to sand due to its physical and chemical properties, fineness etc. Also these materials are known to increase durability, resistance to sulphate attack . Our main aim is study the materials Reactive powder, Quartz powder, Silica Fume are best suitable for preparing durability of concrete for M30 Grade. In cement replaced by silica fume and quartz powder with various percentages like 5%, 10%, 15% and20%. And additional strength purpose using crimped steel fibres and poly propylene fires with various percentages like 0.5%, 1%, 1.5% and 2%. In this study mechanical properties like compressive strength, Split tensile strength and Durability properties like Acid attack test, Sulphate attack test, Alkalinity attack test, Rapid Chloride permeability test and Water permeability test and Young's modulus test can be accomplished. And the comparative study of normal concrete and fibres concrete

A REVIEW ON CONCENTRICITY MEASUREMENT OF SHAFT BY NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING

    No full text
The paper reviews the literature to replace destructive testing of shaft by non-destructive testing. Almost in all industries the concentricity checking of hollow shaft is carried out by destructive test so to overcome this there is a need to implement the design “concentricity measurement of shaft by non-destructive testing. There is also need ofintervention in design for more accurately measurement of concentricity

PAPR PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS FOR COMBINATION OF SELECTIVE MAPPING (SLM) AND EXPONENTIAL COMPANDING TECHNIQUE

    No full text
OFDM is a multicarrier transmission scheme that increase data transmission rate. However, OFDM has high PAPR problem which can cause signal distortion. A PAPR reduction scheme known as SLM-Exp was introduce in this paper to overcome high PAPR problem of OFDM. To evaluate the PAPR performance of SLM-Exp, SLM-Exp scheme along with SLM-Mu and Exponential were simulated in MATLAB for PAPR value at 1 X 10 -3of CCDF plot. PAPR performance of SLM-Exp was compare with SLM-Mu, and Exponential scheme as number of subcarrier, phase sequence and modulation scheme varied. The number of subcarrier concern in this project were 64, 128, 256, and 512. Number of phase sequence concern in this project were 8, 16 and 32. For modulation scheme, QPSK, 16 QAM, and 64 QAM were concern in this project. The result shows that PAPR value of SLM-Exp at 1 X 10-3of CCDF plot was better than SLM-Muby 0.53dB to 2.31dB and 0.10dB to 0.61dB for Exponential scheme as number of subcarrier varied. Result also shows that PAPR performance of SLM-Exp is better than SLM-Mu by 0.99dB to 1.63dB as number of phase sequence varied

The system is combined with the microcontrollerprogrammable technology and intelligent device specification. By detecting the values of sensors it can easily find out the temperature, light, gaspresent in the given area. So that critical condition can be avoided and preventive measures are successfully implemented. In system zigbee is used as wireless module at both ends for transferring the data from one section to other section. This paper deals with industrial environment monitorand device control using microcontroller. In industries there is need for data monitoringand supervisory control which overcomes human intervention as well as overall efficiency and safety.Performance of the proposed system is verified and good effects are achieved in practical application.A new design method is proposed in this paper is that the multisensors are controlled using the single system. This paper presented different technologies, parameters to analyze environment.A sensor interface device is important for sensor data collection

    DESIGN OF MILITARY ROBOT

    No full text
Robotics is playing very crucial role in various defense applications. In situations like war, saving life of each solider is very important. With development of technology in robotics today we can think of robot army for several critical situations on war field. Robotics has opened up the doors of opportunities to complete some work through robots. The moving machines with cameras are very popular to have watch on any activities going on in remote areas. Every country is willing to develop the most effective machines for military applications which can either work in war on front or can handle the activities happening in backside camp. Authors have presented the design of robot for military applications to complete some important tasks like moving some material from one place to other, keeping watch with camera

EXPERIMENTAL ELECTRO COAGULATION UNIT FOR PRETREATMENT OF MAINS WATER FOR STEAM GENERATION AT THERMAL POWER PLANTS

    No full text
The article covers the state of pre-chemical treatment of natural water at Tashtpp with the use of aluminum sulphate and the creation of an experimental unit for producing coagulant, aluminum sulphate, as well as a block diagram of the proposed electrocoagulation unit for pre-treatment and clarification of water. An electrocoagulation technology for pre-treatment and clarification of water for Tashtpp steam boilers has been developed

PHOTO VOLTAIC PEAK-POWER TRACKER USING A SQUARE-WAVE INVERTER

    No full text
Energy conversion from PV arrays received a lot of attention, especially in outer-space power system applications. Different methods of peak-power tracking have been proposed to capture the maximum power at different levels of insulation. Many peak-power trackers are implemented with a microprocessor or microcontroller, by using different control strategies. Water pumping from a PV array is a valid option to pollution-generating diesel and human-powered water pumps. However, with the battery module, the battery needs to be checked regularly. In the system with a battery, the peak power tracking can be handled by varying the duty ratio of a dc-dc converter, which is generally installed between the battery and the PV array. But in this paper we are not using battery. We are generating the power from PV module and by using MPPT feeding power to the induction by an inverter

DESIGN AND EVALUATION OF LVTSCR ESD PROTECTION DEVICE STRUCTURE FOR SUBMICRON CMOS LNA.

    No full text
ESD scheme of Radio Frequency integrated circuit is a large challenge as defect of the ESD device model and communication between the main LNA circuit and the protection circuit. The scaling down of technology increases the prerequisite of protection from release of inert electrical energy. The protection scheme should make less influence on the main circuit performance. In this paper, 0.13? m CMOS technology is used to design differential LNA circuit and ESD protection is implemented using LowVoltage Triggered Silicon Controlled Rectifier (LVTSCR). The Radio Frequency ESD scheme is implemented to the 4GHz to 5GHz linear zed LNA. The ESD and the RF LNA circuit scheme are proposed at its device level simulation. In this study, ESD shield is integrated by extracting S parameters. The Human Body Model of 4kV is used for the trial of main LNA circuit performance. The LNA topology used is differential LNA and enhancement in linearity is achieved by using RC feedback. The extracted results are compared as differential LNA circuit with and without ESD

USE OF FRP COMPOSITES FOR STRENGTHENING OF RCC COLUMNS

    No full text
Fibre Reinforced Polymer (FRP) wrapping of Reinforced Concrete (RC) columns, as a rapidly growing strengthening technique, requires appropriate design methods. However, the current available design guides are based on models, in their majority semi-empirical, and calibrated with small-scale plainconcrete specimens. These models might not be reliable in predicting the strength and ductility enhancement sought through FRP confinement in RC columns with geometric and material properties as found in practice. The percentage of strength enhancement isvariable for different shapes and sizes of FRP wrapped columns
