    This research aims to determine the development of children's fine motor skills through cutting and pasting activities using quilling paper according to picture patterns at Tabitha 1 Kindergarten, Benteng Village, Ambon City. The study employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) with quantitative descriptive data analysis across two cycles consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection phases. The research involved 13 children (7 boys and 6 girls) aged 5-6 years in group B during the 2025/2026 academic year. Fine motor skills are crucial activities for training eye-hand coordination and writing fluency, enabling children to write smoothly during their growth phase. Results from the first cycle showed one child had not yet developed adequate fine motor skills, prompting implementation of the second cycle. The second cycle assessment revealed 0% in the BB (Not Developed) category, indicating the child began developing these skills. The findings demonstrate significant improvement from cycle I to cycle II, confirming that cutting and pasting activities with quilling paper according to picture patterns effectively develop children's fine motor skills at Tabitha 1 Kindergarten, Benteng Village, Ambon City during the 2025/2026 academic year

    This study aims to determine teachers' perceptions of the implementation of the Independent Curriculum at SD Negeri 01/VII Pasar Sarolangun. The background of the study arose due to teachers' varying understandings, limited training, and obstacles in preparing teaching materials and implementing differentiated learning. The research method used a qualitative approach through observation and interviews. Using the analysis technique of Miles Hubermen, 2009. The results showed that teachers generally had a positive perception because the Independent Curriculum was considered to provide space for creativity, and more flexible learning in developing learning, and creatively according to needs. although some teachers still experienced technical and adaptation obstacles. Overall, the Independent Curriculum was considered to create more effective and student-centered learning

    Education plays a crucial role in improving the quality and character of students. One factor influencing successful learning is the use of appropriate media. Observations in grade IV of SDN Sawah Besar 02 Semarang showed that some students had not yet achieved the Learning Objective Achievement Criteria (KKTP) of 85%. Low learning outcomes were influenced by the lack of engaging learning media, resulting in limited student understanding of thematic material. Interviews with homeroom teachers confirmed that learning media were needed to increase student motivation and interest in learning. This study aimed to develop Flashcard media based on the fairy tale "Malin Kundang" as an alternative thematic learning media to improve student learning outcomes. The method used was Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model, which included the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Flashcard media were made using simple materials in the form of picture cards with questions on the back, making them attractive, easy to use, and able to stimulate learning activities. Preliminary studies indicated that the school did not yet have adequate learning media, and students were very enthusiastic about the use of visual media. The development of this flashcard media is expected to help improve students' conceptual understanding, motivation, and learning outcomes in thematic learning

    This research is motivated by the low learning motivation of fourth-grade students who often appear unfocused and hesitant to participate in classroom activities, therefore the study aims to examine how the use of rewards can influence their learning drive, and it employs a descriptive qualitative approach through observations and interviews so that students’ learning behaviors can be explored in an authentic manner, and the findings reveal that rewards help foster feelings of joy, increase students’ confidence in expressing their ideas, encourage healthy academic competition, and enhance active participation during learning, thus noticeable improvements in learning behavior emerge when rewards are applied consistently, and the study concludes that rewards have a positive impact on learning motivation when given appropriately, proportionally, and according to students’ needs, and the study further suggests that educators should be more creative in selecting reward forms that not only stimulate temporary motivation but also strengthen intrinsic motivation, while combining them with varied teaching methods to maintain an engaging classroom atmosphere and to support the optimal achievement of learning objectives. &nbsp

    Social Studies learning in elementary schools often faces obstacles in visualizing abstract materials such as cultural diversity, resulting in low student creativity and engagement. This study aims to analyze the effectivenesns of implementing the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model assisted by Digital Poster Electronic Student Worksheets (E-LKPD) in increasing student creativity. This study used a Mixed Method with a Sequential Explanatory design. The subjects were 27 fourth-grade students at SD Negeri Songgom 01. Data collection was carried out through learning achievement tests, poster product assessments, observations, and student response questionnaires. Data analysis techniques used the N-Gain test for quantitative data and descriptive analysis for qualitative data. The results showed a significant increase in student creativity, evidenced by an average N-Gain score of 0.63 in the medium category. Students were able to produce original and attractive digital poster products using the Canva application. In addition, students showed high enthusiasm and positive responses to the applied learning. It can be concluded that the PjBL model assisted by Digital Poster E-LKPD is effective in increasing student creativity and creating a joyful and meaningful learning atmosphere

    This study aims to describe the application of the classical, human relations, and human resources approaches in school management at MTsN 1 Langkat and analyze their impact on the effectiveness of school management. The study employed a qualitative case study approach. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation studies. Data analysis involved data reduction, data presentation, and descriptive conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the classical approach is implemented through a clear organizational structure, detailed division of tasks, and an orderly administration system. The human relations approach is evident in open communication, harmonious working relationships, and the involvement of teachers and other educational staff in decision-making. The human resources approach is implemented through competency development, performance evaluation, and rewards for school personnel. The integrated implementation of these three approaches positively contributes to the effectiveness of school management, increasing organizational order, work motivation, and the professionalism of school personnel

    This study aims to systematically explore the fundamental challenges and effective strategies implemented by elementary school teachers in achieving an optimal balance between their primary teaching duties in the classroom and their responsibilities in fostering extracurricular activities. This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study method to analyze the teachers' lived experiences. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis related to time management and curriculum. The results revealed several key challenges, such as tight time management, high administrative burden, physical and mental exhaustion, and limited resources. Schedule conflicts between core lessons and extracurricular activities often posed a significant obstacle. To address these challenges, teachers implemented several effective strategies. These strategies included: (1) careful planning and scheduling; (2) delegation of tasks and collaboration with fellow teachers or parents; (3) utilization of technology to improve administrative efficiency; and (4) development of stress management skills. In conclusion, although balancing teaching duties and fostering extracurricular activities is a complex challenge, teachers can manage it effectively with well-planned strategies and support from the school. This study recommends more flexible school policies and adequate resource allocation to support teachers' dual role

    The exponential growth of artificial intelligence has sparked crucial debates regarding the potential weakening of teachers' roles in educating students. This article argues that the role of teachers as humanistic educators cannot possibly be replaced by technology. By using a systematic literature review method, this article proposes strengthening the role of teachers elementary school through a critical pedagogy framework harmonized with the local wisdom of Pupuh Sunda. Critical pedagogy rooted in Freire's thinking provides a foundation for developing students' critical awareness of technology. Meanwhile, the teaching of Pupuh Sunda offers a treasure trove of noble values such as patience, empathy, and responsibility that are relevant to character education. The synthesis between critical pedagogy and Pupuh Sunda produces transformative teaching strategies, where teachers not only transfer knowledge but also facilitate critical reflection, build character, and cultivate cultural sensitivity. In conclusion, the era of artificial intelligence actually serves as a momentum for teachers to reaffirm their urgency as agents of humanization that cannot be replaced by any sophisticated algorithm

    The implementation of Laissez-Faire leadership style by the principal that is carried out appropriately and wisely will have a big impact on improving students' non-academic achievements in elementary schools. This study aims to explore the implementation of Laissez-Faire leadership style of the principal of SDN Alalak Utara 2 in improving students' non-academic achievements in schools. This study uses a qualitative approach with a causative study design. The research sample includes the principal, teachers, coaches, and students. The results of the analysis explain that the use of a free-based leadership style can improve students' non-academic achievements, this is proven by interview data, observations and documentation found by researchers at SDN Alalak Utara 2. This research activity was conducted to prove that a free leadership style can also have a positive impact on schools, especially on the achievements achieved by schools

    Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis efektivitas model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa sekolah dasar melalui kajian literatur. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada masih dominannya pembelajaran konvensional yang berpusat pada guru, sehingga siswa kurang aktif, minim interaksi, dan rendah dalam berpikir kritis. Kajian dilakukan dengan metode library research terhadap sebelas artikel terbitan tahun 2016–2025 yang relevan, kemudian dianalisis secara tematik untuk menemukan pola efektivitas model Jigsaw dalam berbagai konteks pembelajaran. Hasil sintesis menunjukkan bahwa model Jigsaw secara konsisten meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada berbagai mata pelajaran seperti Matematika, IPA, IPS, dan PKN. Peningkatan tersebut ditunjukkan melalui kenaikan rata-rata nilai, ketuntasan belajar, partisipasi aktif, motivasi belajar, serta kemampuan komunikasi siswa. Mekanisme kerja kelompok ahli dan kelompok asal terbukti memperkuat pemahaman konsep karena setiap siswa berperan sebagai “ahli” pada submateri tertentu. Kajian ini menyimpulkan bahwa model Jigsaw efektif sebagai strategi pembelajaran kolaboratif yang dapat diterapkan secara luas di sekolah dasar untuk meningkatkan kualitas proses dan hasil belajar
