SIGNAGE AS A MEDIUM TO STRENGTHEN CULTURAL IDENTITY: A CASE STUDY AT KAMPUNG BUDAYA SINDANG BARANG BOGOR
Signage plays an important role in cultural heritage destinations, functioning not only as wayfinding tools but also as communicative devices that reflects the cultural identity of a place. In many regions, signage has evolved into a medium for cultural storytelling through the use of local language, symbols, and traditional elements. However, in several heritage sites in Indonesia, the cultural integration of signage remains underdeveloped. This study investigates how signage contributes to the communication of cultural identity in Kampung Budaya Sindang Barang, one of the oldest traditional villages in Bogor. Despite its active role in preserving Sundanese tradition through rituals, architecture, and educational programs, the village’s existing signage remains limited in both quantity and cultural representation. This research employs qualitative case study approach, using observation, interviews, and documentation to explore signage functions within the village. Analysis was conducted using a SWOT matrix to identify internal and external factors, while the pyramid signage model was applied to examine signage through its information content, graphic, and hardware system. The findings reveal that the current signage primarily fulfills functional purposes such as navigation and regulation, without incorporating Sundanese language, symbols or motifs. This lack of cultural representation reduces signage effectiveness in communicating identity and engaging visitors. The result demonstrates a significant gap between the cultural richness of the site and its ability to express identity through design. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of how signage can serve as a medium for cultural expression and calls attention to the need for contextually relevant signage in heritage tourism destination.

THE ROLE OF PEER SOCIAL SUPPORT AND LONELINESS IN PREDICTING ONLINE GAMING ADDICTION AMONG ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CHILDREN
The advancement of digital technology has led to a significant increase in online game usage among elementary school children. While gaming may offer certain cognitive and emotional benefits, excessive use poses a risk of addiction, which can negatively impact children's academic, social, and psychological well-being. This study aims to examine the role of peer social support and loneliness in predicting online gaming addiction among elementary school students. Employing a quantitative approach with a causal-comparative method, the study involved 62 students from grades IV to VI in Bekasi Regency and Municipality, selected through random sampling based on criteria for online gaming addiction. Data were collected using three psychological scales, each validated and tested for reliability. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression, preceded by classical assumption tests. The results revealed that neither peer social support nor loneliness, whether individually or jointly, significantly predicted online gaming addiction. These findings suggest that online gaming addiction in elementary-aged children cannot be explained solely by psychosocial factors, but must also consider other elements such as parental supervision, self-control, and game design features. The study highlights the need for more comprehensive and context-based intervention strategies tailored to children's environments
Hubungan Minat Baca dengan Prestasi Belajar Bahasa Indonesia Siswa Kelas V Sekolah Dasar Torsina III Singkawang
Abstract. This study aims to determine the relationship between reading interest and Indonesian language learning achievement of fifth grade students at SD Torsina III Singkawang. The type of research used is quantitative with a correlational research design. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and documentary studies. Data were analyzed using a correlation test with a level of 0.05 and looking for variable contributions with the determinant coefficient formula. The results of the study showed that there was a significant relationship (correlation) between reading interest and learning achievement. With a correlation coefficient of 0.454, which means it has a moderate relationship based on the correlation level. Reading interest has a contribution of 21%. The implications of this study indicate that efforts are needed to increase students' reading interest in order to have a positive impact on learning achievement.Keywords: Relationship; reading interest; learning achievement; Indonesian
Problematika Guru Dalam Pembelajaran Ipa Pada Kurikulum Merdeka
This study aims to describe the challenges faced by teachers in teaching Natural Sciences (IPA) within the implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka at the elementary school level. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis. The subject of this study was a classroom teacher at SDN 112/I Perumnas who had applied the Kurikulum Merdeka in her teaching practice. The findings revealed seven key themes: limited availability of learning media, time and logistical constraints, teacher creativity in overcoming resource limitations, varied teaching methods, application of Problem-Based Learning and Project-Based Learning approaches, the adequacy yet suboptimal use of learning facilities, and the gradual adaptation process to the new curriculum. These findings indicate that while teachers have made efforts to implement active and contextual learning, significant challenges remain, both technical and systemic. Therefore, continuous support is needed in the form of training, provision of instructional media, and policies that promote teacher flexibility and creativity in effectively implementing the curriculum
PENGARUH MEDIA SOSIAL TERHADAP KESEHATAN MENTAL GENERASI Z: MENELITI DAMPAK KETERGANTUNGAN DIGITAL
This study aims to analyze the impact of social media addiction on the mental health of Generation Z. Generation Z, consisting of individuals born between 1997 and 2012, is a cohort that grew up in the digital era and is highly connected to various social media platforms. Although social media offers various benefits, such as connectivity and access to information, excessive addiction can lead to various mental health problems, including anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. Through surveys and in-depth interviews with respondents from various backgrounds, this study identified patterns of social media use and its impact on psychological well-being. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between time spent on social media and increased negative mental health symptoms. This study provides important insights for parents, educators, and policymakers to understand the risks associated with social media use among Generation Z and encourage healthier usage practices and interventions needed to support their mental health
MENINGKATKAN KUALITAS PENDIDIKAN DASAR DENGAN PENDEKATAN FOKUS PADA PELANGGAN (STUDI KASUS SD NEGERI DI KOTA SAMARINDA)
The quality of primary education is a fundamental element in the development of qualified human resources. In an effort to improve the quality of education, the application of quality management principles, including the principle of customer focus, becomes crucial. Customer satisfaction, which includes students, parents, the community, and other stakeholders, is a key indicator in assessing the success of an educational institution. Identifying the needs and expectations of education service users is essential in providing adequate and satisfactory services. This study highlights the importance of customer satisfaction in the context of primary education as a benchmark for the success of educational delivery. Effective communication between teachers and students, as well as responsiveness to feedback and inquiries from customers, plays an integral role in improving educational service quality. By understanding and analyzing customer satisfaction, educational institutions can continuously innovate and enhance the quality of the services they provide
TANTANGAN IMPLEMENTASI PROYEK P5 DI SDN BELITUNG SELATAN 1: PERBEDAAN PEMAHAMAN ANTARA SEKOLAH DAN ORANG TUA
Curriculum development in elementary schools is very important in ensuring better quality education. This study aims to understand how SDN Belitung Selatan 1 implements the curriculum and the challenges faced in the process. The research method used was an interview with the principal as the main informant. The results of the study showed that the implementation of the curriculum was carried out in stages from 2020 to 2024, with various obstacles faced, such as differences in implementation stages between classes, limited time for teachers to study the curriculum, and challenges in implementing the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5). Several solutions have been implemented, such as the formation of teacher study groups, socialization to parents, and periodic evaluation of curriculum implementation. With these efforts, the implementation of the curriculum can run more effectively even though there are still obstacles that need to be overcome
Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Digital Scrapbook dalam Keterampilan Membaca Pemahaman Teks Narasi pada Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia Kelas V Sekolah Dasar
Keterampilan membaca sangat mempengaruhi proses pembelajaran yang efektif. Dalam menguasai keterampilan membaca, media pembelajaran yang menarik dan menyenangkan dapat membantu peserta didik untuk menarik minat membaca. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (RnD) yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran yang membantu peserta didik menguasai keterampilan membaca pemahaman teks narasi berbentuk Digital Scrapbook. Penelitian ini menggunakan model penelitian ADDIE yaitu Analysis (Analisis), Design (Perancangan), Development (Pengembangan), Implementation (Pelaksanaan), dan Evaluation (Evaluasi). Teknik analisis data penelitian ini meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Setelah melalui tahap expert review, uji pengguna one to one evaluation, uji pengguna small group evaluation, dan melalui tahap perbaikan produk. Media pembelajaran digital scrapbook dinyatakan sangat layak digunakan. Skor kelayakan expert review sebesar 93% dan skor kelayakan uji pengguna sebesar 100% dengan 15 responden. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran dapat membantu guru dan menarik minat membaca peserta didik dalam membaca pemahaman teks narasi
SIKAP KEBERAGAMAAN DITINJAU DARI LATAR BELAKANG KELUARGA
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana sikap keberagamaan remaja karang taruna dengan melihat latar belakang keluarga mereka. Latar belakang masalah yang mendasari adalah adanya keragaman sikap keberagamaan di kalangan remaja yang disebabkan oleh faktor pendidikan orang tua, pekerjaan, dan kondisi sosial ekonomi keluarga. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif melalui tahapan pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa remaja dengan latar belakang keluarga yang religius dan stabil secara ekonomi cenderung memiliki sikap keberagamaan yang tinggi. Selanjutnya, remaja yang berasal dari keluarga dengan kondisi ekonomi menengah dan pendidikan agama yang cukup umumnya menunjukkan sikap keberagamaan yang moderat atau sedang—tidak terlalu kuat namun tetap menunjukkan praktik keagamaan yang konsisten. Sementara itu, remaja dari keluarga dengan tingkat pendidikan agama dan kondisi sosial ekonomi yang rendah menunjukkan sikap keberagamaan yang cenderung lemah. Tipologi Clifford Geertz—Santri, Priyayi, dan Abangan—digunakan untuk memetakan keberagamaan remaja berdasarkan latar belakang keluarga. PENDEKATAN MULTIKULTURAL PEMBELAJARAN PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM UNTUK MEMPERKUAT TOLERANSI ANTAR AGAMA
This study aims to describe the application of a multicultural approach in the learning of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SMP Negeri 2 Kraksaan. The main focus of this research is how to prepare materials, deliver materials, classroom interactions, and the role of teachers in instilling the values of tolerance and inclusivity among students. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a case study design, which involves in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation analysis. The results show that the multicultural approach applied has succeeded in creating an inclusive and tolerant atmosphere, even though the majority of students are Muslim. The preparation of materials that prioritize universal values such as compassion, justice, and tolerance, as well as the delivery of material in moderation, plays an important role in forming an open attitude and mutual respect between students. In addition, open classroom interactions and discussions between students from different religious backgrounds also strengthen their understanding of the importance of coexistence in diversity. The role of PAI teachers as agents of change is very significant in instilling these values, both in the classroom and through extracurricular activities that support inclusivity.
