IMPLEMENTATION OF OPEN CLASS AT FLIPPED CLASSROOM BASED ON INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY IN ISLAMIC STUDIES SUBJECT AT PHARMACY DEPARTMENT UII
Islamic Studies is a main university subject which is also taught at Pharmacy Department. The teaching problem so far is that students when taking lectures are considered not so ready to receive material. They go into class as if they are just carrying out a formality. The worst thing is just being present so that attendance calculations can qualify for the Final Semester Examination. This condition must be changed immediately. The implementation of the Flipped Classroom method aims to make students already have the material to be delivered in class before the lecture begins. Students are expected to be better prepared to follow the learning process. Flipped Classroom innovation is used by optimize the Information Technology (IT). Some applications like social media Youtube and Google Classroom are maximized. The rise of social media among students must be bridged not banned. Youtube is one of the social media favored by students. This learning program also emphasizes student activity. The main purpose of the implementation of this learning is to analyze the most appropriate teaching methods by promoting Student Centered Learning (SCL). Open Class is one of the methodologies that are adopted in this learning. The findings obtained from this model of learning are that students are far more ready to receive lecture material. Because it has been studied before. One way to measure program achievement is to look at student reflective videos related to the themes discussed in class. The researcher can conclude that the application of Open Class can help improve the quality of learning

WORK LIFE BALANCE OF WHITE COLLAR EMPLOYEES IN A MULTINATIONAL COMPANY AND A JOINT VENTURE IN BANGLADESH
This paper is based on Work Life Balance (WLB) in a Multinational corporation (MNC) and a Joint venture (JV) in Bangladesh. It focuses on the extent to which companies have implemented WLB policies for their executive employees, and the factors that inhibit and enhance these organizations’ ability to implement WLB. The literature on WLB discourse has shown that WLB is still at its infancy in Bangladesh. Provision of WLB policies is relatively neglected in organizations in Bangladesh as compared to the other advanced countries. However, MNCs and JVs from developed economies are playing a crucial role in transferring best practices to their operations in developing countries. Therefore, a MNC and a JV were selected to pursue this research. The MNC was chosen from retailing and the JV from telecommunication, as these sectors are exposed to foreign business and currently, they make the most significant contribution towards GDP.The research used semi-structured interviews and the findings showed that WLB provisions are unsatisfactory in foreign companies in Bangladesh, although respondents’ reports showed that they are better than the Bangladeshi local companies. These foreign companies claim that there is hardly any scope for introducing extensive WLB policies in the Bangladeshi operations. They are more likely to adopt the local practices than the practices of their parent companies. Due to widespread job insecurity, employees are concerned about maintaining their jobs, and they do not believe in demanding WLB. The only factors, which may contribute favorably towards the employees’ WLB, are managerial support, good job autonomy and friendly working environment.
COMBATTING EXTREME ABSENTEEISM OF GRADE 11 TVL LEARNERS USING STRATEGIC TASK-BASED AFFIRMATIVE REINFORCEMENTS (STAR) TECHNIQUE IN PRACTICAL RESEARCH 1 CLASSROOM
This study aimed to combat against the extreme absenteeism of the Grade 11 TVL (Bread & Pastry) students using the Strategic Task-Based Affirmative Reinforcements (STAR) Technique in Practical Research 1 classroom during the second semester of Academic Year 2018-2019 at Tarlac National High School-Main. Anchored with the Incentive Theory of Motivation that states that the people can be motivated using extrinsic factors and argues that people are more motivated to perform activities if they receive a reward afterward rather than simply because they enjoy the activities themselves (Lumen, 2018), the researcher devised a new technique called Strategic Task-Based Affirmative Reinforcements (STAR) Technique which is a four-week extrinsic motivational procedure employed to the experimental group (students with five or more absences prior to the study) who manifested extreme absenteeism. STAR Technique involved four positive reinforcements to engage the students in attending their Practical Research 1 classes. Using both qualitative and quasi-experimental design of action research, the findings of this study showed that verbal reproof was not an effective strategy to minimize the number of absences of the controlled group, while STAR technique significantly improve the attendance of the learners. Thus, learners most likely to attend to their classes if they are recognized and given awards.

STUDY ON THE PREFERENCE OF SENIOR CITIZENS IN URBAN PARK PUBLIC FACILITIES
As aging has become one of the social trends in many countries and regions around the world, the urban park environment for senior citizens' activities and social places has become one of the concerns. This study explores the preferences of senior citizens for the use of public facilities in urban parks. Through six non-participatory observations of the use of public facilities in the park by the elderly in Taipei Daan Forest Park, Taiwan, it was found that the public facilities most used by the elderly in the park were seats, followed by green space, then Trails and gazebos, In addition, through the chi-square analysis, it is found that the gender distribution of the elderly users in the physical fitness facilities and the bird watching area is significantly different, the proportion of male users is higher than that of females, and the gender distribution of the elderly users in the green space active areas also exists significant difference, namely the proportion of female elderly users is higher than that of males. The study found that it can provide some reference for urban park planners, park planning departments and park managers.
DIVERSITY AND STRATEGIC HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT: LITERATURE REVIEW
This age of globalisation has made the world seem smaller. Which has made companies claim their foothold in other cultural diversities. Making the workforce more diverse than ever, and it is still becoming diverse day by day. The interest in the term diversity began in the United States of America in the 1980s.Workforce diversity has been and is one of the main problem for a manager of human resource management in modern companies. And despite noticing this grave problem, various models in this field of human resource management consider workforce as homogenous and generic. Leaders need to understand the need for managing diverse organization to their own strengths than neglecting or looking at it from just one viewpoint. This will increase efficiency and productivity of the organization as diverse teams will produce better results and the organization will gain a market advantage. The main aim of this paper is to view the literature of diversity among employees in strategic human resource management. Nevertheless, the efforts to develop and understand cross-culturality and diversity-oriented models still remain underdeveloped. The objective being, identifying limitations in previous research to drive positive future research in this field with newer models to determine a solution to this problem. There is a need to create strategies that create cultural environments incorporating values of humanity. And what this paper suggests is that we need is a completely new set of strategies of the human resource management to manage a heterogeneous workforce.
EXPECTATIONS AND REALITY: VIDEO GAMES IN EDUCATION FROM TEACHERS' PERSPECTIVE
Games integration could be a catalyst for changing pedagogical practices. however, the effectiveness of using video games in education depend on teacher’s acceptance to use video games in their classroom. The purpose of this quantitative study was to investigate Saudi teachers’ perspective toward video game integration in education at elementary, middle, and high schools’ levels in Saudi Arabia; and found differences in teachers’ attitudes between gender and teachers experiences and level of teaching. It also investigated relationships between teachers’ philosophy based on three main learning theories (behaviorism, cognitivism, and constructivism) and their perspectives toward video game use in the classroom. There were 930 male and female teachers who participated in the study. Overall, the results of this study showed Saudi teachers’ attitudes toward video games were fairly positive. Analysis found a relationship between teachers’ philosophy of teaching and their perspectives toward using video games in their classroom for learning. A moderate negative correlation was found between behaviorist philosophy and teachers’ attitudes. On the other hand, there was a moderate positive correlation between cognitivism and constructivism philosophies Saudi teachers’ attitudes toward using video games in classrooms
FOREIGN DIRECT INVESTMENT DETERMINANTS IN THE MANUFACTURING SECTORS IN MALAYSIA
Foreign direct investment (FDI) is a vital driver for economic growth in a country. Hence, FDI determinants should be identified in order to promote FDI. FDI could stimulate economic growth and economic growth could attract FDI. This study examines foreign direct investment (FDI) determinants in the main manufacturing sectors and the impact of FDI on economic growth in Malaysia. Moreover, this study examines the link between FDI and real national income. The vector error correction model (VECM) is used to estimate FDI determinants and the link between FDI and real national income. The results of the vector VECM show that the coefficients of real exchange rate are found to have positive impact on FDI. The coefficients of real national income, trade openness and real infrastructure are mostly found to have positive impact on FDI whilst the coefficients of real average wage and financial development are mostly found to have negative impact on FDI. Autocracy and polity are found to be significant determinants for many manufacturing sectors in the short run. Inflation is found to influence negatively FDI in the transport equipment sector. The Asian financial crisis, 1997-1998 is found to have influential impact on FDI in the petroleum products sector and the chemical and chemical products sector. These findings reveal that FDI determinants are not exactly the same for all the manufacturing sectors. Therefore, FDI would be attracted through a variety of policies. FDI is found to Granger cause real national income for the basic metal products sector and the chemical and chemical products sector whilst real national income is found to Granger cause FDI for the petroleum products sector. These findings demonstrate that FDI and economic growth are closely related. FDI can sustain economic growth in Malaysia. FDI is crucial for economic growth.

DEVELOPING INDICATORS TO MEASURE SUSTAINABLE MARINE TOURISM DEVELOPMENT STUDY CASE: IN SELONG BELANAK VILLAGE, WEST PRAYA, CENTRAL LOMBOK PROVINCE
Tourism has been selected as one of the strategic sectors to reach Indonesia sustainable development goals. Land, marine, cultural, and other type of tourism have been developed, but importantly, Indonesia tourism development has been driven mostly by government strategic decision, as it relates with infrastructure. Although Indonesia is a country with the third longest coasts in the world, however, the coastal tourism is less developed. Beside infrastructure, coastal tourism is more complex because it relates to access of both land and water, with more diverse community. The tourism management study stresses that development indicators are necessary to manage the process of shifting one economy, such as fishing or farming village, toward sustainable tourism based economy. It requires the integration of policy, implementation, evaluation and community feedbacks. This study proposes indicators to measure coastal tourism in Indonesia, which covers 11 indicators that reflects the dimensions of sustainable tourism. Cluster analysis is used to group the indicators, and the indicator is developed and tested at Selong Belanak village, a costal tourism in Lombok, Indonesia.
