CASE STUDY ON ATTITUDE AND BEHAVIOR OF SCHOOL LUNCH OFFICIALS REGARDING UTILIZATION OF LOCAL PRODUCE -FOCUSING ON THE DIFFERENCE OF OCCUPATION
This study was conducted in January 2010 to identify influential factors for utilization of local produce in school lunch services and factor-correlations in terms of employment types and item types and to review the evaluation index for shokuiku. The research participants were 56 nutrition teachers, 91 school principals, and 23 school lunch directors. The study revealed that school lunch staff had high awareness and behavioral motivation for using local ingredients. School lunch directors were concerned about managerial aspects such as “high price” and “not enough variety and quantity” for making lunches with local ingredients only. The principals expressed high opinion on educational or administrative advantages of using local ingredients in “increased number of local cuisine in the menu” and “securing food safety” but showed low awareness on problems related to using local produce to cook for entire student body such as “longer cooking time” and “not enough providers.” Correlation between questionnaire items revealed that there was a strong positive relation between items emphasizing advantages of using local produce. The results showed that using local produce for providing school lunches could induce changes in behaviors, such as frequenting local produce markets, and it is considered to become a good evaluation index for developing shokuiku

SEASONING PEDAGOGY: INCLUSION OF CULINARY APPROACHES IN LEARNING
Cuisine and culinary traditions are potent tools while looking at the various facets of a nation, race, community, sect, religion, class, caste or group. Culinary studies are a type of pedagogy that can help the students in understanding the nuances of a particular culture and the intricacies of their functioning respectively. It would be a more empathetic way of unraveling, learning, analyzing, evaluating, and understanding any given part of history or culture, than mere facts. In the 21st century, we aim to create a pedagogy that emphasizes global empathy and sensitivity. Culinary studies as an area of study and research are promising in its approach, wherein the universality of traditions and practices are brought to the forefront. By re-visioning, our histories from a culinary point of view we can fill in the subaltern silences about gender, sexuality, race, class, and caste. By reevaluating the role food plays in global politics, from time immemorial, we can bring in a more holistic way of assessing our past. This also aids in bringing about policies and changes that benefit the minorities, since culinary analysis promotes inclusive approaches and resolutions. In an age where gastronomical diplomacy is flourishing widely, including Culinary studies as a part of the pedagogy and using its inclusive powers would aid in raising sensitivity in humanity. Further, Cuisine goes hand in hand with various other fields of study such as science, arts, philosophy, and economics, etc., which help in promoting more interdisciplinary studies that can provide tangible results. Hence, this paper attempts to focus on the need for a conscious addition of culinary themes, devices, and perspectives in academic analysis and pedagogy
THE INEDIBLE: VISUALS AND FOOD ANXIETY
Anxiety about food as a principal item of consumption is universal. Who can and can not eat what and when, are, in most cases, normatively settled. Any violation of such norm generates anxiety. Though the focus of this paper is on the visuals, it is needless to point out, seeing food or drink invariably acts in conjunction with smelling and hearing. We usually refer to the enticing power of visuals of edible. But images of food/drink also generate anxiety regarding inedible, leading sometimes to dietary changes like the decrease in consumption of red meat, street food or food from restaurants. This paper explores how the visuals often set up, sometimes by design, distraction, disenchantment and caution - thereby inhibiting consumption. The visuals that generate food anxiety in regard to routinized everyday consumption as well as to the consumption experience in extraordinary times have been probed. The site chosen is the city of Kolkata. The inquiry is confined to women because they are still in charge of supervising food and hence have a definite association with the circulation of food taboos. The work is confined to the upper-middle-class or rich sections of the city women because among the poor and food-insecure people, there is not much of a choice regarding consumption. The focus is on contemporary experience, without neglecting its historical dynamics.

ON-THE-JOB TRAINING IN COFFEEHOUSE CHAINS EMPLOYEES- A NEW TREND OR A PREREQUISITE?
The present study examines the relationship between coffeehouse chains employees’ on-the-job training and their productivity, as factors that may have contributed to the sector’s development during the economic crisis in Greece. The reason for conducting this research was the development and expansion of training for employees in coffeehouse chains as an HR practice. This is quantitative research, with a sample consisted of 175 coffeehouse chain employees in Thessaloniki, Greece. The required data were collected using Job Training and Job Satisfaction Survey (only the part related to job training) developed by Schmidt (2004) and Job Performance Scale developed by Williams and Anderson (1991). The results of this study showed that there is a significant and positive relationship between the sample’s on-the-job training and their productivity and thus, this training constitutes a predictive factor for the employees’ productivity. Findings also revealed that women and older employees in coffeehouse chains evaluated training as more important than men and younger employees. Similar results were observed with respect to the relationship between age and productivity, as younger employees had lower productivity. This research contributes to the relevant field by highlighting the impact of training on employee productivity. As the coffeehouse industry is a crucial sector for the Greek economy, further studies on the job’s characteristics and employees’ well-being should be conducted
A STUDY OF PRIORITY PRINCIPLE IN INDONESIAN AGRARIAN LAW SYSTEM
Land rights in agrarian law consist of two types, namely land rights for a specified period and land rights with no specific period. The community has a lack of understanding regarding land rights over a specified period, and thus, it has caused problems in the community; precisely, if the land rights have expired, the government will erase the rights and claim it as state-owned land. However, the previous landowners assumed that the existing building was their property even though the land rights had been terminated. There are a high number of disputes over ownership of land rights due to maturity. Therefore, we examine the existence of priority principles in the acquisition of land rights that have matured. The research is qualitative legal research that uses the statutory approach, conceptual approach, and case approach. Results show that the holder of land rights that have matured can be given a priority in regaining land rights, but with certain conditions set by the government

PHENOMENOGRAPHICAL COLLOQUIES OF THE HALLYU WAVE AMONG SELECTED STUDENTS OF TAYTAY SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL, PHILIPPINES
The invasion of the South Korean culture in the Philippines has spanned in almost three decades where the former started exporting their drama series that caught a wide public attention in Philippine TV on 1990’s. The evolution since then was foreseen inevitable that in fact, from 1.0 (K-drama), 2.0 (K-pop), 3.0 (K-culture), it continues to evolve into 4.0 (K-technology and online games) and the developing and ongoing 5.0 (a possible pan-pacific cross over). In this study, the Hallyu wave was carefully delineated by the researchers thru extensive literature reviews and further affirmed by the colloquies of the selected senior High School participants using the Phenomenographical approach. A Focus-Group Discussion was conducted that anchored with the theories of Soft Power (Nye, 1990), Desire Fulfillment (Heathwood, 2014), Cultural Hybridization (Ryoo, 2009), and Cultural Intermediaries (Maguire and Matthews, 2012). From the results of the colloquies, the researchers were able to bracket and expound qualitatively the following analysis and synthesis of results based from the responses of the participants: struggle, ingenuity of ways, influences, inexplicable satisfaction, fandom bonding, the irony of situation, inspired by idol and dream away. These results paralleled the theories used to support the study and as such, proved the continuing wave and fever of the Hallyu culture in the Philippine archipelago. In future studies, the researchers recommend that a western counterpart in the area of adaptation and appreciation could be explored, both quantitatively and qualitatively
