INVESTIGATION OF DIFFERENT TECHNOLOGY AREAS IN SPORTS IN THE DIMENSION OF ATHLETE MENTAL HEALTH
Sports technologies have been in continuous and uninterrupted 'change and development' from the day they first started to emerge until today. With each passing year, sports technologies are developing by taking reference from each other through new technologies. With the development of sports technologies, generations, encounter more 'new and advanced' technologies every day. Sports have an important place in protecting the physical and psychological health of individuals. In addition to physical health, mental health also has an important place in sports. In this respect, the aim of the current research is to examine different technology areas in sports in terms of mental health. For this purpose, as a data collection tool; DergiPark, Higher Education Institution National Thesis Center (YÖKTEZ) and Google Scholar were searched for Turkish sources and Web of Science and PubMed databases for English sources with the keywords "Sport Technology", "Sport Mental Health", "Sport Entertainment" and "Technology Addiction". As a result of the research; it is seen that technology in sports is used for different purposes such as 'entertainment, exercise and performance sports'. In some cases, the use of technology in more equipment or time than needed can create technology addiction in individuals and negatively affect their mental health. On the other hand, it is thought that conscious technology users can transform their existing sports/exercises into an efficient and fun way with sports technologies developed for different purposes. In this respect, it was concluded that, as with all new developing technologies, it is important to determine the needs well when using these technologies and to be a conscious user of sports technologies in terms of mental health
UNLOCKING THE DRIVE TO LEARN: NAVIGATING INDIVIDUAL, FAMILIAL, AND EDUCATIONAL DYNAMICS OF COGNITIVE ENGAGEMENT IN UNIVERSITY STUDENTS
This research paper explores the multi-dimensional factors influencing cognitive engagement among university students in Shanghai, integrating individual, familial, and institutional dynamics. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, the study draws on data from the "China College Student Survey (CCSS)" to measure cognitive engagement through a specifically designed Likert scale. The study sample consists of 1,452 valid responses from 1,600 distributed questionnaires across six universities. Through descriptive statistics, correlation, and regression analyses, the research identifies significant determinants of cognitive engagement. Key findings indicate that cognitive engagement is profoundly influenced not only by individual characteristics—such as holding leadership positions—but also by familial factors like parental education and social networks, as well as comprehensive institutional factors including teaching quality and university infrastructure. Notably, urban-rural backgrounds and family economic conditions emerge as significant moderators, affecting how institutional and familial inputs influence students’ cognitive engagement. Results underscore the critical role of tailored educational strategies and supportive familial and institutional environments in enhancing cognitive engagement. The research contributes to educational theory by providing empirical support for the integration of multi-dimensional factors in understanding student engagement, offering actionable insights for educational policy makers and institution administrators aiming to foster enriched learning environments
THE CORRELATION OF LOGISTICS PERFORMANCE AND ECONOMIC CONDITION: COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS BETWEEN DEVELOPING AND DEVELOPED COUNTRIES: Received: 26th December 2023 Revised: 4th January 2024, 8th January 2024 Accepted: 2nd January 2024
Logistics sector is raising attention as previous studies have shown that it could directly affect a country’s economic condition positively. Developing countries recognizing this opportunity should be trying to pursue and improve their logistics condition so that they can catch up and mature in their own economic condition just like the developed countries. Yet, how close the gaps between are developed and developing countries if we look at the perspective of supply chain through the logistics sector. In this research, a total of 588 observations were divided and classified into 2, namely developed and developing and analyzed whether supply chain performances through logistics performance have direct correlation with that country’s economic condition and the comparative analysis the difference between the uses of the logistics sector in each classification economic condition. This research finds that supply chain performance through logistics performance do have a direct impact on a country's economic condition. However, it was also found that the impact is statistically insignificant as there are limited data samples and other variables that were not considered. This research will covet the supply chain and economic condition field of studies and this research also provides recommendation for future research

A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF AMERICAN AND CHINESE CULTURES ACROSS SIX DIMENSIONS
In our rapidly advancing global world, technology, transportation, and communication are evolving at an unprecedented pace. Consequently, it has become increasingly common for individuals to work and study in foreign countries. Those who choose to live abroad must possess adaptability and the ability to adjust, as the cultural landscapes of their destination countries can differ significantly from their countries of origin. Notably, individuals from the Eastern Hemisphere may experience stark cultural contrasts when transitioning from their native Eastern culture to a Western culture. This paper aims to compare the cultural dimensions of China, representing Eastern culture, with those of the USA, representing Western culture. The analysis employs Hofstede’s Value Survey Model (VSM, 2013) to evaluate six cultural dimensions. The results reveal striking differences between China and the USA in four dimensions: Power Distance Index (PDI), Individualism (IDV), Long-Term Orientation (LTO), and Indulgence (IDL). Conversely, the two countries exhibit similarities in the dimensions of Masculinity (MAS) and Uncertainty Avoidance (UAI)

A BRIEF REVIEW OF NUCLEAR-FACTOR-KAPPA-B IN SILICO STUDIES
This mini-review briefly summarises the use of computer-aided tools and research developments in nuclear-factor-kappa-b (NF-kB) within the last ten years. Computer-aided or in silico studies on the NF-kB complex give hope for developing potential therapeutic targets for various diseases involving the NF-KB protein. In silico investigations, as opposed to in vivo and in vitro research, have the advantages of being more exact and time-efficient and eliminating the utilisation of humans and animals. It provides a framework for evaluating the activity of prospective therapies against molecular targets, predicting their activity based on a compound's structure even before it has been synthesised for additional in vitro and in vivo research. Targeting NF-kB protein is crucial as it can implicate many diseases, such as immune and inflammatory responses, involved in stress response, cellular growth, and apoptosis. These findings are critical for directing future research into the NF-kB protein, its function in human disorders, and prospective therapeutic targets

SOME FINDINGS ON THE POLITICAL PARTICIPATION OF GENERATION Z YOUTH IN TÜRKİYE : Received: 28th November 2024 Revised: 7th December 2024, 10th December 2024 Accepted: 5th December 2024
In recent years, there has been significant interest in generational studies across various disciplines of social sciences. Particularly, the political participation behaviors and voting tendencies of individuals known as Generation Z have drawn the attention of both academicians and political decision-makers. However, in Türkiye, studies examining the relationship between generational voter tendencies and political participation preferences are limited and are generally conducted on a regional or educational basis, focusing on specific provinces, regions, or schools. Based on the assumption that a descriptive and explanatory study on the general political participation tendencies of Generation Z in Türkiye is needed, this research was designed. The study considered citizens living in Türkiye as the population, and a representative sample was determined. Since the variable in question would be measured at the societal level, the sample was distributed at the NUTS II level. To achieve a representative sample, a minimum size of 417 was calculated with a ±3% margin of error at a 95% confidence level. Accounting for potential missing data, the sample size was increased to 500. The sample included 26 provinces and 31 districts from Level 2 of Türkiye's Statistical Regional Units Classification. The data obtained were analyzed using SPSS (Statistical Packages for the Social Sciences), focusing on the general voter tendencies of Generation Z. The analyses included reliability analysis, frequency analysis, chi-square tests, and difference tests. The findings revealed that 85.8% of participants were not members of any political party, and 67.4% did not believe in solving problems through politics. Furthermore, 41.6% identified themselves as sympathetic voters, while 34.2% considered party leadership important in voting decisions. Additionally, 66.2% of respondents stated that Türkiye needs a new political party, and 60.6% expressed support for a return to the parliamentary system
AN EXAMINATION OF PARENTAL SATISFACTION WITH CHILDCARE SERVICES IN HOSPITAL-AFFILIATED PRESCHOOLS IN TAIWAN
This study analyzed parents’ satisfaction towards the facilities, child care service, and environment of hospital- affiliated Preschools in Taiwan. Suggestions were provided for hospital-affiliated Preschools to improve the service satisfaction. The research questionnaires for this study were distributed from September to November 2023, as the questionnaire survey method was adopted to study the service satisfaction of eight hospital-affiliated Preschools in Taiwan. A total of 1183 questionnaires were sent out, and 736 valid questionnaires were retrieved. The questionnaire was reviewed and revised by three experts. The overall Cronbach's Alpha was 0.968, and the data were statistically analyzed by SPSS.The results of the study revealed the following. There were no significant differences in all dimensions in terms of the demographic variables of age and occupation, while there were significant differences in the educational level for all dimensions. In terms of hospital location, it was found that the hospitals in the northern part of Taiwan were better than those in the southern part of Taiwan. The correlations between all the dimensions were found to be highly significant and positive in the analysis. The education and care dimension had the highest impact on the child care services. Parents attached the highest importance to the education and care dimension of child care services, so Preschools should do their best in terms of teacher qualifications, teaching methods, teaching materials and teaching aids in order to gain parents' trust. In addition, all dimensions were interlocked, so as long as one of the dimensions can be effectively improved, the other dimensions would also improve. It is suggested that all dimensions should be paid attention to and developed, so that not only the parents can see them, but also the children can grow up safely and happily, and service satisfaction could be greatly improved
