INVESTIGATING THE INFLUENCE OF AUTHORITARIAN LEADERSHIP AND SUPERVISOR SATISFACTION ON TURNOVER INTENTION: THE MODERATING ROLE OF EMPLOYEE UPBRINGING: Received: 8th November 2023 Revised: 20th December 2023, 22nd December 2023 Accepted: 30th November 2023
Authoritarian leadership is prevalent in the Asian region, and previous research has found a positive correlation between authoritarian leadership and employees' intention to leave their jobs. However, there are employees in the workplace who can adapt to such supervisors. Therefore, we approach this study from the perspective of "fit theory" to explore whether employees with authoritarian parenting styles can match with authoritarian leadership. This study aims to investigate the impact of authoritarian leadership on employees' intention to leave, with supervisor satisfaction as the mediator and employees' authoritarian parenting style as the moderator. A total of 232 valid questionnaires were collected in this study. The results revealed that the level of authoritarian family upbringing among employees has a moderating effect on the relationship between authoritarian leadership and supervisor satisfaction
LAW ENFORCEMENT AGAINST TRADEMARK INFRINGEMENT IN INDONESIA: Received: 28th January 2024, Revised: 8th February 2024, Accepted: 22nd February 2024
Trademark as part of intellectual property rights is one of the most important elements in the business world. Trademark protection is one form of legal certainty required by investors, both domestic and foreign. The legal certainty also expects law enforcement against trademark infringement. The number of trademark infringement that occurred in Indonesia from 2015 to 2023 shows an increasing trend. The purposes of this research are to explore and analyze regarding the cause of trademark infringement and to investigate how efforts should be made to solve and reduce the number of trademark infringements in Indonesia. This research is normative legal research underpinned by interviews as well as through library research by tracing secondary data, using documentation methods and instrument in the form of document studies. Interviews were conducted with resource persons using interview guidelines. Then, data were analyzed using qualitative analysis. The result shows that the reason for trademark infringement is economic reasons. The offending party has bad intentions and assumes that the business whose trademark is to be imitated has good potential and person concerned can obtain a reasonable profit (good turnover potential) if using the same or similar trademark. The second is the party whose trademark is used by another party without rights needs to make a complaint about the trademark infringement because the violation/ infringement of intellectual property rights (including trademark infringement) is a complaint of violation that must be reported by the injured party to the law enforcer. This research is expected to provide input to the government and law enforcer in Indonesia related to law enforcement against trademark infringement that occurred in Indonesia

AN INVESTIGATION OF THE FLUCTUATION IN LANGUAGE LEARNING MOTIVATION OVER TIME: A QUALITATIVE CASE STUDY
In SLA, the variation of motivation when learning a language is a significant research area (Kikuchi, 2015). It has been established that motivation fluctuates, and that high and low levels of motivation alternate during language learning cycles (Albalawi & Al-Hoorie, 2021; Kikuchi, 2015, 2019). This research aims to comprehend and investigate the complexity of motivation fluctuation across language learning experiences which involves demotivation and remotivation. It focuses on the language learning motivation fluctuations of female students who studied general English in Saudi Arabia for more than six years at the school level up until their first year of university at the age of nineteen. It considers the dynamic and changing nature of motivation and its context-specific nature. It explores motivation fluctuation with broad perspective considering typical and atypical, academic, and non-academic as well as internal and external factors that lead to language learners’ demotivation in English language learning and the demotivation process. It also explores how language learners get remotivated after experiencing demotivation in language learning, including factors, opportunities, and challenges. To help understand this transient nature and process, this research adopts a qualitive design and will utilize thick data captured through narrative inquiry. It aims to capture language learners’ motivation fluctuation, their loss of that motivation, as well as their regaining of it. The term "language learner" describes a person who is consciously involved in the process of acquiring, developing, or improving their skill in one or more languages that can be considered foreign or second languages and may take place in formal settings like universities and institutions or through independent study utilizing alternative resources (Littlewood, 1984)
THE COUNTRY NAME AND POLITICAL RECONSTRUCTION OF AFGHANISTAN
Looking back at the history of regime changes in Afghanistan, Afghanistan's political reconstruction after political instability is often accompanied by renaming the country. This phenomenon reflects the close connection between political reconstruction and the name of the country. A hypothesis was proposed to explain this phenomenon: The renaming of the country is a microcosm of Afghanistan's political reconstruction process. By analyzing the composition of the country's name, we can generally understand the country's political reconstruction process. The analysis of the country's name helps to explain the results of the political reconstruction of Afghanistan in history and to make a reasonable prediction of the results of the ongoing political reconstruction. To test this hypothesis, this paper made a historical analysis of the period of the Afghan People's Democratic Party in power and the US-backed bourgeois-democratic political period. It reviewed the composition of the country's name and the goals and results of political reconstruction in these two historical periods. Finally, this paper, in light of the elements in the name of “The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan”, envisioned the current Taliban-led political reconstruction in Afghanistan
BRINGING THE BOYS BACK ON BOARD: AN EXPLORATION OF PRIMARY SCHOOL BOYS’ PERCEPTIONS OF THE WRITING PROCESS
In the past, boys have performed better than girls academically, however, recent research conducted internationally indicates that girls are achieving better results than boys (1). A reason for this improvement could be the role that language plays in all learning areas and, according to scientific research girls outperform boys in language acquisition because the language area of the brain in girls develops before the areas used for spatial relations, whereas the opposite is true for boys (2). The link between all learning is language. To succeed in any learning, learners must have the ability to communicate effectively in the language of learning and teaching. A study conducted in Minnesota confirms this as it was found that students who performed better in language also achieved better results in other learning areas (3). Francis and Skelton (4) state that there is a significant gap which favours girls in language and learning internationally. Epstein, Elwood, Hey and Maw (5) contend that girls’ most marked area of success at school has been in languages. An area in research that remains relatively unchartered is boys’ experiences in the writing classroom, which could contribute to our understanding of the underachieving boys’ phenomenon. This study sought to explore how middle school boys perceive their experiences in the writing classroom, the writing curriculum and their teachers’ teaching approaches. For this exploratory case study, boys from 2 schools participated in this study. They completed an activity-based questionnaire, writing lessons were observed and a sample of their writing with their teachers’ feedback was analysed using document analysis. Lesson recordings were transcribed, and the transcriptions were analysed with the observation schedule using thematic analysis, as were the boys’ responses to the questionnaire. It was found that the participating boys did not view language learning negatively, and whilst some of them struggled in the writing classroom, they did not view writing negatively either. It was concluded that teachers should cater for boys’ different learning needs and styles when planning their lessons. Some ideas for doing this could be providing choice in topics, making their lessons more engaging and exciting for the boys by including competitions and movement, and selecting themes and topics that the boys in their classrooms find interesting and relevant.

WEBSITE FOR ONLINE OR BLENDED TEACHING OF GENETICS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS IN BIOLOGY STUDENTS
Genetics is the science that studies the transmission and variation of the hereditary information of organisms stored in DNA. Currently, Genetics encompasses a strategic set of knowledge and skills that biology professionals must have, in such a way that those who do not have this knowledge, techniques and even theories, run the risk of not entering a job position. Objective. This work presents a web page developed to facilitate the learning of Genetics knowledge. This project brings together participants who have carried out scientific and professional work, have taught genetics courses and know the problems of teaching and learning genetics. Results. The developed website (www.genetica.abaco2.org) incorporates: 1) Educational texts for the development of knowledge, skills and competencies on specific topics; 2) Multiple choice questionnaires for self-assessment; 3) Hardy-Weinberg simulator; and 4) Evaluation of the understanding of educational texts through the application of quick questionnaires. The texts are focused on undergraduate students of careers in the biological-medical area. The effect on learning of the contents of the website with the topic of genetic recombination was evaluated by comparing the learning in two groups of students: group A (133 students) with prior reading of the educational text and group B (119 students) without reading of the educational text. Through statistical analysis with the Z test it was found that group A had higher percentage (75.6% vs. 55.8%; P<0.01) of correct answers when answering a test of 10 questions. Conclusions: The designed website is a resource that teachers and students can benefit from by facilitating the teaching-learning process of Genetics

This paper identifies some of the challenges encountered by English teachers while instructing and facilitating the teaching and learning reading among secondary schools generally special focus on Nigeria. It highlights the multifaceted nature of the challenges, encompassing area such as diverse student intellectual abilities, insufficient cognitive engagement, language barriers. This paper review various studies on reading and in Nigerian schools, identify recurrent problems and the gaps relating to cognitive challenges. It explores potential solutions to mitigate these flaws, emphasizing the pivotal importance of tailored instructional strategies and tooling, collaborative approaches between parents/guardian and managements of school, and the integration of active technological apparatus to the system. The paper recommended that, regular workshops with a cognitive approach should be organized for all teachers of English to enable them handle reading effectively, this training will create a drive-in teacher to ensure that students under their tutelage are fluent readers. More so, in- service training should also be an integral part of continuing teacher education and teachers should be supported in order to increase their level of confidence when teaching reading
IMPLEMENTING SUSTAINABILITY EDUCATION IN SECONDARY SCHOOL: A CASE STUDY IN CURRICULUM LEADERSHIP
Integrating education for sustainability in secondary schools is vital for creating a sustainable future, as it has a significant impact on students' attitudes, behaviours, and decision-making. A study by Stevenson et al. (2016) argues that sustainability education can foster students' environmental awareness and knowledge, as well as promote their willingness to engage in pro-environmental actions. It enhances critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills, all of which are essential for addressing complex sustainability challenges (Scott, 2018). However, implementing education for sustainability in secondary schools presents several challenges, such as a lack of teacher training, inadequate resources, and the pressure to prioritize standardized testing (Orr, 2018). This paper will explore the progress and challenges taken by a group of schools in Qatar to systematically develop education for sustainability standards (from the Cloud Institute) in all aspects of the written, taught and assessed curriculum in all schools. To support schools, the ADKAR change theory was used to help plan for and develop curriculum leadership with school leaders.
