    No full text
The conduct of individual investors is heavily influenced by a variety of biases that have been emphasised in the growing field of behaviour finance. As a result, this research is part of a larger effort to evaluate the impact of behavioural biases on investment decision-making on the National Stock Exchange. A questionnaire is created, and 243 investors\u27 responses are gathered using survey responses. Inferential statistics and descriptive statistics were used in this study. Overconfidence, anchoring, disposition effect, and herding behaviour are the four behavioural biases examined in the current study. Overconfidence and herding bias have a considerable favourable impact on investment decisions, according to the findings. Overall, the findings show that individual investors have little expertise and are more likely to make psychological mistakes. Individual investment decisions are influenced by biases. Financial intermediaries will benefit from this research

    No full text
Infrared transparent windows found to have applications in demanding defense and space missions. In this paper we report the synthesis of La0.3Y1.7O3 by a modified auto-igniting combustion technique and the sintering of the pellets made from the ultrafine nanostructured powder using resistive heating. The XRD analysis and  High Resolution Transmission Electron Microscopic(HR-TEM) studies reveal that the average crystallite size is ~16nm and the lattice planes are well defined. The pure white La0.3Y1.7O3  powder is uniaxially compacted in to pellets in a 14mm diameter steel die and sintered to 98% theoretical density without any sintering additives or applying pressure at 1560oC for 2hours  in a conventional furnace which. The transmission spectrum of the sintered pellet in the Uv-Vis region reveals that the material is showing 77% of transmittance in the visible region and 76% in the Mid IR region. The results clearly indicate that the ultra-fine La0.3Y1.7O3 nanopowder synthesized by the modified auto-igniting combustion technique synthesised using single step combustion method followed by resistive heating can be used very effectively for the fabrication of improved infrared transparent windows and domes

Novel coronavirus created repercussions in the economy, which affected the investors, public, and policymakers. It affected the financial market drastically. Individuals in different parts of the world struggled, and its effect on the stock market is inevitable. Investors should first determine their risk tolerance level and invest to generate maximum profit. This paper aims to understand the influence of COVID 19 on individual investors\u27 investment and financial decisions. Data were collected from 60 individual respondents using purposive sampling. Individuals with salaried and business occupational status were included in the study. It is identified that the government\u27s lockdown restrictions severely impacted individuals\u27 income and directly affected savings and investment behaviour. Investors were identified to prefer savings options compared to investment instruments, and they are identified to prefer Bank deposit, insurance, post office savings scheme and gold. Individuals prefer mutual funds more due to their liquidity, professional expertise, and reliability among investment instruments. It is concluded that the COVID 19 pandemic changed the risk preference of individual investors as their preference shifted from risky assets to risk-free assets. In contrast, some individuals observed it as a golden opportunity to invest

Dogs as a species have been portrayed in a very inferior light when compared to human beings from time immemorial. They have been branded as dirty, impure, lowbred and bad in various cultures. In spite of their affectionate nature, they have been misinterpreted but as time went by they began to be portrayed in a better light. This paper looks at the characteristics of dogs and the ways in which they are treated by humans belonging to different cultural backgrounds. The positive qualities of dogs, the differing attitude of man towards dogs in Western as well as Indian culture, human-canine relations and the mistreatment of dogs are evaluated and through this try to elevate the position of dogs in society especially with the aid of the dogs depicted in Literature

Kerala\u27s economy has natural strengths and capacities that have helped it overcome a race of challenges in recent times. Cataracts, conditions analogous to Nipah contagion infection, cyclones analogous to Okhi, and an epidemic outbreak due to COVID19 in 2020 are all possibilities. In response to these enterprises, the government has launched a number of programmes to meliorate the lives of depressed groups analogous as women, children, listed estate and listed lineage populations, workers in unorganised industriousness, and the elderly. Afflictions and afflictions are distinguished by the cumulative frequency that grows swiftly, firstly in an exponential form and also places off, absolutely criteria related to Covid-19 from a large cohort of countries encyclopedically, or for the cohort of countries and union homes with India, with varying population sizes, population age structures, quality of health care installations, per capita income, reduplication numbers, and so on are dispersed within upper and lower bounds. That is, it has directly intruded on the global economy\u27s growth process and immobilised huge sectors of the economy by causing recession and despair. The current paper extends beyond the influence of COVID 19. The agricultural sector can be bettered by producing a crossbred of foreign and original technology. This provides an occasion to increase domestic product and consumption of food goods analogous as crops, vegetables, husbandry, and other industries. However, query, fear, If precautions are not taken

In the present study,CuCexFe2-xO4(x=0.00, 0.03 and 0.05) spinel ferrite nanoparticles were synthesized by chemical co-precipitation method. The structural, morphological, compositional and optical properties of the synthesized samples were estimated by powder X-Ray diffraction (XRD), Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM), Energy Dispersive X-Ray Spectroscopy (EDX), Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) Spectroscopy and Uv-Vis-NIR Spectroscopy. The anti-cancer properties were analyzed at the in vitro level by MTT (3- [4, 5–dimethylthiazol-2-yl]-2, 5 diphenyl tetrazolium bromide) assay against human breast cancer MCF-7 cell line shows dose dependent cell viability in the concentration range of 6.25–100 µg/mL. In vitro cytotoxicity studies have shown that higher concentration (>25 µg/mL) of CuCexFe2-xO4 (x = 0.05) NPs shows reduced cell viability and induced cell membrane damage in cell line of L929 fibroblasts, but were found to be non-toxic at lower concentration suggesting their biocompatibility

Entrepreneurial Traits and Entrepreneurship Development Programmes: The Linkages

    No full text
An individual’s success at any work or activity depends on his competency for that particular task.  In other words a person’s efficiency or superior performance is based on his certain underlying traits or competencies. Therefore what makes a person suitable or otherwise unsuitable for undertaking a task or responsibility is his personal traits.  So is the case of an entrepreneur.  The underlying traits which enable a person to perform well in the field of entrepreneurship are called entrepreneurial traits.  One’s traits are a compound of knowledge, skill and motives.  When knowledge and skills can be acquired through reading and practice motives are the inner urge which drives a person to an action.  The irony in relation to the personal traits is that one may be at many times unconscious of such competencies.  In such situations it becomes imperative that the person is made to identify such innate traits and tuned to excellence
