Factors Promoting the Entrepreneurship Ecosystem in Heis of India and its Impact on Millennials’ Education
Purpose: The aim of this study is to examine the steps taken by HEIs after the announcement of the startup India campaign by the government in 2015. This research paper will highlight the factors which are responsible to establish an entrepreneurial ecosystem by providing the right education in HEIs f India.
Theoretical framework: Entrepreneurship in educational institutions has increased significantly due to Government’s efforts through the national innovation start-up policy which is not only supporting buddy entrepreneurs but also opening avenues for faculty members. This research paper will highlight the factors which are responsible to establish an entrepreneurial ecosystem by providing the right education in HEIs of India.
Design/methodology/approach: The data has been collected from HEIs of Delhi NCR, India and the same is analysed and interpreted using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) software by considering two variables Ecosystem and Education in the Entrepreneurial context. This paper attempts to fill this gap in current research and highlight the role of HEIs in nurturing and shaping future entrepreneurs in India.
Findings: The results through in-person interviews demonstrated that students have a strong willingness to explore this subject however HEIs need to design the right curriculum for better outcomes to nurture buddy entrepreneurs. The result of data analysis shows there exists a significant relationship between education, entrepreneurial ecosystem and career aspirations.
Research, Practical & Social implications: The study suggested that HEIs should have a detailed profile of students’ backgrounds which enables them to design the right strategy for establishing an entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Originality/value: The value of the study is the analysis of the willingness of students towards entrepreneurship as a career and the preparation of HEIs in the implementation of entrepreneurship education. There is an utmost need to design a curriculum by understanding the need of students which can enhance not only their knowledge, skills and abilities but their experience in the world of entrepreneurship
Guidelines for the Growth of Smes in the Thai Sports Industry
Purpose: The aim of this study is to examine the variable factor of the guidelines for the growth of SMEs in the thai sport industry and develop a structural equation model.
Theoretical framework: The concept of competitive advantage Porter (1980) stated that competitive advantage is a strategy to gain competitive advantage over competitors. The organization can differentiate from competitors in 3 aspects, namely cost leadership strategy; differentiation strategy and a strategy to focus on specific markets.
Design/methodology/approach: The mixed research methodology was employed by starting with qualitative research based on in-depth interviews with nine experts to create tools for quantitative research and conducting a group discussion with 11 experts to find a consensus on the model of this research.
Research, Practical & Social implications: The research is useful for small and medium-sized enterprises in the sports industry business development approach. Leading to creating a competitive advantage in Thailand and to international business
Strategic Planning Model and its Impact on the Development of Micro-Enterprises in the Services Sector in Mexico
Purpose: The aim of this study is to offer the design of a strategic planning model for micro-enterprises from services economic sector in the State of Hidalgo, Mexico and measure its impact on their growth and development.
Theoretical framework: The research reviewed a variety of strategic planning models, which contributed in the design of this new model tailored to Hidalgo’s micro-enterprises from services sector, the main objective is to contribute to their growth and development. Larios (2016), refers to the strategic process sequential model as the set of activities which are conducted in a specific sequence in order to project the future of the organization and achieve their vision, Larios (2016), establishes that this model is made of three stages: designing, implementing and evaluating which is completed by adding conclusions and recommendations. On the other hand, the strategic planning model proposed by Stanton, Etzel and Walter suggests a logical sequence that combines strategic and marketing planning, establishing the specific route that the marketing department needs to follow (Chávez, 2017). A detailed description of the models reviewed during the research work is presented in the literature review section.

Design/methodology/approach: The study applies a quantitave methodology with a non-experimental and transactional – correlational. A questionnaire with Likert scale of five points from totally agree to totally disagree, was given to managerial staff from the sample companies. The sample subject of study consists of 174 micro-enterprises from the services sector located in the State of Hidalgo, Mexico. The quantitative analysis conducted is based on inferential statistics, specifically multiple correlation analysis where the dependent variable is strategic planning and the independent variables are corporate philosophy, key internal factors, key external factors, SWOT analysis, situational diagnosis, objectives and strategic control (Hill y Jones 2015).
Findings: The research findings are that the dimensions that have a positive effect on strategic planning are; philosophy, internal factors, external factors, and strategic objectives. This was obtained after validating the multiple regression equation
We are Team: Effectiveness of Team Building Training to Improve Cohesiveness
Purpose: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the influence of team building training to increase cohesiveness in Psychology students at Mulawarman University.
Theoretical framework: Cohesiveness is one part that can increase the sense of attachment between individuals as members and the team and organization that oversees them. Team building training is carried out so that members of student organizations can have an interest in wanting to continue to be with the organization in achieving common goals as a whole team
Design/methodology/approach: The research design used was a pre-test and post-test on 20 students divided into 10 experimental groups and 10 control groups. Cohesiveness scale adapted by researchers from Data analysis using Wilcoxon and Mann-Whitney U Test using SPSS 26 Software for Windows.
Findings: The results of the analysis used the Wilcoxon test which compared the cohesiveness scores in the experimental group before and after training showed a value of Z = -2.810, = p 0.005 (p < 0.05) meaning that there was a difference in the cohesiveness scores before and after being given the team building training treatment, so that there was an increase in cohesiveness significantly after giving the team building training treatment. The results of the analysis using the Mann-Whitney U Test showed a value of Z = -1.288, p = 0.198 (p > 0.05) meaning that there was no difference in the level of cohesiveness between the experimental group that was given the team building treatment and the control group that was not given the team building training treatment.
Research, Practical & Social implications: The study is useful for organizational activities are also expected to continue to make their best contribution to the organization and the wider community.
Originality/value: The value of the study based on the analytical data discussed in the previous sub-chapter, it can be concluded that team building training is able to provide changes and increase cohesiveness in organizational students. That is, if training is given to students of the organization regularly and followed by consistent supervision and evaluation, then cohesiveness in the student organization can increase
Strategic Policy Model for Management of Plywood Industry Using System Dynamic Methods
Purpose: This study aims to obtain a strategic model for the arrangement of the Indonesian plywood industry after the monetary crisis with high uncertainty.
Theoretical framework: This study discusses several theoretical frameworks which include Strategic Policy, Plywood Industry, and System Dynamic Modeling.
Design/methodology/approach: This study was conducted covering the stages of collecting data and information, as well as the stages of Dynamic System Modeling.
Findings: The result of the study is the preparation of dynamic systems through formulation into dynamic sub-models, namely: plywood industrial production, sawn timber industry, chip mill industrial production, log raw material production for the wood industry, log economic contribution to the center and the region, illegal export logs, domestic and exports of the wood industry as well as financial feasibility of the plywood industry.
Research, Practical & Social implications: The results of the study are useful for decision makers in Plywood Industry Management on work culture of Indonesia fabricaton because they show that the proposed practices have an important impact on organizational company excellence.
Originality/value: The policies carried out in the plywood industry structuring strategy include a national plywood production limitation policy, a national sawn wood production limitation policy, and a cutting restriction policy in the form of the Annual Allowable Cutting in various combinations which are outlined in eight main policies scenarios and translated into 28 scenarios
Impact of Food and Beverage Quality and Service Quality Towards Customer Satisfaction and Customer Retention, A Study of Five-Star Hotels
Purpose: The objective of this study is to examine how customer happiness at five-star hotels is impacted by the quality of the F&B they receive and the services they receive, which in turn affects retention.
Design/methodology/approach: A convenience sampling strategy was utilized to distribute a self-administrated survey to 386 guests who used the F&B services of five-star hotels in Delhi-NCR. The model and study's hypotheses were evaluated in this study using a structural assessment modelling methodology, with AMOS 20.0 serving as the evaluation tool.
Findings: The outcomes of the study show that CS and its impact on customer retention are significantly and favorably influenced by quality of the cuisine and beverages, as good as the service.
Theoretical framework: This study recognizes the magnitude of numerous customer satisfaction metrics from a managerial perspective to predict customer retention or re- purchase plans in the standpoint of a five-star eatery in Delhi. Managers should use this to assess their performance and gain a better grasp of the standard of F&B services.
Research Implications: Since the current study was restricted to the capital city of India and because the responses may have been subjective, it cannot be said to be completely conclusive. The study shows, from a practitioner's perspective, that the F&B services departments of five-star hotels in New Delhi, India, have performed notably well in terms of the quality of their services and to categorize the regions of difference in provision and F&B product quality.
Originality/Value: This study fills a research gap on customers' opinions on the provision of food and beverages in the food and beverage division of five-star hotels. It also advances knowledge of visitors' expectations and perceptions of the value of the F&B services
Managerial Knowledge and Skills Transfer Practices in Bangladesh
Purpose: The favorable attitude of the trainees and a transfer-friendly climate are highly expected for effective training transfer. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to examine the characteristics of trainees and the work environment in transferring managerial knowledge and skills to the job.
Theoretical framework: This study focuses on three factors considering both the characteristics of trainees and the role played by their peers and supervisors, in relation to the transfer of training based on the theories of training transfer.
Methodology: Data was collected from service holders who completed an MBA degree from a weekend/evening program, using a structured questionnaire. The number of usable questionnaires was 302.The Garret ranking method and structural equation modeling (SEM) with Amos 23 was used to analyze the research data.
Findings: This study found that peer and supervisor assistance for training transfer was not satisfactory. Lack of autonomy, shortage of the required materials in the workplace, as well as an excessive workload, were identified as noteworthy impediments in the transfer of training.
Research, Practical and Social implication: This study could increase recognition among coworkers and managers about the significance of supporting fellow workers in applying their recently acquired knowledge and abilities on the job. Additionally, the authorities might receive advice on how to create a congenial environment for training transfer in their organization.
Originality/Value: Assessment of training application and transfer practices would become helpful for Bangladesh to ensure progress and development as a developing country.
Personal Characteristics and Organizational Career Management as Predictors of Organizational Commitment: An Empirical Investigation
Purpose: The objective of this study was investigate the effect of organizational career management and demographic variables on organizational commitment in Jordanian universities.
Theoretical framework: Organizational Career management and organizational commitment become vital concepts in the field of human resource management and organizational behavior. Nevertheless, in Arabian countries such as Jordan, these concepts have not received adequate consideration from specialists.
Design/methodology/approach: The researcher designed a questionnaire based on the objectives and hypotheses of the study. The researcher disseminated 468 questionnaires. 445 the collected data and test the hypotheses. The data were analysed using frequencies, percentage, mean rating, one sample t-test and ANOVA.
Findings: Study results showed a positive and significant correlation between organizational career management and organizational commitment, from the standpoint of administrative staff in Jordanian Universities’.
Research, Practical & Social implications: Some managerial implications for Jordanian Universities’ Managers and HR practitioners have emerged based on the findings of this study.
Originality/value: Many organizations use programs to develop employee career path employees, but these programs are fragmented and do not exist in an integrated process linking the path of individuals and the organization. This study adapt comprehensive model and explore its relation with organizational commitment.
Lean Practices, Perceived Environmental Uncertainty, and Business Performance: a Quantitative Study of Smes in Thailand
Purpose: The objective of this study was to investigate the moderating role of environmental uncertainty (EU) on the relationship between lean practices (LP) and business performance (BP) in SMEs in Thailand.
Design/methodology/approach: The 170 samples of middle management level persons who were aware of lean concepts or practices from 120 manufacturing companies of SMEs in Thailand. We analyzed the relationship between lean practices and business performance by multiple linear regression analysis (MLR).
Findings: The results revealed that performance uncertainty and process uncertainty have a significant impact on lean practices with a direct and negative effect. For the key performance result, the results revealed that only Statistical Process Control (SPC) and employee involvement (EI) of lean practices have a significant impact on the key performance result with a direct and positive significantly impactful, the results revealed that only Just in Time or JIT and Statistical Process Control (SPC) have a significant impact on the customer result control direct and positive effect. For the employee result, the results revealed that four dimensions of Lean Practices including supplier development or SD, Setup Time Reduction (STR), employee involvement, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) have a significant impact on the employee result with direct and positive effect.
Research, Practical & Social Implications: This study provides lean practices in SMEs in Thailand and their moderating role on environmental uncertainty on the relationship between lean practices and business performance which in contributes to economic Thailand. Further research should focus on specific industries.

World Cultural Heritage Designated Impacts in Jatiluwih Agritourism, Bali, Indonesia
Purpose: This research examined the economic and socio-cultural impacts on the villages of Jatiluwih in Bali after the listing of subak as World Cultural Heritage. In addition, this study also aims to identify the constraints encountered by the Operations Management and establish management programs in managing Jatiluwih Tourist Attraction as part of World Cultural Heritage.
Theoretical framework: Tourism, as a product, cannot be exported but imports the consumers to consume the product in the exporting country. Therefore, tourism cannot exist in separation from the host community. When planning for tourism, local regional and national governments should be aware of the pressures on the physical and social environment caused by the inflow of tourists. Host communities also need to be aware that tourism is likely to cause a wide range of impacts.
Design/methodology/approach: This study used qualitative methods supported by quantitative data through Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) analysis. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, document studies, and focus group discussion.
Findings: This study contributes a concise analysis of the various impacts, due to the growth of tourism, on the local community living within the World Cultural Heritage, such as increased in income, changes in personal relationships, modernization of agriculture, and the readiness of the society to move into social organizations. Increasing the number of tourism jobs while simultaneously maintaining World Cultural Heritage properties were significant challenges faced by Operations Management of Jatiluwih Tourist Attraction.
Research, Practical & Social implications: By analyzing tourism impacts around the World Cultural Heritage, one could realize the benefits acquired by the local community.
