A Critique on Theoritical Framework for Adoption of Corporate Sustainability Practices: Iintegrating Institutional Motives, Stakeholder Motives, and Managerial Motives
Purpose: This literature review seeks to advance knowledge of the area of theories on motivation for corporate sustainability efforts as it has been researched by earlier experts. Corporate sustainability has gained more attention in academics and business since the 1990s. Still, there is a lack of literature in the area of motivational theories for corporate sustainability. This particular review paper offers an analysis of 30 articles from journals covering the area of business and management that were published between 2002 and 2022. The paper provides a summary of the growth of corporate sustainability, as well as various definitions, and theories that have been put into practice to motivate corporate sustainability efforts.
Method: The researcher employed a literature search strategy, drawing from prior review articles, to investigate corporate sustainability theories and related studies by reputable academics. The electronic search focused on business and management publications, using keywords like sustainability and motivating theories for corporate sustainable adoption. The search was limited to the most recent two decades. Each identified work underwent screening to assess its essential relevance to motivational theories of corporate sustainability.
Findings: The results show that the field of corporate sustainability is still developing and that several theories have been employed to measure the motives of corporate sustainability. We believe that despite the similarities and connections between the three theories: institutional theory, stakeholder theory, and managerial motives, they are complementary rather than competing. Most significantly, they can be combined with and connected to corporate sustainability activities to provide a multi-theoretical view of the motivations behind such practices.
Research Implication: This study provides a theoretical framework that can be applied to studies of corporate sustainability, particularly when attempting to understand why organizations motivate to adopt corporate sustainability.
Origonality/Value: This theoretical model can be used as a conceptual foundation for empirical research on the drivers of corporate sustainability initiatives in a variety of settings. To gain a deeper comprehension of corporate sustainability adoption, it makes an effort to gain valuable insights into more than one single theory

Purpose: Our objective is to examine the switching costs that exist in the European postal service, where an ambitious process of opening up to competition has been carried out since 1997, as well as the different types of retention costs.
Theoretical Framework: The theoretical framework is determined by the sectoral regulatory framework regarding the liberalization of services of general economic interest in the EU, the experience of postal operators in recent decades and the changes experienced in the demand for postal services in the current context of profound technological change in the field of communication.
Design/Methodology/Approach: This research work is carried out through a systematic review of the relevant specialized literature, the study of the policy decisions adopted in the EU, the changes in the strategies of postal operators and the rigorous analysis of the evolution of the demand of the postal services in a context of rapid and profound change.
Finding: Inadequate regulation of the access to some elements of postal infrastructure or services within the scope of the universal postal service, such as the postcode system, address database, post office boxes, delivery boxes, re-direction and retour to sender service, can generate switching costs and thus limiting competition, with negative effects on the consumer surplus and social welfare. Standardization and access to these elements may be regulated separately
Research, Practical & Social Implications: This article proposes solutions to the technical functions of coordination between operators. Our proposals are in line with sectoral directives aimed at strengthening competition in the long term in the postal market.
Originality/Value: A correct classification of the change costs applied to the liberalized postal service is made. Likewise, a classification of retention costs. We must underline the progress that our proposals represent to reduce the costs of switching to elements of the postal network whose access is mandatory

EFFECT OF GREEN ACCOUNTING, LEVERAGE, FIRM SIZE ON FIRM VALUE WITH PROFITABILITY AS INTERVENING VARIABLE
Purpose: This study investigates how green accounting practices, leverage (debt levels), and company size influence profitability and ultimately firm value. The research focuses on companies listed in the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII). Previous research on these relationships has yielded mixed and inconsistent results. They point out that few studies have examined these variables together in a single model. This study aims to address this gap by creating a new model that explores the combined effects of green accounting, leverage, and size on profitability, and ultimately, firm value within the JII context.
Theoretical Framework: This research is grounded in two key theories: stakeholder theory and signaling theory. While past empirical studies haven't yielded definitive results, this research offers a fresh perspective. The novel model developed in this study builds upon existing knowledge by examining how several previously linked variables interact and influence firm performance.
Design/Methodology/Approach: This research employed a descriptive approach, analyzing financial data from company annual reports. To understand the relationships between the variables, a statistical technique called Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was used. The study focused on companies listed on the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) of the Indonesian Stock Exchange between 2019 and 2022. A 120-sample size from 30 companies was chosen strategically using a purposive sampling method from the JII.
Result and Discussion: This study found that leverage (debt) and company size have a positive and statistically significant impact on profitability. Interestingly, green accounting practices did not have a clear influence on firm value. There was a negative effect, but it wasn't statistically significant. Firm size itself also did not directly affect firm value in a statistically significant way. However, profitability itself has a strong and positive impact on firm value. Additionally, profitability can act as an indirect factor, mediating the relationship between leverage and firm value. Based on these results, the study recommends that companies listed on the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) consider strategic use of debt financing. This can be a way to improve profitability and ultimately attract investors, leading to a higher firm value.
Originality/Value: This research introduces a novel model that investigates the interconnected effects of several variables with proven relationships.
