Abstract
In an environment shaped by accelerated digital transformation and ongoing economic uncertainty, companies are urged to rethink their management practices in order to sustain and enhance performance. Within this framework, management control, leadership quality, and the adoption of digital tools—particularly Business Intelligence (BI)—play a decisive role in organizational development and the creation of competitive advantage.
This paper is built on three main findings: first, the COVID-19 pandemic severely affected Moroccan firms, exposing their financial fragility and structural weaknesses (Bennis & Oudda, 2021); second, traditional management control practices have proven inadequate in increasingly complex contexts (Yazid, 2023); and third, Business Intelligence emerges as a strategic tool to steer performance and facilitate decision-making (Allouli, Boumeska & Hammami, 2024). Based on these insights, the central research question is raised: How can management control and Business Intelligence foster rational decision-making to enhance the performance of Moroccan companies?
The paper examines the role of collaborative tools and performance management, while addressing the combined influence of management control and Business Intelligence on organizational efficiency. The analysis underlines their ability to anticipate challenges, design tailored solutions, and generate long-term competitive advantages.
The study relies on a literature review of management control, Business Intelligence, and performance management, with particular attention to the evolving role of management controllers who are increasingly shifting from traditional tasks to strategic functions. Furthermore, it highlights the contribution of Business Intelligence to improving information quality, supporting decision-making, and strengthening corporate responsiveness. Finally, it emphasizes the complementarity of management control and BI, and their impact on key performance instruments such as KPIs, dashboards, and forecasting tools, within an exploratory methodological framework.

Abstract
Artificial intelligence (AI) has gradually emerged over the past few years as an essential strategic lever within contemporary companies, due to its ability to increase the performance and efficiency of organizational processes. (Hennebert and Bourguignon, 2021). From now on, AI is part of many professional fields of application, particularly in the field of human capital management. The human resources function is thus undergoing a profound technological transformation, driven by the rise of big data and the emergence of advanced technologies such as deep learning and natural language processing.
In the context of HRM, AI is perceived as a strategic opportunity. It allows not only to optimize the costs associated with the activities of the HR department, but also to improve the efficiency of management processes, and to strengthen the strategic positioning of HR professionals within the company (Hennebert and Bourguignon, 2021).
This work first examines the impact of artificial intelligence on individual performance management, highlighting the role of these technologies through the quality and precision of the results they generate. These contributions allow human resources managers and managers to make informed decisions during recruitment processes, thanks to the adoption of a proactive approach, whose objective is to promote talent retention, to strengthen motivation, the commitment and performance of employees, and consequently, to support organizational performance in an ever-changing environment.

Heterocyclic Compounds as Corrosion Inhibitors: Bibliometric analysis based on Scopus and VOS viewer
This Bibliometric analysis, using Scopus/VOS viewer, exposed the use of N-heterocyclic compounds (N-HCs) as corrosion inhibitors for various metallic materials. N-heterocyclic compounds are cyclic molecules that contain at least one nitrogen atom within the ring structure. N-HCs are critically important in medicine, life sciences, and materials science due to their wide range of biological activities and applications as pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and dyes. Many essential natural products, such as amino acids, alkaloids, vitamins, and DNA bases (like adenine and guanine), are N-heterocycles. Their high reactivity in coordination chemistry, where they act as ligands for metal ions and consequently, can be used as excellent inhibitors of metal corrosion in high aggressive media. In other words, the nature of N-HCs favors adsorption on the metal surface, thereby securing the metal against corrosion. The weight loss is the simplest technique to measure the corrosion rate in generalized attack, but the polarization curves indicated the type of inhibitor type: Anodic, cathodic, or mixed-type inhibitors. Several adsorption isotherms were proposed and studied. The Langmuir adsorption isotherm model accurately describes as widely studied. The thermodynamic activation parameters were calculated. The data explained that the inhibition takes place through the physical and/or chemical adsorption. The thermodynamic activation parameters can be estimated using the Arrhenius law and its derived transition relation

The sustainable production of nano-activated carbon (nano-AC) from biomass presents a highly promising approach for environmental remediation and a wide range of industrial applications. This review comprehensively examines diverse biomass feedstock, emphasizing their chemical compositions and sustainability considerations that directly affect carbon yield and quality. It further evaluates various synthesis and activation techniques, with a special focus on emerging green methods that improve material properties while minimizing environmental impacts. Detailed discussion on material characterization and adsorption performance of biomass-derived nano-AC is provided, along with the challenges related to reproducibility and scale-up processes. Environmental perspectives are assessed through life cycle assessments, highlighting sustainability benefits and key impact categories. Economic factors, including cost drivers, market dynamics, and commercialization barriers, are also critically reviewed. The paper concludes by identifying current challenges and research gaps, and suggesting future directions aimed at fostering the development of eco-friendly, cost-effective nano-activated carbon technologies that align with circular economy principles and environmental sustainability goals
