Experimental study of rainfall intensity on silty sand slope
No full textMalaysia, located in the tropical region, is blessed with an abundance of rainfall, particularly during the monsoon season. Previous studies have shown that major landslide occurrences in Malaysia are primarily caused by frequent and prolonged rainfall. This study is conducted to investigate the effect of different rainfall intensities on the silty sandy slope through a small-scale slope model. The soil samples were collected from Bukit Tabur, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to construct a 60° slope model. A continuous rainfall intensity of 50, 100, and 150 mm/hour was considered in the study to determine the type and duration of failure. Two cameras were positioned at the front and side of the slope model to capture the elapsed time since the onset of rainfall. The gullies failures were observed in all experiments. It is due to the soil on the slope surface reaching nearly full saturation, causing runoff water to move down the slope and drain downstream, resulting in surface erosion. Such a failure mechanism agreed well with the failures (formed gullies) recorded on the downstream slope of the Bukit Tabor after high-intensity rainfalls. The time of failure for different rainfall intensities was compared to the highest rainfall intensity. The duration of slope failure for 50 mm/hr and 100 mm/hr is approximately 30% and 5% slower than that of rainfall intensity at 150 mm/hr. The results suggest that the slope is more prone to failure with higher rainfall intensities.

Spiritualitas mencakup keyakinan individu tentang makna hidup, tujuan, dan hubungan dengan yang ilahi, yang diwujudkan melalui seni dan ilmu arsitektur. Prinsip desain arsitektur memainkan peran penting dalam menciptakan ruang yang tidak hanya fungsional, tetapi juga estetis dan bermakna. Masjid Sunan Ampel, sebagai salah satu masjid bersejarah di Indonesia, memiliki peran penting dalam perkembangan peradaban Islam di tanah air. Elemen-elemen arsitektural di masjid ini dirancang untuk menciptakan suasana yang mendukung kekhusyukan beribadah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh elemen-elemen arsitektur di Masjid Sunan Ampel terhadap suasana spiritual jamaah, serta bagaimana elemen-elemen tersebut meningkatkan kekhusyukan dalam beribadah. Temuan dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan mendalam mengenai hubungan antara arsitektur dan spiritualitas dalam konteks peribadatan di masjid
Analisis Perbandingan Sistem Pengupahan Harian dan Borongan Terhadap Produktivitas Tenaga Kerja pada Pekerjaan Dinding Gedung
Get PDFKurang optimalnya produktivitas tenaga kerja pada pekerjaan dinding dengan sistem upah harian, mengakibatkan keterlambatan pekerjaan, maka pihak kontraktor mengubah sistem pengupahan harian menjadi upah borongan. Penelitian ini bertujuan membandingkan produktivitas tenaga kerja pada sistem pengupahan harian dan borongan serta menganalisis pengaruhnya terhadap produktivitas pekerjaan. Metode work sampling digunakan untuk mengukur produktivitas tenaga kerja, sementara analisis regresi linier berganda digunakan untuk mengevaluasi hubungan statistik antara variabel bebas dan terikat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata Labor Utilization Rate (LUR) pada sistem upah harian adalah 53,73%, sedangkan pada sistem borongan mencapai 62,17%. Sistem borongan meningkatkan indeks produktivitas sebesar 8,6% dibandingkan sistem harian untuk pekerjaan batako, 5,4% pada pekerjaan plesteran dan 14,8% untuk pekerjaan pengecatan. Model regresi menunjukkan bahwa sistem upah borongan memberikan kontribusi lebih besar terhadap produktivitas tenaga kerja dengan nilai 87,50% dibandingkan sistem harian dengan nilai 56,90%. Variabel signifikan dalam sistem borongan meliputi pengawasan kerja dan pengalaman tenaga kerja, yang berpengaruh positif terhadap produktivitas. Kesimpulannya, sistem pengupahan borongan lebih efisien dan sesuai diterapkan pada proyek konstruksi yang membutuhkan efisiensi waktu dan produktivitas tinggi

Get PDFThere is a sub-culture of hijab erotica in a country where hijab used to be a symbol of rebellion against the oppressive regime and became a conservative norm in a conservative-leaning society that rejects pornography. Researcher gathered erotic stories from an internet forum involving the characters of hijabi women as the main character. Through thematic analysis, researcher found several key themes in the stories. The themes are the identity of hijabi women as both familiar and exotic, the erotic transgression in sexual acts, the allure of innocent women, and hijab as a significant accessory in sexual intercourse. The result of this research strengthens the notion of pornography as an everchanging historical record that caught the nuance of how people view sex and its expression in any particular era of interest
OCB Makeover: Turning Passive Presence into Proactive Contribution
Get PDFOrganizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) is a critical component in fostering teamwork, building a positive organizational climate, and driving collective performance. Yet, many employees, especially those in operational roles, demonstrate low to moderate levels of OCB, which can hinder organizational effectiveness. While previous research has largely explored personality traits or leadership influences on OCB, limited studies have tested structured interventions designed to enhance OCB by developing proactive behavior in employees. This study addresses this gap by implementing a proactive personality training program and evaluating its impact on OCB among employees in a production unit. Using a quasi-experimental design, the training was delivered to a group of employees identified with low to moderate OCB levels, while a comparable group served as a control. OCB was assessed before and after the intervention using a validated measurement tool. The results showed clear improvements in OCB following the training, with trained employees demonstrating more cooperative, helpful, and initiative-driven behaviors in the workplace. These findings suggest that proactive personality traits can be cultivated through training and have meaningful effects on organizational functioning. This study offers a practical and scalable strategy to promote prosocial workplace behavior and contributes a novel perspective to intervention-based OCB research

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pinjam Wifi menjalankan tahapan AISAS dengan strategi seperti iklan berbayar (Attention), kampanye promo dan diskon (Interest), penggunaan hashtag (Search), pembuatan berbagai jenis konten untuk membentuk engagement (Action), serta ulasan pelanggan yang dibagikan di Instagram (Share). Selain itu, strategi push & pull marketing diterapkan melalui iklan berbayar, distribusi retail, dan konten bisnis. City Branding dan Identitas Visual Kota Tanggerang di Instagram: Kajian Competitive Identity
Get PDFPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi elemen Competitive Identity dalam foto dan teks yang diunggah oleh akun Instagram @abouttng sebagai bagian dari strategi City branding Kota Tanggerang. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis isi kuantitatif deskriptif terhadap 50 unggahan selama periode Januari - Maret 2022. Enam elemen Competitive Identity yang digunakan mengacu pada teori Simon Anholt (2007), yaitu tourism, people, culture, investment, policy, dan brand. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa elemen Tourism Promotion dan People merupakan elemen yang paling dominan dalam konten caption dan gambar. Sementara elemen Exporting Brands tidak ditemukan sama sekali. Temuan ini mencerminkan kecenderungan city branding digital di Indonesia yang masih berfokus pada aspek pariwisata dan komunitas, namun belum secara optimal menampilkan narasi ekonomi lokal dan kebijakan. The Influence of Work Discipline and Work Motivation on Employee Performance with Job Satisfaction as an Intervening Variable at PT. Indonesian Living Plank

Strategy and Impact Analysis of Change Management on ERP System Implementation (Case Study in PT.XYZ)
Get PDFThis research aims to evaluate the strategy and impact of change management in implementing the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system in the Accounting and Finance division of PT. XYZ. The approach used is qualitative with a case study method, where data is collected through in-depth interviews and direct observation of ERP implementation. Research participants consisted of employees at various levels who provided insight into their challenges and experiences in adapting to the new system.The research results reveal that resistance to change, high workload, and differences in competence and understanding among employees are the main obstacles that hinder the success of ERP implementation. This research also shows that effective communication and ongoing training are instrumental in overcoming these obstacles. In addition, more structured workload management and the preparation of clear standard operating procedures (SOP) can increase implementation efficiency.Based on these findings, this research suggests that PT. XYZ strengthens change management through better communication, more intensive training, and more optimal human resource management during the transition. The implications of this research emphasize the importance of organizational preparation in facing major changes and the important role of managerial support in the success of implementing an ERP system effectively
The Influence of Social Media Usage, Knowledge Sharing, and Learning Organization on Employee Performance (A Study on Fulltiime Employees at Hotel Merapi Merbabu)
Get PDFThis research aims to explore and analyze the impact of social media usage, knowledge sharing, and learning organization on the performance of full-time employees at Hotel Merapi Merbabu. The study population includes full-time employees, and purposive sampling was utilized to select 92 respondents. Data collection was conducted through online questionnaires distributed via Google Forms, and the data were analyzed using SPSS software. The findings indicate that social media usage significantly and positively influences employee performance. Likewise, knowledge sharing and the learning organization both have significant positive effects on employee performance. These results highlight that establishing an effective learning organization, improving knowledge sharing, and leveraging social media effectively can be strategic methods to enhance employee performance in the hospitality sector
