    No full text

    No full text
The South Korean entertainment industry, particularly K-Pop, uses social media to connect the idols to their fans worldwide. This strategy is also used by Seventeen. K Pop idols Seventeen through their agencies manage continuous interactions, making fans believe they are close and know their idol well. The use of platforms also emphasizes the media multiplexity to connect with their mediated parasocial interaction. This phenomenon raises the question of how fandom Carat, the group of fans of Seventeen, weaves the parasocial interaction on Seventeen’s Youtube and Weverse. This research investigates the parasocial interaction done by Carat on Seventeen's Youtube and Weverse and the web of media or known as media multiplexity which emerges within the activity of idolization. This research uses a quasi-qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used in this study are interviews and document study. Based on the results, we found that Carat became their identity presented in parasocial interactions. Carat conducted mediated parasocial interactions on Youtube and Weverse. Through the media multiplexity Carat created a sense of comfort and familiarity coming from repeated exposure to Seventeen’s media and content. The next finding is that Carat felt that they were not close to Seventeen if they didn’t actively weave and connect their parasocial interaction.

    No full text
The appearance of four-wheeled vehicles is the first aspect observed by customers. Defects in appearance, such as gaps in the rear combination lamps, can reduce the competitiveness of Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV) products. Such defects affect product quality and customer satisfaction, making it essential for companies to minimize defects to enhance market competitiveness. This study applies the QCC (Quality Control Circle) method with a PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Action) approach, supported by the 8-step problem-solving process and 7 QC tools. The method aims to identify the root causes of defects and implement appropriate corrective actions. In its implementation, the Plan phase involves identifying the problem and analyzing root causes using QC tools such as Pareto charts and fishbone diagrams. In the Do phase, corrective actions are carried out by adjusting processes or materials. The Check phase includes evaluating the results of the corrective actions, while the Action phase ensures the changes are sustained over time. Using the QCC method, defect rates per unit decreased from 0.130 to 0.004

    No full text
This research aims to redesign a wheelchair to enhance comfort and safety based on the ergonomic needs of users through a holistic ergonomic approach. The study employs the FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) method to identify product failures in wheelchairs and determine preventive measures using the Risk Priority Number (RPN), calculated from Severity (S), Occurrence (O), and Detection (D). A biomechanical assessment using REBA (Rapid Entire Body Assessment) evaluates the posture and movements of wheelchair users and identifies factors contributing to ergonomic risks. The FMEA analysis revealed three failure modes with the highest RPN values: "head drooping" (192), "hands hitting the wheels" (120), and "feet drooping" (112). The REBA assessment indicated a final score of 9, signifying a high risk of injury, necessitating immediate corrective actions. In response to the findings from FMEA and REBA, a new wheelchair design is proposed, incorporating features such as neck support, a hydraulic system for the back, and calf supports. Additionally, the wheelchair dimensions will be adjusted based on the users' anthropometric measurements to ensure better ergonomics
